Came to Midvan after shopping around for a repair on my rear fender. It's a small'ish autobody shop…read moretucked amongst a few others in the area. Notably, the muffler place nearby actually recommended us to MidVan over their competitors as well (actually telling us to avoid a few of the other places along the way: "don't mess around, the guys at Midvan are pretty good.") Spoke with David, who was honest and friendly. To be fair, all of the other shops I spoke to were also friendly, but also opened with expensive quotes. David gave me a repair options for going through an ICBC claim, or a cheaper alternative if I wanted to pay out of pocket (i chose the cheaper). Since it was a 3rd party that was paying for me (the other person involved in the accident), he actually made it a point to get payment upfront, in order to protect both of us (myself as the accident'ee, and him as the repair person) from getting stuck with a bill. Fair, thorough, and took the time to explain the process to me. Arranged a courtesy car, completed repair by next business day, with price as quoted. Would use him for my future repairs. Recommended, certainly if you're in Burnaby and a no-brainer if you're in the Dawson/Brentwood area.

They are an "ICBC Accredited" shop, so any minor accident that was not your fault, and was no hit and run, you complained of no bodily injury, and ICBC has waved the deductible on you, most likely you will not even have to go to the claim centres, as when you tell them on the phone, you can just go here. A big shop, where the entrance for a car is on the back alley, which is really close to Brittania Secondary. Any body work that needs to be done, they do a great job in restoring your car back to what it should be looking like. The workers are helpful in explaining what they did after you pick up your car, are very thorough from front to back. The guy who runs the shop (Kevin) is very friendly, and over the years of coming here, he knows who I am, and all his clientele, and not treating you just as another number going through his shop. They have courtesy cars here, that are a bit older, but they have them, but what really sets this shop apart from the rest is the service, attitude, and care that take on working on your car. They are very honest as well!

I was asked to wait for a Catherine to arrive for about one hour (she is said to have been a former police constable). She perfectly ignored me like I didn't exist. She then quickly took about a dozen photographs from all over the vehicle (including the sunscreen on top which was virtually irrelevant). Then she asked for the Owners Certificate and took photocopies of that too. At the end, when I asked for the assessment I initially wanted, she said they wouldn't disclose their assessment to customer. At this time, their other employee (Ehsan, of Iranian background) gave me a swear word (without provocation) and asked me to leave.
