There are clear directions and paths that guide you to passport control and baggage claim. The restrooms are clean. I think I was mostly impressed with how quiet it was outside at the rideshare pickup point. The vehicles in this city mostly run on electricity. Even their public buses are 100% electric. It's just something that was very noticeable to us throughout our stay in Copenhagen. It deserves a mention. I can't really rate it higher than 4 stars since it was an arrival with no departure. We didn't stay at the airport long enough to experience what it has to offer. I'll update this review if we ever find ourselves at CPH again in the future.

Copenhagen Airport isn't the best airport I've flown through, but it's also not the worst!…read more Our experience after landing was less than ideal. Getting through customs took a long time because there were only two agents processing passports for non-EU citizens. Signage wasn't great. And the only bathrooms we found on the way out were two dingy single occupancy ones. At least getting between the airport and the city was quite smooth. The metro goes right up to the airport, and Copenhagen just has a terrific public transportation system. When we returned for our departure, getting through security was slow. Liquids have to be taken out of bags, jackets and hats come off, and security agents open up a fair amount of bags (maybe from people not following protocol). And getting through outbound customs was again slow. We got stuck for 10 minutes behind two guys who were apparently having passport issues, while the adjacent line was moving normally. A worker let people behind us get into a different line but she basically ignored us until we got her attention. Inside the terminal, things were better. There are some cool shops including a LEGO store. Bathroom placement is okay, but the bathrooms in the high traffic areas didn't have urinals and could use more stalls. The free WiFi was reliable, and each gate seems to have a long table with power outlets and USB charging. There are also several airport lounges, including a couple that take Priority Pass. The wife hit up the Aspire lounge using her Priority Pass and said it was quite nice. I have to take her word for it since I don't have my own membership! Overall, Copenhagen Airport is an okay place to fly through. Part of our poor experience was due to bad luck, but a lot of it could've been improved with better processes.

The price is very fair for the really convenient location. We took advantage of the free walking tour - which I highly recommend especially if you (like us) aren't too familiar with Danish history. The bar is very lively and convivial, ended up being a great place both to start and end our nights. It's not exactly a quiet hostel, but we didn't have any major issues. Towels and locks are not provided, so make sure to bring your own or purchase at check in. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I would stay again.

I stayed a night at their queen sized capsule, and found the experience satisfying overall. They…read moreoffer a wide variety of amenities - even ranging to charging adapters and bicycle rentals per 11 and 24 hours, most aren't free but are very reasonably priced. This hostel is a 15 minute walk to Strøget, a street lined with stores and interesting things. There is also a Købmand right across the street. There's a bar connected to the hostel, happy hour at 8-9 that offers three varieties of beverage deals for only 60 DKK; 1L of beer, two servings of liquor with a mixer of your choice, or 10 of each shot they have on offer. I had a rum and coke the evening I stayed, and there's always a different event every evening, I feel the whole concept of this place is innovative and geared towards keeping patrons amused. Shower is mostly sanitary, good water pressure, and though it is a popular hostel, I didn't experience having to wait my turn to shower / use the bathroom. There was always one available. The rooms where the capsules are seems to be quite safe, people leave their belongings around in the shared space, and everyone - at least in my experience - were friendly, respectful, and open to helping each other, the diversity of this place was a pleasant experience for me. Now onto the negatives... The LIVE musician on Tuesday, 18/4/23 (they had LIVE music every Tuesday night at the bar) was subpar. Volume over anything else, it seems. I sat and listened to him for about an hour, and I don't feel like he has much awareness, more so, control over his pitch - which is a common theme among hobby musicians. He's very much "guy who plays Wonderwall at parties", and not so much "Someone who gets paid actual money to entertain a crowd" The elevator is ancient. There's a novelty to it, which I truly and genuinely appreciate. But there are no indicators as to what is happening while you wait for the elevator. The button feels like a Fisher Price toy, and after you press it, nothing happens until it arrives - when does it arrive? Did you or did you not click the button properly? Only God and the building manager knows. It also says the elevator fits 4 people - I think that only counts if those 4 people are runway models... Unless you don't care about personal space, that is. The food... Oh god the food. For the price, you can definitely find better in town. I had pizza for 80 DKK, which is the standard price for it generally. The dough was soggy, like it had been made with hands that's cursed to never stop sweating. The slice, held up, was limp and sad, it wasn't great. In the morning I ordered a veggie toast with olives, that one was better, though the portions are small. But I recommend their toasts over the pizza. Check-in at reception was easy and quick, it was pleasant for us. But if you're landing from a long flight or arriving after a long commute in the evening (after 19:00), get ready to check-in at the bar, where the reception is, among loud and intoxicated customers. This isn't necessarily a negative, but I feel like it should be addressed. For 240 DKK a night, this hostel wasn't bad at all. But I feel the tagline "Copenhagen's Most Popular Hostel" can be misleading in that it fails to capture "perhaps it's popular due to the price, and not necessarily the overall quality". However I will definitely still recommend this hostel, while making sure you're aware of the uglier parts of it. Thanks for hosting us, Copenhagen Downtown Hostel :)

Not to mention it was really close to Torvehallerne Square, which is around an eight-minute walk from the hotel. I arrived early, before check-in, and the reception staff offered to hold my luggage so I could explore the city. They give you a code and place it in a locked and video-monitored closet down in the basement. It was easy to do and safe for your belongings. After some exploring, I returned to the hotel around 4 PM and finally checked in. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that my single room had been upgraded to a larger room for free. I was stoked to hear that and loved the room and location they gave me. The room was beautifully furnished and was very clean! The only downside is the no AC. The temperature that day was in the low 60s (60-63 degrees). This may sound nice, but it was rather toasty in my room. They had a standing fan that, unfortunately, did not rotate, but it helped somewhat. They give you very heavy-duty duvets that are better for winter weather, but thankfully, I opened some of the windows in my room, which made it more bearable to sleep at night. The staff here was so friendly and accommodating. It's very close to plenty of sights, attractions, and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again. I intentionally planned my 2 days in Denmark around this area, with my hotel and the sites I wanted to visit within walking distance. It has 7 platforms and 13 tracks, making it the largest train station in Denmark. With 100,000 travelers per day, it is the second busiest in the country. Getting to it from the airport required taking the M2 line, transferring at Kongens Nytorv to the either the M3 or M4 line to get here. The journey took a little over 30 minutes, and the trains were relatively crowded on both the inbound and outbound. The cost was (30,00 DKK - $4.69 USD converted) for the one way. There are no gates of any sort, and I didn't see any security doing ticket checks. Read on-line that fines could be substantial. Since the trains to the airport run so frequently, didn't have a chance to admire/partake of the station. On my next longer visit, will linger a bit more.
