Had a work-in visit today from Airmaster for a old old old unit that stopped working over the weekend. The horizontal unit is tucked away in a kneewall and is difficult to access the drain pan....which was the entirety of the problem. Clogged drainline which resulted in a float switch stopping the entire unit until emptied. The closed in area was no problem for the tech, Richard...who unclogged the line and then heaved himself into the knee wall between the rafters and horizontal furnace in order to clean the pan. Checking the pressure at the condensing unit, we had sufficient everything including temp testing the supply and return ducts....he wrapped it up in less than an hour and back to cooling off that portion of our home. It always an expense to call in for any maintenance and repair on any part of your home....but fair prices and good workers makes it worth the while for my continuing to call back AirMaster. read more

I had used this company on a maintenance plan for 2 years and never had a problem. In fact, I liked the technician. My HVAC unit was leaking. I had them replace the freon, however this didn't fix the problem. I called and asked them about getting a leak test. They told me it would be $150 to perform the test. I told them ok. They said they needed my credit card info. I then decided to hold off, and check with my realtors HVAC guy. I figured I could get the job done cheaper going with an independent. I went with another HVAC guy. I set up the appointment with my realtors HVAC guy and because Airmaster said they couldn't move forward without a credit card, i just never called them back. Airmaster sent their technician out anyways and my new guy called to tell me they had already sent someone out. I was shocked and angry. I called them about a week later and tried to explain what happened and the girl immediately started talking into me. She had an accusatory tone which frustrated me even further. She basically called me a liar an started accusing me of credit card theft. The conversation became very heated. I called back and asked to speak with the owner. The owner basically did the same thing as the girl who answered the phone. Not willing to listen and accusing me of lying. I have never experienced such poor customer service in my life...and all for a $150 service call that I DID NOT AUTHORIZE. I plan to contact the Better Business Bureau to complain further. read more

We bought our home new 6 years ago. In these hot Georgia summers, the a/c never really kept the house cold. However, I generally kept the a/c at 80 because we also have ceiling fans running in every room (and it keeps the bill down). Our a/c units ran non-stop during the summers but I thought that was normal. It wasn't until I became pregnant that I finally called someone to service our a/c a few summers ago. These guys came out and told me my a/c units were half full of freon. They filled them up and immediately cold air came from the vents. Furthermore, the a/c continually ran at 82/83 on the hot days and the day they filled the freon, 78 degrees felt wonderful. The a/c was finally able to cool the house and didn't have to run non-stop. Within a month, we saw our power bill drop by nearly $100. We signed up for their biannual service (heat & air) and have been grateful ever since. We love these guys and they're straightforward & very knowledgable with any a/c or heating questions you might have. Definitely recommend! read more

Today was my third time using AirMaster, and I have been extremely pleased with their service every time. The first visit was a basic repair when the furnace died. For the second visit, I purchased a new AC unit (keeps us delightfully chilly in the summer). Last night I had a fairly severe power problem that burned out *something* in the furnace. Called AirMaster this morning. They worked me into their schedule today, and serviceman Ronnie was at the house by 3:00, replaced a transformer, and was out by 3:00. Note that this was on a furnace brand that they do not normally sell. These guys are definitely at the top of my "preferred vendor" list. read more

One of our units decided that the middle of summer was a great time to DIE. We decided that the entire HVAC system was to get totally replaced and upgraded. Of course, we didn't like the fact that we were about to spend $6000! People. You get what you pay for. We found that AM was competitive with everyone else. The service from the installers, owner and girl in the office has always been pleasant. Just knowing that I have folks that know what they're doing and pleasant to deal with is worth it. We've now moved on to our next house which needs a new system and our first call ... Air Masters. Again, I'm totally not digging spending this much money but again, I know it'll be done right the first time, a mess won't be left behind, and it'll be professional. read more

Recently my A/C system started acting up (not cooling well), so I called Air Master. They came out and confirmed I was leaking Freon (R22). I had the leak test performed to determine where the leak was and the tech found a leak in three different places; unfortunately one of the leaks were in the evaporator coil. He sealed the other two leaks the best he could without charging me any more money, but told me it was just a temporary fix. I was told that it would cost over $1900 to correct the leak in the evaporator coil and suggested I just get a new A/C and furnace since both units were 22 years old. I was planning on getting new units next year anyway but was hoping to be able to hold out until then. When I heard the repair costs, I decided to bite the bullet and have them replaced now since I didn't want to dump any more money into these old systems. Air Master sent a tech over right after the July 4th holiday and did a thorough inspection of my home and quoted me three prices for three different units. After getting a quote from another company for comparison, I decided to go with Air Master, based on my previous business relationship with them and their great service. I opted for the mid level 16 SEER unit which was 60% higher than my old 10 SEER unit. After scheduling the appointment they arrived on time and completed the install of my furnace, A/C, evaporator coil, and new thermostat the same day. They even took off the amount I paid for leak detection from the final price. Also because I paid with check I got another discount. After all the discounts, I ended up paying a little over $5500 which I think was a great deal. I now have a brand new heating and A/C system that uses the new Puron coolant and my home is in compliance with the new regulations. Replacing these systems now means I have one less thing to worry about and I know I will be cool in the summer and warm in the winter. I absolutely love these guys and I highly recommend them to anyone else. read more
