The employees were really sweet and worked well together. Very random but I love that they have crushed ice. The wings were great. I would have liked less liquid on the garlic parm because it wipes off the garlic and cheese which is amazing. The fries were perfect. I loved the corn nuggets even without powdered sugar like I'm used to. My dad enjoyed his Philly cheesesteak. The prices are great. Whenever we are back in Quincy, we will visit again. We were in town to pick up some cookies that we ordered from a downtown bakery. My daughter and I chose to eat elsewhere, but my husband mentioned that he had to have some wings from AJs. LOL! He ordered 25 pieces, with fries (teriyaki and hot). I tried one of each and they were pretty tasty. Good customer service; not a long wait in line. I am sure we will visit again when in the area. I'll plan to try some of the other sauces next time. :o) read more

Best wings in the area! Great food, service and quick. I always get the garlic parmesan wings with carrots and ranch. The sauces are fabulous and plentiful. So unlike the chain sores. They have strips, boneless, and pork chops. You can get sandwiches and baskets as well. Th sweet tea is good as well. read more

Like most, I do not leave a review unless something is significantly exceeds expectations or significantly disappoints. Unfortunately, this is the latter. First a little backstory as it will be relevant later on. I spent eight hours traveling up to Quincy for an event that unfortunately ran into some technical difficulties. As a result, dinner was delayed by 3 hours and after being outside in the rain, most guests decided to find food elsewhere. If you've been in the general area, you know there is not much food selection outside of a few chain restaurants. This place was actually packed, so we figured why not give it a try as pizza and tacos did not sound appealing on a cold rainy night. So I'll start off by listing the pros: line moved relatively quickly and only took about 5 minutes to get our food. We went through the drive-thru of though the exterior looked clean. Unfortunately, that's where the compliments stop. We were a family of four so we ordered their family meal which was a whopping $49.99. $13 per head wasn't exactly a bargain especially when other chain restaurants have family meals in the low $40s except their portion size is enough to have leftovers. The family meal is a box of fries, 25 wings (didn't count to verify though we did two flavors which would lead me to believe we only got 24) and 10 chicken tenders (we received a box of mini chicken strips that I again did not take the time to count). Now on to the taste: Thank God somebody recommended half lemon pepper instead of all bbq wings. The lemon pepper wings were overcooked and too hard to bite in areas and they sat in a lemon dressing that ran down your face and hands as we ate them. That said, they were still better than the bbq wings. They tasted like plastic with minimal runny sauce that closely resembled microwaving Tyson chicken wings (given how quickly we got our food...). Same applies to the fries - very little crunch and maybe 15 out of the 60 fries were actually seasoned. A few of the tenders were surprisingly juicy though they had no notable flavor which meant you had to eat them with some type of sauce. Remind you that this is someone who has been traveling all day and is starving at this point. I can't imagine how this would've tasted if it was a typical dinner. The final kicker was that they charged us for the incorrect meal. We could have drove off (considering the food quality, we should have) though we pointed this out for it to be corrected. We were charged $18 for a $50 family meal and after discussing with the manager the cashier told us the difference was $43 and that was the additional charge. I'm not the smartest guy in the world but I know 43+18 is more than 60 which is more than the cost of the meal. I get that mistakes happen, though this was discussed with the manager for about 3 minutes which leads me to believe it was intentional. I get inflation is impacting businesses just like consumers but for the price, quality and checkout errors, this has been one of my most disappointing meals in a while. Either drop the prices to match the food quality or take a little more time to make well seasoned fresh food (and still drop the prices). First and only trip for me as I will not be in the area again in the future, but hoping this helps the restaurant improve for the locals that continue to support. read more

First, to get anyone to answer the phone, one has to call multiple times. The customer service is awful and the workers are very lazy and disinterested in helping much less working. Too bad this is one of the few places to eat in Quincy. read more

VERY unprofessional service!!! First, I was greeted at the window, "AJs" then the employee said "AJs" again. There was no professional greeting. At 8pm the full menu isn't available. I've come 2x and couldn't order the fried steak combo. I could only order chicken strips or wings. Lastly, I asked for my fries to be fried hard and the employee said we already put your food in the bag. I said again, I would like crispy fries. She then got a worse attitude and yelled I need you to drop fries to the employee in the back. I know employees are hard to find but the lady working the window was terrible. read more

Their floor mat reads "Fresh, fast, friendly" and we personally experienced that. The food was delivered to us in a friendly manner and it was really fresh. I was surprised to hear that they never freeze their foods. We will be back if we're ever in the area. read more

Driving back from camping on US 90 and hit Quincy, FL. Started looking for some BBQ or locals lunch spot,...since I am on a diet I saw a funny sign for AJ's it read : Bucket of Pork Chops and Low Carb Lunch......had to stop, clean outside and in. Good friendly staff, the owner came out to check on diners and wished us safe travels! Super nice fella! The salad was made fresh at order, wife loved the corn nuggets and homemade dipping sauce for chicken tenders,...which she stated were exceptional as was the sauce. I had the wings, very good! The pork chop menu was extensive, about anyway you could want them! cube steak, and others, but CHICKEN is AJ's Forte and we know why!!!! Blue music soul food, good stuff! Poorest service of any restaurant on planet earth. Takes about a tank of gas to get through drive through. They obviously cook meal from scratch if someone orders something they don't have ready & that person stays in line waiting rather than being asked to pull out of line to wait while others are served.
