Then....I meet Nurse Adeline! Nurse Adeline explained every piece of equipment and shared the medicines he was being given. She helped shift my Brother up in bed, helped the patient outside his room, and shut the door to ER area C that wasn't closed.... all in about 3-5 minutes. She was friendly, helpful, and observant! I'm happy he is being cared for by her and the other staff I met this morning in his room! Keep doing a great job hiring great people!!

I asked for a cervical spine MRI; he wrote the Rx incorrectly and the lab would not perform the procedure. He wrote 2 other prescriptions incorrectly and I was not able to get them filled. So I decided to find another primary physician and I asked for a copy of my records. I was SHOCKED to read in his notes that he had written that I had a mental issue which was causing my headaches. He had seen me all of 2 times for a total of about 20 minutes - there is no way that he was qualified to judge my mental state! Plus, my headaches were caused by a misalignment in my spine that is now successfully treated by osteopathic adjustment. Avoid this idiot "doctor" like the plague!

They kept me overnight for observation while I was on a heart monitor. I would not recommend this doctor - he does not seem to care about his patients....

I ended up with bronchitis and walking pneumonia three times in six months. Here is why I give Dr. Wasson 5 stars. He is one of the few doctors I have ever consulted with who actually realizes we might know a tad about our own bodies. What a concept? Right! Here is where we found this realization. I have been susceptible to chronic bronchitis for most of my life, an affliction I share with my mother. And both of us, over the years have figured out that there is a tell-tale sign of impending doom... a metallic taste in our mouth that won't go away. The first time I went to see Dr. Wasson, I complained about a metallic taste in my mouth. He gave me an antibiotic, a weak one and sent me on my way. Two weeks later I had full blown bronchitis that was borderline walking pneumonia. This time he gave me a couple of shots and some medicines to get me well. He wrote this metallic taste phenomenon in my chart. Every time since then, I just call and say I'm tasting metal and he gives me the full treatment before I have a chance to get really sick. Only once have I been given a prescription from Dr. Wasson where he didn't give me a sample or a coupon. And that one time was one of those days I was thoroughly glad to have such a great doctor! I had full-blown food poisoning. I had been attempting to take phenergan for a couple of days to no avail. I had both suppositories and pills. So this day Dr. Wasson gave me a prescription and sent me over to Las Colinas Pharmacy where they created a phenergan cream that I could rub on my arms. Because if you have been getting sick for 3-4 days you have to be able to get the medicine in you where it will stay, if you catch my drift. Dr. Wasson's office has always been able to work me in anytime I was sick...and they were very quick and thorough when I needed to have my pre-op screening to make sure my heart, my lungs and everything else was healthy enough for brain surgery. Having learned to be my own advocate for health care, I am extremely particular about who I trust to take care of me. In my experience, if Dr. Furman doesn't specialize in what he feels may be ailing you, he will refer you to a specialist that may be able instead of giving you a bogus answer or blowing you off. Also, his practice offers an after hours/weekend clinic that staffed on a rotation basis but he is there at least one night a week. It comes in handy for urgent care needs. ***No matter where I move in the metroplex, I will always make my way to see Dr. Furman if the need arises.
