I visited this barbershop a few weeks ago on a weekend, and unfortunately it wasn't a great experience. There appeared to be a language barrier, making it difficult to communicate what I wanted. Before the haircut started, I was asked to choose between different styles for the back of my haircut, but the interaction felt rushed and abrupt. The haircut itself took less than 10 minutes because there were other customers waiting. During the appointment, I was repeatedly told that my hair couldn't be cut shorter because I was balding, which I found unnecessary and uncomfortable. At the end of the appointment, I felt pressured to leave a tip, which made the experience even less pleasant. The haircut was $20, and I've had much better experiences at other barbers charging the same price, where they took the time to communicate, paid attention to the details, and never made me feel rushed. To be fair, I also had my hair cut here previously by Joanne, and she did a great job. She took her time, the haircut turned out well, and I left happy with the result. The only thing that caught me off guard was being told I should bring cash next time because I had paid using Zelle. While I understand a business may prefer cash, it came across as more of an expectation than a simple request. Overall, my experience seems to depend on who cuts your hair. For me, it wasn't about the $20 price--it was about the quality of the service. I liked Annette but since she moved I have no reason to come here. Others are rude and don't listen when you request your hair cut a certain way, was given attitude multiple times and left unsatisfied for the last time. Poor communication. Avoid the place there are better. read more

I have been going here for years and Joanne is the barber I use. She does a great job and is the only one I use. She doesn't charge me much but she makes up for it in the tip. The only negative is I can't use my credit card but that's because I never carry cash. I recommend this place and her. read more

So just got back from AJ's don't think I'll be back. I went with my elderly mom we each got a cut . We're getting done Joanne the owner said it was $30 that's $15 each. I said no We're paying separately I pay for mine . Well my mom misunderstood but told Joann take $5 for you as a tip well my mom ended up paying her $ 30 so Joanne ended up with a $15 tip . My son got his haircut there today, and it was the worst haircut he has ever received. . I'm not sure what happened. My son is 16 years old, communicates pretty clearly and yet this woman didn't even cut his hair straight on both sides. Be careful!!!!!! Waited for more than half an hour while Joanne worked on one mans head. Consistently took multiple breaks and conversed more than she cut. When she was finally done w the customer a man came in and let him cut two other customers that were patiently waiting for a haircut. Very unprofessional. Husbands experience: While she was cutting my husbands hair she was eating her breakfast. I took him more than an hour to get a simple trim. Also, he had to come home and fix what she did! I went in to get my hair trimmed on Sunday, big mistake. I've had a previous haircut at AJ pros which was good, I believe it was the owner as there were pictures of her on the wall. However my experience on Sunday was anything but that. The barber? had a hard time understanding me, that said, I told her to use number 4 clipper settings on the side and trim the top. She gave me a flat top like I had when I was in the military. I have a wedding to go to at the end of May, if I had this haircut closer to the wedding and pictures this would definitely be a more formal complaint. To add insult to injury is that the barber? pressed the clippers very hard on my head? So much so that she cut me a few times, I believe the owners of AJ Pros need to seriously consider getting some more training for this person before letting her ruin anyone else's hair. read more

Cheap, filthy place I will never return to. Despite not being able to communicate well in English, the barber was rude and did not cut my son's hair as I instructed. Four people got haircuts before my son got on the chair and not once did the barber sweep up the growing mounds of hair piling on the floor. If you're looking for a cheap haircut and don't care about hygiene, then this is your place.
