We've come for 5 years and have always had a great experience. The owner (or manager) is amazing and has come to me of her own volition to ask me how she could improve the space to be more inclusive of neurodivergent kids. Never has this ever happened in any other establishment. We also had 2 birthday parties there that both went great! The party hosts are proper hosts, super helpful and attentive. If you are a parent of young kids you know how crucial having that help is. All the staff knows my son by sight and are always welcoming and really tolerant and patient with my AuDHD son who constantly runs into every place he isn't supposed to. We feel like family here. I haven't gone on a hectic day (intentionally) so I can't speak to the rule enforcement on those days, but I can say that I have seen the strictness vary depending on the vibe, age, and amount of kids there. I appreciate this because it's annoying to have to parent other people's older kids around safety if they are being too rowdy around the little ones. They're all still just kids, though! The only improvement they could make is adding a slide or 2, but maybe that is in the future! Who knows! The most important thing to me is the intention and advocacy I have seen in management. Had the best birthday party experience here for our besties 5th birthday. We had a two hour party window which included an hour of free play, pizza party, private party area, setup/clean up and access to everything. They have a fun little kid zone for toddlers under 48". Trampolines, games, foam pits, ninja warrior style obstacle courses, lots and lots to do for all ages. (Parents included) The service and team members were wonderful and friendly. I've never thought to leave a review here as you either come to a space like this or you don't- Does my experience really matter? Tonight something made me realize- it does!! Especially for those families who have younger children and are squeamish about going when teens are there. We were the only people there (almost 7 year old and 9 year old kids) until a group of 4 teens came in. My immediate thought was UGH- How is this going to change our night. They were sort of a motley crew running around. Yes I'm that mom who used to be cool but now calls a group of teens motley crews. I watched as one of the staff members- A bit of a seasoned woman- short hair and glasses approached them to what I thought was scold them. I saw her pointing out younger kids (by this time about 10 other people were here) and talking about the 4 teens in a way that might suggest they weren't being cautious about age differences. I couldn't make out what she was saying but I watched as she took them to the basketball section and showed them a cool game they could do there that might be fun like dodgeball but not put the younger kids at risk of their tendancy to play a lot harder. They started and it was clearly fun! She was laughing as they smashed the ball over the nets at each other blocking the others from getting the balls into the hoop holes. It was a great approach that deserves to be acknowledged! Well done Air FX!! Now- can we please get some healthier food options at the concession stand? ;-) read more

There are two trampoline parks in town. I would say that which park has the better facilities tends to vary. One park will add something new that gives them a slight edge. Then the other park will add something slightly better. At first, I didn't really have a preference between the two parks, but I eventually realized that my family always has better experiences at AirFX. Over time, I realized that the difference is that the people here are much nicer. It's just little things. At the other park, one of my kids was brought to tears when an employee yelled at them for wearing AirFX socks. At AirFX, I had two different employees simultaneously offer to help carry my food back to my table. It's always things that are little enough that you might just think you caught the employees at one park on a good day, and caught the employees at the other park on a bad day. The employees at AirFX always seem to be on a good day, though. Another factor that separates the two parks is the food. I'm a fat guy. I can't tell you which park has the higher climbing wall. You're not going to see me dunking a basketball no matter how bouncy the trampolines are. I can tell you with absolute authority that the pizza is considerably better at AirFX. If you're going to sit at a table for an hour or two while your kids wear themselves out, why not do it at the park that has better pizza? Also, AirFX does one night a week during the warm weather (Friday, maybe?) When they have outdoor activities like things where you can bounce on bungee cords, a gigantic climbing wall, and their mini-golf course (which is available all week). They charge a flat fee per person for all of that stuff. My kids love it. Anyway, if you're looking for a trampoline park, I highly recommend AirFX. My boyfriend took my daughter and I out to play miniature golf at AirFX. We paid inside and then went outside to get our clubs and play. We played miniature golf on their miniature golf course outside next to their building. My boyfriend and I have both been to a lot of miniature golf courses and we thought it was a nice miniature golf course but my teenager thought all of the holes were too short and complained the whole time but she was also losing so maybe that played into it, lol. My wife and I started planning a birthday party for our 6 year old daughter over a month ago.  We booked a party at AirFX junior jumper from 9am to 11am.  3 days before the party we find out that two friends just turned 7.  One 5 days earlier and one 17 days earlier.  As honest people we call to let AirFX know and we are told they can only observe not jump.  Speaking with the owners we are told the policy is clear and no exceptions will be made.  It is unreasonable for parents to know the exact age of all friends invited.  Two friends out of eleven would not be allowed to participate.  In our case 17 days earlier there would not have been issue.  It is clear AirFX owners are not in the business of children's feelings.  Children are a resources for a bottom line.  I hope my review finds someone before they make the same mistake.  I doubt I am the first that this issue has occurred with.  Be very aware when planning a junior jumper birthday party.  Not worth the risk in my opinion. read more

