When the opioid epidemic struck they were quick to cut me off cold Turkey after I refused to let them inject me month after month so they could bill my insurance thousands I'm sure. That was the best thing that could of ever happened. I got myself off pain meds after 6 years but doctors like this started this pandemic. I'll take my blame but shame on them for giving a 24 year old those drugs then treating me like I had a problem. I have family members who go there with major issues . They want them to get off their medication go on Suboxone and then after a while they'll give them opioids again.. makes no sense . I'm extremely grateful I took myself off opioids all alone and I'll never ever be the same - overall traumatic. No one ever told me the side effects of these drugs . I never was coached on the risks they just kept upping my meds. Started me out at 8 norco a day then I was put all the way up To dilaudid with accompanying slow release hydrocodone (zyhydros). Then one day it was no more .. no compassion .. I deal with my pain daily .. which I'm ok with . I'll never ever take another pain pill again and I pray for those who have turned to drastic measures to manage their pain. These doctors knew what they were doing but they were making a lot of money off us with Tricare insurance (the best insurance out there ) shame on you guys for knowingly handing the scripts out then when it came down on you you act judgmental like we are the ones who are to blame.

Her reason was that my insurance company could not find me in their system. So my wife called our insurance company and they called the office and talked with the woman who does the preauthorizations. They told her what they needed. The paperwork was faxed to the office. This was all started on the 11th of August. I have called every week in hopes that the paperwork has been done. I have left several messages for her and none have been returned. So I call today and finally get her on the phone only to have her tell me that she has never talked to my insurance company and that she has not received any paperwork. My wife was literally on the phone when the insurance called her. I hate to call anyone a liar but she is definitely one. IShe was so rude that I lost my cool. Then she hung up the phone on me. Review of SA Pain Clinic - 5522 Lone Star Pkwy, San Antonio, TX…read more This was my first visit to SA Pain Clinic, a civilian facility I was referred to by the VA for chronic back pain after 21 years of military service. I've never felt more disrespected by a medical staff. Right away, I was handed paperwork focused entirely on mental health--nothing about my back pain. This is supposed to be a pain management clinic, not a psychology office. Then a staff member told me I'd been "randomly selected" for a drug test. When I questioned it, she said, "A lot of people come here looking for pain pills." That was unnecessary and offensive. When she called my name, she told me with attitude, "You can't see the doctor unless you pee in a cup." I had every intention of cooperating until she said it like that. I've never been seen by this clinic before and don't take pain medication unless prescribed. I even provided recent lab results from Lackland Air Force Base as a courtesy. It seemed this clinic was more focused on billing unnecessary tests than helping patients. I plan to contact the VA to have this place reviewed and hopefully removed from the approved provider list. Veterans deserve respect and real care--not judgment or disrespect.

A customer was 2 mins pasted his "15 min" Grace period because of the line being too long.. smh They dont do routine lab exams like they say they're supposed to do and they dont upload the daily documentation that was discussed during the appointment.
