I was stranded on the side of the interstate with my truck and called the company at 8:10 pm, was quoted $120 for an 8 mile tow back home. I was told I would get contacted by the driver with their ETA but didn't get contacted until 9:08 pm. The driver gave me an ETA of an hour to an hour and a half. The driver arrived at 9:50 pm. Getting the truck ready, the driver notices the wheel is off and says that it's an extra $125 fee... $50? Fine but $125? For what exactly? I offered to put the wheel back on to avoid the fee and the driver said it wouldn't hold up. The fee was not negociable and some how cost more than the tow itself. All the driver did was improvise and tie the strap to the frame of the truck... which apparently costs an extra $125. So $245 for an 8 mile tow with a small additional effort of tying a knot around a frame. I understand additional fees for inconvenience or work arounds but the driver did not have to do anything differently than he would have had the wheel been on and the company being unwilling to work with someone that had already waited almost an hour to be towed, being in a sticky and quite expensive situation with their car trouble, by at least compromising with the fee left a bad taste in my mouth. The company came off as greedy and inconsiderate to their customer, the fee was 100% unreasonable and so were they. Driver does come within 30 minutes for the pickup, and implies he's going to take my car straight to the dealership - but instead disappears for 3 hours while I'm waiting at the dealership for my car to arrive. Luckily I was able to keep busy by calling to cancel all my doctor appointments and apologizing to my family for missing after school pick up. Driver did not contact me and office dispatch kept giving me the run-around...ultimately hanging up on me and sending me to voicemail instead of actually dealing with the problem and explaining to me where my property was. This was a AAA tow service. To begin with they were over an hour late. When they arrived, they blamed it on a previous tow that slowed them up. In addition, they had a car on the flat bed hauler so my car was hoisted on the back. Then, to my surprise, I received a toll enforcement invoice in the mail for use of the toll road on the day of the tow. Two problems, 1-the toll road is not between me and the repair shop, 2-the invoice was for 4 axles which means I was charged for the entire tow, to include the tow truck. The toll enforcement picked up the tag they could see since it was blocking the tow truck. $10.93 which is not the point! The point is that the tow driver did not take my vehicle direct and how many times does this company do this to avoid paying tolls? read more

My husbands 1986 k5 blazer that we were in the middle of restoring (we're in the middle of moving it to another shop) was picked up by Alfredo's towing 2/14 On the way to my home, the driver ran over a tree stump and the truck fell off of the flat bed. My car had some electrical problem and was bascially dead. No way to get it started to move it out of the garage and taken to LandRover. Alfredo Towing was called by Landrover Roadside Support on my behalf and I got a quick call from Victor who promised to be at my house within 30 minutes. I was impressed because AAA was going to be more than an hour. Victor showed up as promised and was awesome. Extremely nice and made me very comfortable with the situation. He was able to get the care started and moved so it was possible to go on the flatbed. My daughter went to a wine tasting event and was pulled over by a hills county sheriff. Alfredo's towing was called to tow her car do the sheriff accusing her of DUI when she had 3 glasses of wine over a 2 yr period. So I called Alfredo's to recover my car in the following day which was Saturday. I was informed that they were closed until Jan 1st which was 4 days later. I assumed that because it was not available for pick up that I would not be charged for storage. But when my wife and I went to pick it up they said that will be $465 dollars. Towed the car less than 3 miles and was a simple compact Mazda 3. So very light weight. I wouldn't use this company for any of your towing needs. They are crooks and prey on people's misfortune. Dispatch was horrible lacked communication. Young girl lacked basic proper communication skills. The owner claim 30 minutes on their pick up time here on Yelp They will purposely delay your service without communicating. I don't think it was the owner himself but the workers that showed up for my tow were extremely rude after being almost 3 hours late And they refused to tow due to some miscommunication on their end on what was actually needed to tow my lifted Jeep. Alfredo's team called me 10 minutes after picking up the job and had someone picking up my car about half an hour later. This company took care of me in under 40 minutes from beginning to end. My insurance company called them at 10 AM to get a tow truck to my home. It's now 3:31 PM. I called Alfredo to find out what was going on. They were extremely rude; they just said "that was cancelled, call your insurance company". My insurance company just tried to find out what happened. Apparently ALFREDO took it upon themselves to cancel this on their own and NEVER told anyone at the insurance company. What a waste of a day over something so stupid. No communication, no customer service. UPDATE: got a private message from these guys, trying to blame the insurance company, because they had "notified them". Uh-uh. My insurance company is USAA. They have been nothing short of awesome in 40 years. If they had been notified, USAA would have been on it immediately. The other tow truck company that they scrambled to get, Tow Pros, was extremely pleasant