They offer a decent trampoline park, laser tag hidden behind some plywood walls, and a dodge ball area along with a mini golf course. It's decently priced and as of right now, it's clear they are still starting out and still renovating quite a bit. It's not near a finished, functional establishment but for what they have, it's safe and acceptable. I personally have only played on their mini golf course, so I can't say too much about the actual trampoline part of it. To get to the course, I had to walk through the area where all the trampolines were located and it looked like potential fun. There were all ages around but it appeared to be mostly centered around kids/early teenagers with a few older mixed in. The noise level confirmed that the kids were no doubt having a blast but I wasn't sure if it was the people or the construction making the most noise. I went in the summer so it might have been a little quieter if we had gone during the school year. To play golf, it's only 5 dollars. I could have played for free though considering there was literally no one manning the area, just a lone unpainted shed where they keep all the balls and clubs. It's just like what you would expect coming from a newer business with a majority of the employees being teenagers. It wasn't very clean or taken care. of. It was on the smaller side - but again, it was only 5 dollars so my expectations weren't that high to begin with. There are basically no other options for mini golf anywhere in the area so we ended up there by default. The view from outside was nice, I'll give it that. It needs a lot of work. I probably won't take the half hour drive again until they get some of their shit together and maybe establish some structure. Currently, I think it would be a good place to take some bored kids during the summer or weekend but it has potential to be fun for adults as well in the future. read more

Overly packed/booked, no tables available. Waited for one to open up, but after 30mins of jumping noticed workers moving our personal items from the table. Went over to ask where our items were at and why they were being moved without letting us know, they had a last minute birthday party and needed space. They didn't have any reserved signs on the table, no announcement over the intercom asking for certain tables to move and made a few group of people move as well. We asked where are we supposed to sit to eat, then they said a table over there (No empty table insight) they had to search and wait for another one able for us. Having been to variety of children/parent events at a variety of places, I would rate this place as "meh". The cost for an hour was $12 since it was on a Sunday. It is cheaper on the weekday (only $10 for the hour) The place looks cheap and run down. The trampoline's looked fine, but everything else looked low rent. The women's restroom had a broken paper towel dispenser and a roll sitting on top of the trashcan was placed for your convenience. It was cold, but I suspect if you were jumping you were fine. If you aren't, bring a heavy sweatshirt because there is no insulation on those steel walls. The food. Very limited offerings. Ok, are you there to eat? If you are...don't! I stood waiting for my drink and watched the lone adult who was "hand stretching" pizza dough. No food service gloves and I watched him go from task to task with no hand washing. Yuck. Most of the staff was young and you could feel the apathy wafting off of them. If you haven't signed the waiver on line, you have to do it on one of their computers. One of three was not working and so we had to wait since we hadn't been there before. The signs warning of serious injury including paralysis were a nice touch and made me think that the Play Station might be a better spot for the kiddo's next time. Oh yeah, that pit of sponges...pit of virus...I wonder how much mucus is on them? read more

I really want to give this place four stars but I shouldn't. The place is very popular right now which goes against them wanting to be better. The staff are not trained well and overwhelmed. You can tell they don't want to be there. The place is largely un-managed by staff. This is their biggest detriment. Tables are messy, computers for waivers don't work, lack of signage, music decibels are high and add to the chaos, and crowded entryway creates anxiety in the parent in me. The trampoline park is in good condition and I really like their trampolines better than Sky Zone; however, it's not so great when there's not enough staff managing them. I'm surprised more people aren't hurt. There is a sweet kid's area intended for under 36" kids. However, a lot of big kids run around in this area full force and parents are left to make sure their kids are trampled as there are no staff that comes in and checks in on kids. I would suggest this place if you know that school is in session and you know that there won't be a ton of people as it seems that AirFX does not cut off how many people can be using their facilities until they get into trouble. read more

