I am so grateful for this Mavis Tires and Breaks location…read more I woke up this morning to get ready to run errands, and when I stepped outside, I found my back right tire flat. Fortunately, after putting air in the tires to get me to their location, I called to check if my size tire was in stock, and it was. Another thing to be thankful for is that, instead of buying a whole new tire, I was able to get a repair for a small puncture. Needless to say, when it is time to replace my tires, guess where I'm going??? Mavis Tires and Breaks on Lithia Pinecrest Rd. I'm grateful this happened on a Sunday, not a Monday, so that I could be present for my workweek. Thank you again, Mavis.

I drove 20 miles from USF on a completely flat tire -- stopping multiple times to re-inflate with a portable inflator just to get here safely. My original Saturday appointment was canceled due to their "system issues," so I had to reschedule to Sunday. After a stressful, dangerous drive through traffic on a failing tire, I arrived at 4:15 -- just 15 minutes past my 4:00 appointment. They got my car up on the ramp and began work. While waiting, I stepped toward a nearby bakery and casually took a photo of my own car on the ramp -- a personal snapshot of the ordeal I'd been through. Within seconds, a staff member called me inside and spoke to me in an aggressive, demeaning tone, saying they "weren't okay" with me taking pictures. I calmly explained I had no idea about any such policy and immediately offered to delete the photo. That should have been the end of it. Instead, he continued making derogatory remarks, talked over me, and refused to hear me out. He then told me they were pulling my car off the ramp and I could leave. Let that sink in -- they left a customer stranded with a flat tire in the middle of a storm over an unknowing, harmless photo of their own vehicle. No signage about a photo policy. No polite request. Just hostility and humiliation from start to finish. Everything about this situation could have been resolved with a single respectful sentence. I would have happily complied. Instead, this staff member chose intimidation over basic professionalism. I urge anyone considering this location to think carefully. If this is how they treat a paying customer who followed their own service team's directions to get here, imagine how little they value your time, safety, or dignity.

I had ordered a Continental run-flat tire by phone the day before and was told it would be available Monday. At noon, Shelby, the manager, said it had not arrived and promised to call when it did. When she called around 3 p.m., I asked whether the tire could be installed quickly if I came in. She said yes. I arrived around 3:40 p.m. and was told it would be about an hour. I asked Shelby whether making an appointment would be a better option. An employee named Ryan interjected and began shouting, "This isn't Chick-fil-A." He said the tire could not be done instantly and that an appointment would take the same amount of time. I explained that at my previous Tire Kingdom visit in April, I had made an appointment and the tire service was completed in under 20 minutes. I then sat down and asked Shelby whether she understood my question. She said yes. Ryan again yelled, at the top of his lungs, "This isn't Chick-fil-A," and repeated that it would take the same amount of time. He appeared angry, and I felt very uncomfortable. He then went through a door marked for employees only and slammed it so forcefully that the television and wall display panels shook. Shelby deserves credit. She was wonderful, personable, and professional throughout, and maintained her professional charm in an uncomfortable situation. She explained that the store had been experiencing computer problems and that Ryan was having a rough day. She encouraged me not to take it personally and seemed to be trying to reassure me that this was not typical behavior for him. I appreciated her efforts. I understand that delays and difficult days happen. Customers should still be able to ask about scheduling without being shouted at. Because his comments were directed at me, it was difficult not to take the interaction personally. I would like corporate management to review any available surveillance footage and address Ryan's conduct. Shelby's excellent customer service should also be recognized.
