My students took the SAT this Saturday, and they all agreed about one point: the tutoring they received -- through Matthew Downhour of AJ Tutoring -- helped them feel prepared and confident. We used AJ for ISEE prep for our 5th grade son and we were very disappointed. The tutor was a fresh college grad who didn't know the particulars of the test very well. They just followed a binder without doing anything special for our son. It seems that everyone does mostly the same amount of meetings regardless. They are so highly rated here I didn't worry about it like I should have, but my son did not improve at all from the first test and now we're stuck. I can't speak to their academic tutors, and I should say our tutor was perfectly friendly, but avoid them for test prep. read more

My son took Hon. Chem in his Junior Year and he is taking AP Chem this year. He needed to take the SAT Subject Test in Chemistry in October for his college application.
