The carpets looked good after they were done, but after drying multiple spots were still there . We had a better experience with other companies. Also, the cost ended up being $100 more than he estimated. Jumped from around $200 to $315. I would have them actually measure and tell you instead of just looking at your space and ball parking. I waited past the time slot they scheduled and called them and the person who was supposed to come could not be located. If I hadn't called no one would of come I waited for another hour for someone to come. We are not very happy with our experience. read more

The last time I rented a carpet shampooer, I threw my back out and was in pain for weeks. So, I decided to have a professional do the job. I called AJS Carpet Cleaners. The guys were pleasant enough and came out the same day I called. They came in and wet down my carpets with what appeared to be very hot water and then walked around spraying the carpet with a squirt bottle of a white/milky looking liquid. So far, so good. They then brought in something that looked like a floor polisher and ran that over the carpets. Granted, my carpets were FILTHY. Pet urine stains, nicotine stains from heavy smoking and just all around dirt and stains. It did lighten up the nicotine stains. The stains were still visible when they left, but I thought that was all I could hope for. For 3 days, the carpets were still quite wet and smelled like mud and pet urine covered with odor remover. I had a carpet stretcher guy come out to tighten the carpet in the bedroom. His knees were saturated because the carpet was still so wet. That's when I decided to go to the grocery store and rent a Rug Doctor. I picked up a couple bottles of Resolve carpet cleaner also. Just the first pass over the still visible nicotine stain was like day and night!! I kept going over the entire carpet areas they (supposedly) cleaned and I kept sucking up black mud smelling water!!! When I was done, ALL of the stains were gone, the carpets smelled fresh (from the Resolve) after using the rug doctor!!! AJS= $120.00 Rug Doctor= $32.00 + 2 bottles of Resolve @$10. For under $60.00, my carpets were so clean and fresh. Guess if you want something done right.....you have to do it yourself!!!! Yelp says I'm in Benicia, CA, but I'm in Payson, UT now. read more

We purchased a new home with the previous owners promise to clean the house and have the carpets shampooed before we moved in. In a panicky I began calling different carpet cleaning companies and Aj's was able to fit us in after hearing about our dilemma and had our carpets cleaned and dry that day. Set up an appointment 4 days in advance. Prepped the space putting up chairs and moving furniture. They called 1 hour before appointment and said they would be 5 hours late or they could do it another day.
