I was living in my demolished house after another contractor abandoned the job taking a large amount of money with him. The house was barely inhabitable. After retaining a legal team, the house became a forensic site for multiple inspections and documentation by damage experts. Fortunately, I found Shannon on Houzz. She was so brave to accept my project and to aid me in fixing the damage, completing the project, and then to submit all documentation required by my legal team. This was far and above what any contractor should be asked to do. My project was extremely complicated because so much shoddy work was discovered on deconstruction which was not anticipated. She handled everything efficiently and systematically while working closely with me as the client to assure that I was getting the results I wanted. I did! I appreciated her allowing me to be a partner in the project. I am beyond delighted with my finished project and Aisling Designs. Shannon is THE BEST! We've had multiple renovations done on a half-dozen homes, and Aisling Designs is the best experience we've ever had. We brought Aisling in for the construction of a built-in bookshelf, which seemed like it was going to be a relatively straight-forward job. Well, the most revealing situations occur in crisis... and through multiple complications arose with the project - serious enough to delay completion for months - Shannon handled them with aplomb. While she wasn't responsible for any of the conflicts, she MADE herself responsible -- she stepped up to the plate, assuming full responsibility for the subcontractors' failings, never blaming anyone or anything else. This is an extraordinary and rare quality, as anyone with experience with contractors will know. Shannon has a wonderful eye, an ebullient spirit, and is a champion manager. We'd recommend her and Aisling Designs to anyone for anything! read more

My experience working with Shannon at Aisling Designs on my recent home remodeling design project was very disappointing for many reasons. I signed my contract choosing the package price option, not realizing I would only be able to speak with her during our infrequent scheduled zoom calls. She did not do the precise measurement floor plan as per the contract, but charged me for it. Her renderings had some design ideas that were unclear or unworkable. For example, the contractor who required me to work with Shannon said he would not be able to implement her design for the master bath.   She didn't provide physical samples and in some cases picked items for my project that did not work or were not per the specs.  For example, she selected a different type of flooring than specified, without advising me of the change.  When I did not like any of her very limited design options (such as a dining room chandelier that would have been wider than my dining room table), she was hesitant to find new choices. I ended up partially or fully redoing things that were never done or done in a way that didn't work in my space.  Overall, I was very dissatisfied with my experience. I feel it was incredibly expensive for the value I received. read more
