No mention of a broken part. We tore out our old countertops and sink, making our kitchen unusable. At 1:45 we get a call of a cut arm and since this person drives the truck they can't show up. This place does not communicate the lies they tell the client. Mind you a customer who has paid. You don't think people know you are lying, but they do. I'm a caregiver for my severely disabled son and infant granddaughter. I have to have a working kitchen. I don't care if you can't come until two weeks. But you don't tell a customer you are coming if you are not. If they don't show up tomorrow we will cancel. So I hope to be able to up my rating. Stay tuned.

I highly recommend going to look at the slabs so yuh can see the wife degree of styles, movement and color tones even within the same type of stone. I worked with Kira. She was friendly and very helpful in explaining different types of finishes and care. Lily at the front desk is cheerful and goes out of her way to make you feel comfortable. I suggest calling to make sure someone is available to go in the show room with you as customers are not allowed alone. Closed toed shoes work best but not necessary. This is a working warehouse so be prepared for dust and forklifts. Be sure to take a sample of your choice home with you. Samples are free and work great to pick other coordinating items in your projects. Also view the cut edge styles to really get a great idea of the perfect style. When the measurer came to my house he was excellent!! He took his time to help me make overhand decisions and offered terrific ideas. I appreciated his honesty and knowledge base. I built the foundation for an outdoor countertop and upon installation, the install team noticed that the ground had caused the top to not be level without a noticeable amount of filler. The install team allowed me the weekend to purchase more stone for my foundation and then came back Monday to cut the stone and fix the problem that I had overlooked. They went above and beyond what I have come to expect from companies today and I could not be more grateful!

Kendra denied they did anything wrong even with my video proof. The installer also made a tremendous mess cutting stone on the new deck. They came back out after I reported the mess. The same installer sprayed some water with my garden hose but the mess remained. I ended up cleaning it off. Poor craftsmanship and no pride in their work whatsoever. I gave Performance Stoneworks all summer to fix the scratches. No repairs made, only threats of legal action if the balance wasn't paid. The balance has been paid but I cannot give this company my business in the future. Very disappointing. Jeff, who came out to do the template, refused to take any responsibility or even offer an apology for the inferior performance of the team. A sign of the times with this company. Better companies out there. FYI, 19 of the 22 reviews on Facebook are over 6 years old, sadly they are no longer the same company.

Dave came over the next day...looked at everything...made appropriate cooing noises....and said "yup...there is an app for that !" ....shocker of all shockers....he actually shot me an estimate later that day...in other words he exceeded what he said he would do...must be something wrong with him ?? The estimate was less than I expected...and..he showed up the next day to pick up the items....and....get this....ON TIME ! definitely something wrong with him....really....what contractor shows up on time ?? most have graduated summa cum laude from the Comcast school of rank non-professionalism. He is also going to build some custom cabinets to show off my beer coaster and matchbook collection. If ya need any restoration...refinishing...custom cabinets...give ol' Dave a shot at earning your business ! ....and...ladies...he is single...and a spittin' image of Ernest Borgnine !

In short, this man took my $2000 deposit, and over nearly two years (pre-COVID), failed to complete a single task in the contract. I asked for my money back and sent a demand letter. Dave gave excuses such as other jobs running over, personal injuries/limitations, family health issues, etc. He complained about how many times he had to come to my house to talk about the plans. While I admit that I did have an evolving vision that sometimes needed a face to face discussion, most of his trips were for his benefit, not mine (e.g., had to re-measure several times and even asked me to take measures to send). He stated that his right to keep the deposit was based on work already done. I never saw anything done. He also tried to withhold some of my items as "collateral" and in legal terms, that's called theft. I eventually had to make a trip to his workshop to pick up my property. I cannot speak to the quality of Dave's work, but I can share with you that he took advantage of someone in a state of grieving. I felt bad for each of his reasons as to why he couldn't finish the project because I was in a fragile state. In hindsight, I was manipulated. Dave may respond to this with unsubstantiated excuses. Near the end of my correspondence wit Dave, he sent me a final invoice that was $4000 over my quoted price stating that the job had caused him extra work and travel that was not anticipate. Again, I share with you that he NEVER DID ANYTHING in my house. Please choose a different carpenter to save yourself some time and money, and some very likely heartache.
