I really like this place but... this is the kind of place that I typically like. I love seeing bands play live. I'm not into stadium shows though. I prefer rooms like this or small theaters. This is my ideal: You can see the band from pretty much anywhere in the room. Decent bar, pretty good drink prices. Friendly, efficient staff. Usually a cool crowd when I've been. Street parking is available but can fill up. There is a good sized (pay) parking lot adjacent to the building but it can fill up, especially near showtime. Note that there are other venues, bars & restaurants nearby so everyone is trying to park in this area. I have found parking every time that I've been but sometimes I have to drive & hunt. read more

i have been here a bunch of times. the sound isn't at all good and the staff are rude, but i can handle those. what isn't okay, however, is how they handle people who are too high. they host lots of bass music - a genre for better or worse built on drugs - and the level of disrespect for patrons is unreal. i passed out at the venue. if i did or said something egregious, i could accept that; last night, the staff REFUSED to fill me in on details. they refused to help me find my brother inside. they refused to let me sit on the couch for a while while i was unable to find my way home. instead, they berated me; they laughed at and mocked me, they told me to "fu!! off" and threatened to call the cops on me (lol good luck considering this place is a drug den as much as they pretend it isn't), and, worst of all, wouldn't tell me why they wouldn't let me back in, but rather forced me off their patio. without getting into the absolutely fu!!ed legal sh!!show they could get in had i decided to drive, the absolutely flagrant and callous disregard for my safety should say as much as anyone needs to say about this place. even if i did something really bad - which, from what i've gathered, i just passed out (and i own that) - they had a vendor selling drug spoons right there by the door which they refused to let me in in a cosmically depressing hypocritical display. all in all, this place is a serious joke with honestly awful sound and amenities, and the hysterically thin veil they put on substance use while actively serving alcohol to patrons who are too messed up (not me but i've seen it) should dissuade anyone from spending money here. all in all, this place is high key trash with sh!!ty staff who treat it like their own personal club, reeeeally sh!!ty sound that constantly goes above 105dB (dangerous and illegal), and a complete disregard for patrons safety and well being. if you are an artist, book at terminal west, variety playhouse, the masquerade (god forbid), a house show, or skip this city entirely. for artists whose scene is based on psychedelia, they sure don't seem to care at all about peoples' well being + the callous disregard for my safety last night (VERY luckily FOR THEM i am not a young man and can handle myself and got home through the benevolence of my roommate though i was not allowed to be near the venue for threat of LE to wait it out) leads me to believe this venue is NOT AT ALL WORTH ATTENDING OR PLAYING IN ANY CAPACITY. if you don't believe me, message me on bluesky @fractalpuppy.bsky.social, ig @fractalboywonder, or tg @fractalpuppy. i am an open book, and i will own my shortcomings and misdeeds, but the treatment i received last night is unbelievably unprofessional, unhospitable, lacking in compassion, and dangerous for the safety of their patrons. read more

Came here for an event on a Thursday night. First visit here. Small venue in the middle of Little 5 Points. This feels like a standard college bar with a small stage. Not sure if it was the event itself, but I wasn't very impressed with the venue. It was just ok. There are a couple of small tables with a few chairs, so you'll be doing a lot of standing if you can't get a seat (which is more likely to happen than not). If you are short (I'm 5'2), be prepared not to be able to see anything. I actually had to stand on a chair because it was difficult to see, and I wasn't in the front. It wasn't a sold out show so it wasn't that bad, but I could see it being completely unenjoyable for someone short like myself. Parking was very limited. We took an Uber here so we didn't have to deal with the hassle of looking for parking, etc. On a weekday it wasn't so bad, but if the event is full then expect it to be difficult to find parking. Love this place. It's used for small concerts. I've seen lot of great local bands and DJ's here. Always a great set up, sound is good too. Stage is near the entrance, bar is in the back with cheap drinks and beers.. They offer cheap parking next door. Clean facility and restrooms. There isn't alot of seating options, expect to stand. There are a handful of bar stools near the bar, that's it. As others have noted, this place creates an intimate experience because it's small. read more

