Me and my coworkers work for an inventory company for all of Walmarts. We have a specific contract…read morefor our cars to be parked at the Walmart on Hillsborough ave in East Tampa which is our designated "meet spot" for us to travel. We have been doing this for THREE YEARS and have never had any issues with us having our cars towed. After coming down from Perry, which is four hours away after a 10 hour shift we pulled into the Walmart and FIVE of our cars were gone. After speaking with a cop and managers from the walmart, they had no clue what happened to them. Mentioned that they could've been "stolen". When we finally found out where our cars were we called them twice to ask about what information was needed and how much was it for each car. The lady on the phone said $270 during the first call with them. We called them again and they said they upped the price to over $300. Then we asked if we could pay with a company card for everyone's car. They said it was fine as long as the owner of the card was with us to pay. We headed over there and they changed it to they wanted cash or everyone's individual card. As we asked more questions, they kept speaking to each other in Spanish and things just kept changing over and over again. Hispanics like these people are the ones who make the community look bad. They were money grabbing at this point. Someone also mentioned they had guns on them as well. This place wasn't professional at all. They even threatened to keep our cars for another day and charge us more even though we were ready to pay. It took us 3 hours to obtain all of our vehicles. We asked them who called them to tow our cars and they said they couldn't disclose that information. Then they said that no one called them and that they walked into the Walmart and asked if anyone knew about our vehicles and everyone said they didn't so they took them. They took our vehicles at 2 in the morning. It is not possible for anyone to walk into a walmart at 2 in the morning and we would know because we work for Walmart. The story didn't make sense and at that point they did steal our vehicles. They said they had a contract with walmart but so did we. We come from a bigger company and our contract is going to mean a lot more than theirs and I do hope that these people lose their business. You guys are an absolute disgrace to humanity. I made sure to take videos and pictures of everything and the entire conversations. I suggest everyone do the same when dealing with these people. There is no reason for you guys to be speaking Spanish when we all clearly speak english. I hope you guys go back to wherever y'all came from. Everything they did was illegal. Don't let nobody with a piercing on his face steal your car. Sweet ahh boy trying to fight a boy with autism. To the lady who was speaking with us over the phone, you're a sad excuse of a woman and a whole disappointment. This was devastating for everyone involved.
