Best pizza in Thomasville and all the surrounding area that I've tried. Also some of the best wings, lots of sauces to choose from and they are just so juicy and delicious. Their mozzarella sticks are really good as well, I can't be sure but they definitely don't look like the generic frozen ones you get everywhere else so I think they actually make these in the store. Okay, I lived in Chicago and have experienced some of the best pizza around. There are also other good places for pizza, but not like Chicago (or NY). That said, I really enjoyed Moonspin. I had the Howlin' at the Moon pizza and it was solid. Slightly sweet in the sauce, but plenty of spice too. It has also a very good sour dough bread/crust. I especially enjoyed dipping my crust into their house made pesto (you have to ask for it). My wife had the baked spaghetti squash and was very pleased with that as well. We split a salad which was also solid and the dressing, a lemon vinaigrette was light and flavorful. Service was friendly, quick, and helpful as we decided on what to order. So, in conclusion, this was better pizza than I was expecting, but still not Chicago or NYC, but I wasn't expecting to be so. Instead, I would put it up there with the likes of Mellow Mushroom, although it is much smaller, if you like that sort of pizza and I do. You can get their specialty pizzas, create one of your own, or get something completely different. They also have a gluten-free crust, but I didn't try that. They should have something for most people though. If you are looking for a clear step up from the chain pizzas in Thomasville, I definitely recommend Moonspin. read more

One of the best pizzas I've ever had Great pizza starts with great crust. At AJ Moonspin, the crust is amazing. It is light & fluffy inside a perfectly chewy-crispy skin. The next layer is a beautiful sauce which has nice tomato flavor (and does not overpower the pie). Lastly we had good cheese & meats. In the future, I plan to have a less busy pie so I can revel in symphony of a simpler pie. If you like pizza, Moonspin will be time and a drive well spent. Excellent service, food and atmosphere. The pasta options were diverse, and the pecan ziti with pesto and cream sauce I ordered was unique - easily lenticular enough for 2 servings. My husband's calzone was gigantic and satisfying. He took home half for the next day. Another time we opted for one of the lunch special, consisting of a 10" pizza with two drinks was incredibly affordable at $14. We even divided what we wanted in each side. The employees actually seem happy to be there, which is shocking lately. We will continue visiting AJ Moonspin any time we are in Thomasville. read more

We were visiting the area and found this place! What a fantastic pizza place! We are from Atlanta and go to lots of great pizza places but this pizza was the best! Loved the light crust and cheese and great Greek salad! The best thing about the place was the staff! Never been anywhere that everyone was working together and serving, keeping everyone happy! We sat on the patio as the inside wasn't open due to the coronavirus. The lemon pepper boneless wings are amazing. Probably in the top 5 of best wings I've ever had. They have quite a few gluten free options for pizzas. The regular pizza dough is sourdough and delicious. They have quite a few beers on tap and they make one really really good sangria. I love and hate this place. The food is great, the pizza is great, the service is great. However, there is no consistency and there are so many cooks in the kitchen You never know what you will get since it just depends who makes it. We order the same pizza all the time, I think it's matched the menu a couple times. Every other time it comes out as something else. However it's still good. I just think the owners or managers need to steer the ship better. If it wasn't the only place in town to get good pizza it would have been out of business. Perhaps I caught this place on a bad night. I went there for pizza but thought the sound of homemade pasta and cracked pepper alfredo sounded wonderful. It was NOT! I tasted zero pepper, what tasted like alfredo from a jar off a grocery shelf, and pasta that was so mushy, it was almost inedible. The focaccia bread was a 1" slice that was toasted so hard, and tasted so old, it was intolerable. The salad was a mixed bag from the grocery store that appeared to be out of the day-old stuff. The croutons were 1/2" rock hard blocks that came straight out of a bag or can from the grocery. I asked for garlic bread hoping to drown the horrible taste of the pasta, to only be told I had to buy 10-12 and they couldn't sell less. Disappointing since I was alone and they knew I was not happy with the food. So, I would have to give it the following today: Poor quality food, poor quality service, and frankly a really messy interior. Clean the place.... Oh yes, the wine tasted like it had been open for a month. read more

I love this place for their pizza. It's the best in the area and it's not really close. They also have a good selection of draft beers and what goes better with pizza than a good cold beer. Last time we were there they even had togo draft beer by the gallon which is a great option with all the Covid restraints that are in place. Went in for lunch we were excited to try this place. The good was ok at best I heard a server talking badly about a coworker to some other coworkers who were sitting at a table near us. I find it so rude to air dirty laundry to the public especially when the best part of our service was handled by the young man they were speaking poorly about. I was a server for a long time and I don't do rude in front of the customer that's how you keep your doors open. Disappointed to say the least. read more
