My mom and I ate here on a Friday night before a football game. It was excellent! We got the Greek Salad and shared a 10" Moon Doggie pizza. Super fresh ingredients and a perfectly cooked crust! All of their dressings are freshly made and have great interesting flavors. This place is not that big but the service was excellent and very friendly. Super clean and a cool, laid back local vibe. I might even drive the hour and a half from my house to eat here again! Also they played great classic rock music and some oldies tunes that set the mood for a good meal. GO EAT HERE!! This place is EXCELLENT! The salad pizza was so good, I ate the whole thing...and it definitely feeds two people easily. Went back and had a lunch special - salad and one pizza slice combo. I loved the homemade salad dressing and the eggplant makes a great one topping for the one slice. Apparently they can only cook 2 at a time. The scene and space is pretty drab -- poor decorating and cheap furniture. Not a great place to kill an hour. All this for a burned pizza. Can't go wrong! This is easily the best pizza south of the ATL and north of Tallahassee. The white pizza is to die for, but all of them are outstanding. Good selection of craft beers to wash it down with. I only wish they delivered. The location is small, loud and usually crammed with families. Food is delicious and the "baby" calzone is not actually a "baby"....it was enough for lunch and dinner. I went twice, the first time, with co workers and service was great and fast. There was a long line, which was understandable because it was a Saturday afternoon, but once we got up to the counter, my boyfriend and I felt as if the employee, Rob, was doing everything in his power to avoid taking our order. Never have had a bad meal here. What makes this place so unique IMO is the sourdough they use for the base of the pizza. Always comes out crispy and a unique taste. I was super excited to check it out, unfortunately was a big let down, we order something simple a pasta, a salad, some wings and a pizza they took our order just after 10 minutes, I taught we were set for a great start, wrong! After an hour and 22 minutes I ask for the check of a beer that was the only thing I got, no apologies, no explanation, and must of all no manager around to talk to, I hope y'all experience gets better than mine! read more

I've eaten at Moonspin SEVERAL times over the past couple of months and I just love it. My husband and I split the Mediterranean salad and the calzone. The calzone is fabulous!!!!! Make sure to order a cup of the Parmesan Garlic Butter dipping sauce. I literally am willing to undergo the triple bypass surgery it'll induce (straight butter y'all) because it's just THAT good when you dip you crust in it. The new owners have kept the menu and are actually more attentive and hands on than the last owners (although they were pretty cool too). Fantastic pizza and great service! Arrived at 6:15 on a Saturday night and only waited about 10 minutes to be seated. We were very impressed with the teamwork of the staff clearing tables and constantly checking for needed refills. Calzones were huge! Enjoyed watching the pizza maker throw the dough. What a wonderful, inviting place. We showed up 15 minutes before closing lunchtime and they still seemed happy to see us. Food was amazing and after talking with Josh, one of the owners, we understood why. He told us he makes all the sauces, uses all local produce, makes his own dough daily and uses a particular cheese combination that keeps the pizza from oozing fat. The dough is crisp and very yummy. Salad was real greens (not packaged iceberg) and my husband ' small' calzone was anything but and was heavenly - so light and not doughy. It's a great place to eat that's healthy and delicious! I enjoyed moonspin. I ordered a 10 inch "Full Moon" pizza and had a few beers. The toppings were fresh. They had a huge selection of toppings. The crust had an incredible taste but was very soggy in the middle. There was a puddle of liquid in the middle of the pan. Overall I liked the pizza but would have preferred the crust be cooked in the middle or whatever it would take to make it not so flimsy. I would go back. read more