Great new music venue with excellent service. When I go to a bar where beer is cheap and music is good, I just want some basics. No rude bouncers, quick bar service and relative cleanliness. This spot hit it right on target. Service was great, despite being busy on a Friday Halloween night, I loved not having to wait a long time for a drink. The bartenders would always acknowledge my presence and I'd be served within a minute or two at most. Love it. They have decent vodkas like Tito's and Ketel. Shots would be around 6 bucks a piece, which is a bit pricey compared to other places in town and knowing that I am about to drink it out of a paper shot glass. They need to bring down the price point a bit. However, vodka was chilled properly and bartenders were spot on. The guys at the entrance were also pretty cool, so I'd come back here without hesitation to see a DJ or show. read more

Saw a show here on 2/18/17. First visit. Staff is good. Venue conveniently located in the heart of L5P with a parking lot it shares with Arden's Garden and the bike shop. If you are a shorty (under 5'4) this isnt the venue for you. Especially if its a sold out show. Dont expect to be able to see the artists perform unless you are first in. A graduated floor would make a ton on sense in this place. Also it was hot as balls. The tall amazons who filled the club I'm sure were fine. Cool venue in Little 5, surrounded by the local ATL culture. Cozy and intimate venue. The sound was incredible! My friends and I were mostly in the middle-back, but the bass sounded amazing. Acoustics great and location is ideal but not sure what they are doing with a handful of chairs and tables.. We got there early sat down fortunately because it got crowded hours later. We are shoved up against the wall so you couldn't see once they started playing. Most venues have seating up on risers on sides or in back not that close to stage. If your young and enjoy standing for 4 to 5 hours then this is a great venue but if not wait till they play somewhere else with seating. I remember Five Spot was a smaller venue, but walking in to see the big transformation made me appreciate the vibes the rest of the night. At long last Atlanta, we have a venue that does the east side justice. I hadn't been to this place since it used to be the Five Spot and was absolutely blown away by the transformation the new owners have done to the venue. Upon entering, it's clear that they went above and beyond with the renovation. The inside has been completely overhauled to include a new stage, sound system, lighting set-up, and bar. As a music lover, I really appreciate the thought and effort that went into this new layout. The stage has been re-positioned in such a way that the entire venue is front and center. Acoustically, this provides the place with unbelievably good sound. Throughout the evening, whether I was hanging back by the bar or near the front dancing with my date, the sound was absolutely impeccable (extremely clean, no reverb). Also, in regards to the aesthetics, it's just beautiful on the inside. The exposed brick wall, raised ceilings, and high glossed floors really make this place feel modern but with a tasteful nod to the turn-of-the-century building it resides in. As far as the vibe at Aisle 5, they're offering something really unique and cool to our City. It's intimate enough to where you can talk to your friends and meet new ones, but large enough to get a good sized party going. Furthermore, after talking with one of the owners about the artists they're currently booking, 2015 sounds like it's going to be an awesome year for this place. Keep your eyes peeled for the announcements on upcoming acts, they're impressive. Also, one of the other details worth discussing is the new bar that they've installed. It fits perfectly with the style of the venue with custom cut stone pieces laid intricately into the bar top and sealed with a clear coat (very handsome). Furthermore, the beer selection appears to be hand-picked to ensure that they have a very thoughtful and balanced collection of high quality offerings (as far as liquor, they offer top shelf if you so desire. I enjoyed their take on an Old Fashioned with a hearty pour of Bulleit). Finally, all the employees I interacted with from bartenders to bouncers were genuinely friendly and happy to be there. For me, this was the icing on the cake. I feel that Atlanta has found itself blessed with a beautifully recreated venue in one of our most historic and vibrant neighborhoods. This place just keeps getting better and better. Ever since its opening last year, Aisle 5 continues upping the ante. The sound system is great and the awesome lighting adds to the vibes. The friendly staff and quick bar service at Aisle 5 are a huge plus. A great place to go with friends. I love the character of the place, from the slate-topped bar to the brick-exposed walls to the cool wall lighting to the stained concrete floor. As you enter into the venue space from the front, you'll notice an interesting wall on the left that frames the stage. Is it my imagination, or is the wall shaped like a 5? Clever. Aisle 5 is a great addition to L5P and the city of Atlanta. Great place for music lovers. I've been there several times and always enjoyed the experience. read more