and professional. They got right on this. The driver was awesome. He explained to me than many shady companies do this because they pay their drivers on commission. My experience with Alfredo Towing was horrible. I was left waiting for 5 hours! It wasn't until 2am when they finally showed up. There was absolutely no communication from them about the dispatch delays. I only got an update when I called each time they missed their latest promised ETA. And every time they assured me someone was on their way and only 20 min out. And each time that turned out to be a lie. I was left with the impression that they wouldn't have even ever shown up at all if I hadn't kept calling them. This is the worst towing company ever!!!!! They are highly unorganized. They do not retake responsibilities for their actions when they're wrong. They give you a times and when they're not on time, they keep giving you different times not holding anyone responsible. My car was stopped at a stoplight and a tow truck hit me from behind. I tried to get insurance information from them and had to get an attorney to find out that Alfredo Towing Service does not have insurance. I got a quote for almost $10,000 of damage and sent it to them. I have now been calling, emailing, leaving messages and can't get them to respond to me. We hired Alfredo Towing to move it from one location to another on 14 February 2020. The driver failed to properly secure the K5 and we are now left with a mess after it fell off the flatbed. The driver immediately said, "it's not his fault" and refused to accept responsibility. After an hour of pulling it out of the Ditch on its roof, the driver pulls it to the center of my driveway and leaves it upside down. Alfredo Towing Company is absolutely atrocious. When I called I was guaranteed 30 min, Yari told me that the driver was going to get to me in 15min. Got a call from the driver then telling me that he was told he needs to move a different car and there was another tow truck closer to me. After calling the company twice to get an update on the new driver Yari sent us to voicemail twice. The new driver called and stated that he was 30 min away; also meaning the guarantee of 30 min was untrue but i am now sitting on the side of road for an hour and 15 min. When Yari called back giving me an update she lowered the price by $5 for the inconvenience. I asked to speak to management and was told he wasn't available but she could call for me? Makes sense. The 4 driver called to tell me he was 49 minutes away and wanted to know if I still wanted him to tow my car. I advised him no that I will contact AAA for a tow. They then had dispatch call to see why I canceled and she proceeded to tell me how terrible their automated system is and how it assigns tows to drivers on there day off. And that's what kept happening to me. Needless to say I didn't end up using there service because they are incapable of showing up. You're better off walking then calling this company. read more

We recently had a tire blow out in Sarasota and called AAA. For some reason they called Alfredo's Towing to come down, all the way from Tampa. Boy, were we glad they did. The driver, Nick, was courteous, friendly, and professional and the truck was extraordinarily clean. He towed our vehicle (and us with him) to Costco, about 5 miles away. $321for 7 miles....I wish I could give them 0 stars! DO NOT USE THEM UNLESS YOU WANT THEM TO HOLD YOUR CAR HOSTAGE! AAA sent them to me and they neglected to tell me there would be an overage fee of $46. I told them I wouldn't pay until I contacted AAA to confirm. They said "so you are refusing to pay". I said, "yes" until I confirm with AAA. It took me a half hour to get through to AAA. They confirmed that there would a 7 mile overage charge. When I called the tow company back they said that since I refused to pay, they had towed my car to the impound lot so now it would cost me $321 and that if I didn't pay it, they would impound and I would have to pay impound fees and they threaten to take my car to Georgia. I paid by credit card, because I felt at this point I had no other choice, and confirmed that the transaction had gone through. They sent me a receipt. I then got a call from someone identifying themselves as a supervisor telling me that I would have to provide a copy of my drivers license to them or else they could not except the credit card charge. I explained that the credit card charge had gone through already and they said they could not accept it and that I would have to pay cash. I had to leave work and go meet the tow truck driver at the original location he was supposed to drop my car. They refunded the credit card charge and I had to pay $321 cash. In the meantime I had called AAA and AAA was embarrassed by their behavior and told me they would refund me because of the unprofessional nature. Called AAA for tow call and Alfredo towing took the call saying 45 minute time, then added 35 minutes, then said another 40 minutes, then driver called and said 35 more minutes, then dispatch called and said 25 more minutes and when I asked for manager she said there isn't one and she can't do anything and hung up. I called dispatch back when that time had passed too and was told another 15 minutes. Driver showed after 3&1/2 hours waiting with five different times given. I had left the 1 star rating already so Alfredo company called me and asked why. I explained all this and he said to "call AAA back and tell them you want to wait another 3hrs for someone else because we won't be taking your car." I said he was unprofessional and would lose business because I was reporting it to AAA and he said "no I won't because I don't need business or bad reviews from stupid people like you", and hung up.
