Best burgers in town but the philly cheese steaks are my favorite. Fair prices, definitely worth it.

I love AJ's, but I just had the worst experience there. We got food for three people and were made to wait over 45 minutes. When one of us went inside to check what was taking so long, our food was just sitting on the counter. Worst customer service ever. read more

Stopped at AJ's on a whim based on others reviews. We were not disappointed for sure. The cheeseburger and okra were delicious. Best tasting burger meat, (juicy and flavorful) I've had in years. Might try the cheesesteak or chicken wrap next time. We will be back again next time we go through Edna on the way to the coast. read more

Lots of locals, always a good sign. AJ's has a following for sure. Able to pay with Apple Pay, very nice - the Burgers were super fresh, meat, buns and vegetables - the place was clean despite being a converted service station. The onion rings were fresh too, didn't seem like they were previously frozen from a bag either. Nice service in spite of being a counter order arrangement. read more

Restored gas station that is a hole in the wall kind of place. Crispy fries. Juicy burgers. Philly steak sandwich was amazing. Entire order was fresh and hot. We don't travel to Edna much but we will eat here again. Staff was friendly. Whole family was impressed and no one left hungry. Highly recommend! read more

I couldn't decide between a burger, their home made chili, or the chicken salad. The woman behind the counter gave us samples of the chicken salad. We are taking some home for lunch tomorrow. 4 of us... 1st time. Cheese Burgers were good! Very good.okra & tater tots were extra crispy-like we asked ! But the cook didn't follow exactly the order-one of us got onions that didn't want it& also wanted tots & got fries. One other got fries instead of okra. Other than that the actual food was goo! Outside almost made us not stop-it's an old gas station & not fixed up outside. Inside is fine. Just a local burger joint! Worth the stop !! read more

Awesome hole in the wall diner serving American style food. Their burgers are delicious and a regular will fill up most people. They do have a double though :) a healthy amount of fries with their combo and a nice seating area make this a great find if you're in Edna. Don't let the outside fool you. I travel through Edna at least 1-2 times a month and have never even noticed this place. Glad I stopped!! This little gem looks bad from the outside but don't let that dissuade you from going in. It has been very nicely redone.... The menu is varied and they have daily specials as well. I went with the sourdough cheese burger basket. The bun was delicious the beef patty very juicy and perfectly seasoned! The fries were great... crispy on the outside and perfectly done on the inside. I sat there and read a book while eating and the atmosphere was just right! Will be back to sample more of the menu soon! read more

This restaurant looks like it was a gas station a long time ago, and clearly the owners of AJ's have wasted no money on any exterior signage. Wife and I both ordered the Philly Cheese Steak combo. Overall, a tasty sandwich, although the portion size could have been a little larger. Crinkle fries were most likely frozen and were served completely unseasoned, so they were a bit bland. The salt shaker was nearly empty, so it seem that other AJ's patrons have had to substantially salt their fries as well. Overall, we were adequately satisfied with our meal in this hole in a wall place in Edna. The lady taking our order and serving us was very friendly. read more
