Passing through from Houston to Corpus and found this burger joint. Great food and kind service. Would definitely stop by again.

Finding AJ's is why I like Yelp. Was driving up Hwy 59 heading home and looked up restaurants and found this burger joint in Edna. A small and very clean and friendly mom and pop. There was a table with several older couples in their church clothes so I knew it was popular with locals. Ordered the cheeseburger all the way with onion rings. Burger was excellent and the rings some of the best I've had. Friendly hard working staff. Glad I skipped the fast food chain and found this gem in Edna.

    Cheeseburger combo!

Don't let the outside scare you away. Cute old gas station inside turned burger joint. Great cheeseburger, make sure to ask for the sour dough bun! We will be back next time we're passing through.

I'm not trying to ruin anything, this is my honest opinion about the food that's all. I don't want a new recipe or a perfect American famous dish. Just a simple burger with fries. OMG!! really no way :( how's that possible. Don't just sell food with no personality and make a deal, try to get better cook something real. Something that makes people come back. I know I'm not coming back.

Best burgers in town but the philly cheese steaks are my favorite. Fair prices, definitely worth it.

The food was really good! We went while camping at Lake Texana. Don't let the outside fool you! Inside is clean and serves cold beer!

The best burgers in Edna and surrounding counties! Also the best homemade chili! Definitely worth the drive to get some good food!

It's one of those classic Texas roadhouse restaurants - a tiny joint in an old gas station, with brick walls and polished concrete floors.

I've visited the Shiner brewery before and still had a few beverage tokens left over, so on a hot Friday afternoon I decided to put them to good use and finally give the BBQ a try. The main entrance was under renovation, so I had to enter through the gift shop. Once inside, I was immediately greeted by friendly staff, and the restaurant itself was very clean and well organized. I ordered the spicy sausage sandwich with a side of coleslaw. David cut up two full sausage links for the sandwich, and it was absolutely loaded with meat. I added onions, pickles, and jalapeños--all included--which was a nice touch. I also requested an extra sauce, something that wasn't offered during checkout but was accommodated when I asked. I took my sandwich outside to enjoy the live music and redeem one of my brewery tokens, which made for a great afternoon. The sausage was the highlight of the meal. It had a good level of spice, was cooked well, and the portion size was generous. The BBQ sauce was a little thinner than I prefer, but it still paired well with the sandwich overall. The coleslaw was the weak point. It tasted more like a lightly pickled slaw and felt somewhat one-dimensional without much else to elevate it. Overall, I enjoyed the experience. Between the friendly staff, live music, brewery atmosphere, and solid sausage sandwich, it was a worthwhile stop. I'll definitely be back to use my remaining tokens, although I'm not sure the BBQ alone would be enough reason for me to make a special trip.

We ordered a brisket sandwich, a sausage link, some potato salad and creamed corn. It was all very... bland? The sausage and creamed corn were probably the best part but they were still not great. It was edible, but I would not opt to spend money here again.