I visit Aisle 5 atleast once a month, usually for The Formula ATL showcase. Every time I am pleased with the venue. The bar has a big selection of craft beers that are very tasty and the bartenders are very nice and quick. The sound system is always on point and the lights are always the best. I'm not a huge fan of this venue. It's a weird set up. It doesn't feel like you're at a music venue, in my opinion. The back half of it just feels like a regular bar. Also you can't bring your drinks outside which is pretty annoying if you're with someone who smokes. Friendly staff and reasonably priced shows, but def not my fave music venue. read more

Been here a few times, most recently for The Whigs and I can't say enough good things about this place. Door staff is so friendly, unlike a lot of other places in Atlanta. The bartenders are fast and friendly as well and they've got a killer craft beer collection. Sound and lights are on point too, really bringing the music to another level in the space. Parking hasn't been an issue here since they have the huge lot adjacent to the building. Aisle 5 is definitely the type of small, intimate venue Atlanta's been needing. It's not a dive but not overly pristine either, just a great place with a good vibe to hear good music. Slowly becoming my favorite music venue in the city! read more

Okay little venue for lower tier events. Like the atmosphere. I've gone here for years and met some cool people.

Visited for lunch on a Sunday along with drinks on a Thursday. For lunch tried the chicken cheese steak (were out of chicken burger at the time) with fries. Nice flavor to the grilled chicken and additional heat with the jalapenos but roll was a bit overwhelming vs amount of filling. Fries were excellent and well seasoned. Aisle 5 Burger with cheese was a well done burger, juicy, required lots of napkins as a burger should. Menu looks like it would be great for a larger party to share items and sample craft beers. Thursday drinks: good variety of high/low tables and bar seating, creating a few options for atmospheres. Just 2 so choose a quiet table in the front but still had a view of the Warriors on 2 different screens. Sampled some nice craft beers and ciders on both occasions, particularly the ghost town IPA read more

Came to Aisle 5 for the first time to see Verite play. Located in Little 5 Points this new music venue is a breath of fresh air. The inside is fairly small which creates an intimate experience. Bar is located at the back along with the bathrooms (which are super clean). A few tables and bar stools line the side of standing isn't your thing and you just want to have a drink, talk, and enjoy the show. Very impressed with my visit here, and I will hopefully be back very soon! read more

For the type of venue Aisle 5 is, you kinda can't mess this up. Lol. It's one space.....a wide open floor (except for the chairs/ledge on the side), a stage in the front, and a bar as well as bathrooms in the back. Come see one of your favorite musicians perform, get drunk, have a good time, go home....It is what it is. Lol. The sound is pretty good. As far as the size of the venue, I'd say it has a good 300 person capacity. So if you're an artist with a loyal following around that number, this is a good place for a show. Parking spaces are on the backside and the night I went (a Monday), it was only $3. The bartenders were cool, fast, and efficient. I enjoyed myself. read more

Although the venue itself was great, I would seriously probably never go to another concert there due to many, many reasons. First, they are impossible to reach. We had tickets to a Meet & Greet and tried calling, FB messaging and emailing to get info on times and never heard back or had any luck reaching anyone at any hour. Their VM was full for weeks. Second, on their website it says free parking next to the site. When we got there for the Meet & Greet we had to pay for parking and found out the free parking does not start until 9:00 pm. Third, on their website it lists food for sale. When we inquired about food, they said they didn't serve any. And last we were there for a meet & greet. The doors were supposed to open at 7:00 but didn't until 7:30. Got in, had the sound check and photo opportunity and then they kicked everyone out and we had to go back outside and stand in line in the cold to get back in. Not only that but they didn't even tell folks that there was a separate line to get back in for the Meet & Greet, so we ended up getting back in behind lots of folks. This was our first Meet & Greet we did and in talking to many others in line they said they had NEVER had a meet & Greet where they kicked you out and made you go back outside and stand back in line. Just really left a very sour taste in my mouth. Would not venture back. read more

My so went to aisle 5 on Tuesday night with a few of his friends to see Ms Jenkins. He rsvp on the site to make sure he had a place at the concert. Needless to say when he arrived he and his friends was told they weren't on the list. When my son asked could he see the list security was called over and they told him his kind wasn't welcomed. My son is black and this shook him up and he called me in tears after the encounter and I had to settle him down. This was awful and if this is the kind of place that does this sort of thing they should be closed and I am hoping I get a chance to talk with their ownership. read more
