I have been a loyal PetSmart grooming patron for quite sometime!! Well that all come crashing down today, Customer Service by the Manager at this location is severely lacking. I have scheduled 3 dogs since moving here, paid well over $100 every time, and I called 2 weeks ago and scheduled appointments and verified with Katie that the appointment was for all 3 and guess what, show up today to only be told they will accept one because they only scheduled 1. That's not my fault, I called and scheduled all 3 and the store manager could only so Oh well, we can schedule the other 2 but we're booked out a few weeks!! Unacceptable, I scheduled appointments around my work schedule and it was your mistake and you should have made it right. So my money will now go to the home town small business and no more PetSmart!!! I suggest anyone in Terre Haute look at the local businesses and give your hard earned money to the mom and pop business instead of corporate. read more

I still feel like most of the pet supplies are overpriced, but they are in line with the market. This location has a great dog training program, a pet groomer, and hosts local adoption events constantly. The store is clean with a friendly staff. We have not always had the best luck with aquadics here, but nothing that would prevent repeat business. read more

I have went in to the grooming salon and while one dog was being serviced the other was denied due to breed. They failed to complete the nail grind on my dog that was serviced and still expected me to pay for the service. There were two dogs outside the salon that growled and barked at my dogs before snapping at them but my dog was told he was aggressive. My dog was banned from services and it was reported that he had drew blood on another dog when the owner even confirmed with us that there was nothing wrong. He confirmed that his dog was the aggressor and then asked if our dog was okay. The manager refused to speak with us and salon staff spoke with the other owner to get what happened but did not speak with us and reported that we were banned with no other time taken. The manager refused to speak with us per salon staff and the manager did not speak with us when first looking into it. The owner of the other dog even stated that his 7 month old dog started it and we were the ones banned. I will not be returning and suggest you look for dog grooming elsewhere.we have been going for 2 years and all of sudden there are these issues with us not the new dog coming for the first time. You have lost a loyal employee and the rude comments from staff will not be forgotten. read more

Sarah is an bonafide artisan at canine grooming. She skillfully soothed my pup with soap application and removal. As a troubled hound only nurturing hands can calm this savage beast. I hold this person in very high regards in the treatment of my friend. I recommend you seeing her and only her on your next visit. read more

Terribly unfriendly and ridiculously overpriced.

We will not go back to Petsmart Terre Haute. Took our Wheaten in for grooming on 1/8/17 and told them upfront that she had some pretty bad mats (which is why we went here on short notice instead of waiting for our regular groomer). We popped in after the 3 hours to check bc we hadn't received a call that she was done. They were still working on her, which was fine; it takes as long as it takes. The issue we have is that no less than 3 times we were shamed and practically scolded by the groomers because it took longer than expected because her underside had mats. We told them that going into it. I literally said "she's got some pretty bad mats, so shave her if you have to" instead the groomer said "she hates me because I had to spend so much time hurting her trying to brush the mats out" The groomers were rude and their comments we unnecessary. read more

I've been shopping at pets Matt here in Terre Haute,IN for awhile now. I've spent well over $3,000 there. We bought a 60 gallon aquarium with stand,filters,accessories and of course our fish and also my daughter's hamster and supplies. We also have our dog groomed there. The service there has always great, but here lately the service has not been so good, if fact it has been a down right nightmare going in the store. The employees have been down right rude!!!! For example: We went in to buy feeder fish (for our turtle and oscars) we asked the employee to please put them in clean water from another tank (the tank feeders were in was filthy and we did not to add that water to our beautiful 60 gallon aquarium. She absolutely refused and said the fish could die if she did that I said that's ok they are "FEEDER FISH" my turtle don't care if they our dead, in fact they are easier for him to catch and a few dead one's was ok with us. Anyway, the employee absolutely threw a fit, argued with us if front of other customers it was kind of embarrassing really. She was almost yelling at us at one point she threw net down and walked away. So we walked away to. It turned into a big ordeal involving managers walking up to us in other parts of the store. All this over a simple request to have clean water so my other fish did not get ick from there filthy feeder fish water. This is just one instance the worst one i would say. I don't know what is going on with this store, but it used to be fun to go in there and employees were helpful when you had a question. It's to the point I hate to go in there, and wouldn't if they were not the only one who sells out filter replacement cartridges. read more

Good, thorough grooming of our dog who had gotten into poop and had it stuck all over her face and beard. Staff got me in quickly and did a beautiful job cleaning and grooming. Also recommended good flea product which I bought there. Very pleased overall with service, cleanliness, care, and friendly, helpful atmosphere. read more

I am actually quite disappointed with the way this store is ran. To sell as many small reptiles as they do and to constantly be out of crickets and mainly meal worms seems absolutely absurd. I was even told that it could be up to "about a week" before they would get more. Really?! Everytime we have visited their store in the last year we have coated atleast a dozen visibly half dead and dead fish stuck to the filters and in the rocks. All while 3-4 employees walk around the areas surrounding paying no mind to the fact. We adopted a cat from here that came from the sullivan humane society and the employee told us that she wished us luck because they were not supposed to receive animals from Sullivan due to their poor conditions and hoped our cat faired well. We were also told by this employee that she was sorry that we had to buy one of their over priced harnesses to walk out the door with the cat, but because the manager was there she had to insist and not just let us buy a much cheaper collar and leash. This store is ran very poorly and I only feel two stars are even deserving due to the fact that I am completely behind animal adoption and sterilization apposed to breeding and over populating. Please re evaluate your training and store policies. Very disappointed. read more

Very disappointed in this store! We went there over the weekend and it wasn't busy and waited a long time to get fish. Their fish were in very poor shape and many belly up. The girl that "helped" us was bored to death and acted like we interrupted her texting time. Needless to say, we won't be back. read more