I tried to set up a party through one of my friends who works there. Tina, one of the owners, answered the phone, I asked to speak to my friend and she refused. I then said I would like to set up a party and Tina hung up on me. I called back and same thing happened. I don't get the logic behind an owner of a business hanging up on potential customers, let alone someone trying to set up a party. i would advice anyone not to pursue an event at this establishment, not due to the facilities but the lack of customer service the owner shows towards their customer. We came here because we had a "Here's the deal" deal that included lazer frenzy, mini golf and pizza. The kids loved lazer frenzy but I'm glad our deal got us 8 tokens at half price because otherwise you pay $1 per token and each lazer frenzy round lasts about 30 seconds. The mini golf course looked nice from a distance, but up close it needed alot of repairs. The first problem was that they offered only white golf balls for our group of 4 - really hard for young kids to keep track of which ball was theirs since they all looked the same! They when we started playing we noticed that every hole had bricks either completely missing (causing your ball to roll out) or bricks that were loose (a trip hazard for kids). Also, most of the holes had areas where the green outdoor carpet stuff had been ripped out. Not sure if this was due to neglect or intentional to create a sand trap appearance, but most of them were oddly placed so I'm guessing it was neglect. Also, multiple holes had debris from trees all over the greens, and one hole near the end had an evergreen tree hanging over the green. Overall, my kids still had fun but I'm glad we only paid 1/2 price for the whole deal. It seems like they've put all their efforts into the trampoline area and neglected the golf. We wouldn't make the 30 min drive to do golf again but will likely be back to try the trampolines. read more

We have gone since the beginning at least monthly and on breaks several times a week for several hours. Tonight was a complete disaster. In dodgeball the worker in there let boys 12-17 hit our girls who are 9-12 in the face repeatedly. The worker laughed at this and did nothing. Then the young man came over and used some swear words to the girls and when I asked him to please leave their area--the older girls they were with called me the B word again staff heard and did nothing. These young gentlemen earlier when in line for concessions was using multiple swear words and there were girls 3-5 in line and again some of this was with staff within ear shot. I have never not felt this place wasn't safe until this evening. Maybe there should be a few managers at night that are a little older to protect younger kids. Very disappointing because my kids have loved this place for years. read more

Plus side: it's so very big. Great trampoline fun. But it is also so very dirty. The nets/screens that keep you from falling over the edge that run from the top of the trampolines to the ceiling are so dusty people have written their names on them. The foam blocks are tattered and old and disgusting. My son and I are still recovering from a respiratory issue I'm certain we acquired from our swim in the murky foam block pool of germs. Been hacking up a lung ever since our visit almost 3 weeks ago. Seriously. It's much like a business run by teenagers, because it does, in reality, seem to be run by teenagers. We love this place! Our kids have been to birthday parties there, we've taken family members from out of state there for a Christmas gift, we've taken advantage of several of the 2 for Tuesdays, and I personally took a few of their early morning Air-obics classes when they offered them last summer. There is NO DOUBT that when the kids are there they are having an exhaustive blast! One of the best things is that its a place for adults to join their kids and jump with them, and not have to sit there and spectate. The facility appears to always be improving and adding things from more and more food items to better air conditioning to the laser maze. We think its great that this new activity was brought to Cedar Rapids! Go have fun! read more

Hosted my daughters bday party here. Staff was young but helpful and can't beat a party where there is no clean up to be had. Kids jumped for an hour and the. Had a party room for 40 mins for cake and ice-cream. Can bring in both and staff provided free drink for each child. Hands down trampoline part is best part abt this place. And with skyzone coming into town these guys will have to be on point. But as a local business in CR important to support local all we can and help them improve over time. read more

Kids may think this is a fun place but when you consider you are signing a waver to participate maybe a concerned and loving parent ought to think twice, Personally have witnessed the horrific injury my granddaughter experienced after being there for less than five minutes. She had to be taken by ambulance to the hospital where they diagnosed a severely broken leg that required immediate surgery with pins placed into the bones. She now will be attending school in a wheelchair and will be monitored by her pediatric orthopedic surgeon for two years for growth complications. His statement is these places are very unsafe because of the extreme high bouncing. Have some sense parents and protect your children. You are in charge not the child. Read the waver. This place is a huge accident waiting to happen. This broke our hearts to witness a needless accident. read more

Well...if I could give it a negative 5, I would. My 11 year old was there on 4/30/16. The supervision of staff was horrible. The place was very crowded, and with virtually no staff supervision the crowd was all over the place. Staff literally stood around and watched the ciaos. End result was a big teenage boy hap-hazardly going into other peoples trampoline areas. What happened unfortunately was he fell hard on my daughters foot/ankle and resulted in an ER visit with a broken ankle. Beware...even tho a person is following rules..the other kids that have no control over behaviors can injure the innocent. I guess that is why they have you sign a waiver. Should have been our first clue. read more
