And Amy, the manager, was wonderful to work with throughout the process.

BE AWARE BEFORE HIRING THIS COMPANY! READ ONE-STAR REVIEWS ON YELP AND GOOGLE MAPS…read more Based on my experience, I would strongly advise potential customers to get a detailed written quote before agreeing to any service. On May 17, 2026, I called for a battery boost service and was quoted $89 + tax over the phone. During the call, I clearly explained that my vehicle was parked in my building's parking garage and that access would need to be arranged. I was told this would not be an issue. However, when it came time to pay, I was charged $174.15--almost double the quoted amount. Thinking there had been a mistake, I immediately called the company. I was then informed that an additional $40 underground parking fee (which I would have mentioned if I had known) and a fuel surcharge had been added to the bill. These charges were never disclosed or mentioned before the service was performed. After reading other reviews on Google, I noticed several customers reporting the exact same issue: being quoted one price and then charged significantly more because of undisclosed fees. If this has happened repeatedly, why not provide customers with a complete and transparent quote upfront? I have spent so much time trying to resolve this matter directly with the company, but I have been unable to obtain a satisfactory response. The issue is not the existence of additional fees--it is the failure to clearly disclose them before the service is provided. Transparency matters. Customers deserve to know the full cost before agreeing to a service, not after the work has already been completed. As a result, I will be filing a complaint with Consumer Protection BC and hope that this helps prevent other consumers from having the same experience.

Don't tow your car with them…read more I had a great experience with the tow itself following an MVA 3 weeks ago - I got their contact information from ICBC as an approved vendor - they arrived promptly (literally within 10 minutes) and the driver was very nice. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for the manager. I came by the lot last week to get some forgotten items out of my car - no issues there. Besides all of the cars being left unlocked with keys in the ignition. Not that they can go very far, but it doesn't feel very secure. I also felt like my car looked a little rougher than it did before (my drivers door which previously could not open, has been pried open). Today, I come by, as instructed by a claims supervisor to collect my license plates and a couple of floor mats I forgot to collect last week, and it was the end of the world. I explained which car I was there for, and the "manager", despite seeing me less than a week ago, proceeded to yell and scream at me, accusing me of being a "thief" and threatening to call the police on me, and to close the gate and lock me in the lot (btw - forcible confinement is a criminal offence and valid reason to call the police). What a wonderful way to treat a customer. Unfortunately for him, I was not scared of him and stood my ground that as the owner of the vehicle, it is my right to access my vehicle. The girls inside came out and were very nice - they apologized for his ridiculous behaviour, and let me out of the lot. Moral of the story - have your car towed elsewhere. If I could move my car out of their lot, I would. They don't deserve a single cent of yours or ICBC's money. Learn how to treat people with respect -------------- Update: May 7 I received a call from them this afternoon - I initially anticipated it was the owner calling to talk about my review - Instead it was the dispatcher, who is one of the girls who I spoke with yesterday - unfortunately, she was not very nice today. She told me that they had charged me a $45.00 fee that I needed to pay for accessing my own vehicle? When I pushed back and asked why the manager didn't say anything about this the first time I came to the lot, or yesterday, she developed an even bigger attitude and started to go on a tangent about me "trespassing", saying I can't just enter the lot unauthorized - I asked where the signage was because there's no signage that says "do not enter" or anything of the sort - it's literally a chainlink gate they leave half or fully open. She started lecturing me about how I needed to report into the office upon my arrival - but how am I supposed to get to the office if I'm not able to enter the property? And again, I did check in with the manager? The manager remains nameless as they are trying to hide his identity. I asked to speak to the owner, whom she said doesn't work there? When I asked who responded to my Google Review, she said it's automatic (it's not), and I asked "an automatic personalized review?" to which she said yep. She told me I was "lucky that she was nice enough to let me out of the lot yesterday" with MY belongings from MY car that is a total loss. That ICBC told me to go access. These guys love forcible confinement for some reason - kinda weird. also kind of (very) illegal. I told her I would not be paying this arbitrary made up fee. She got even more angry, and told me they would not be releasing my vehicle to ICBC until I paid this fee. I said don't worry about it - I'll make sure to let ICBC know. Big shout out to ICBC for taking care of this situation. They were so prompt in dealing with this, and telling me they would take it from here. They put in a rush removal of my car from the lot tonight to prevent these guys from getting anymore money, and guess what? They were able to get the car! Isn't that crazy? A tow yard not being able to hold hostage a vehicle they do not own from the company who is paying for it to be there? Very grateful this situation is over. Again, don't tow with them, unless you want to deal with whatever the heck this experience was. --------

Mike is such a genuine honest guy, and has once again helped me out in a pinch. I had to move out of my apartment in mid December and had to get my car out of the building by January 1st. Having a lowered and kitted car in an underground parkade with a slanted exit would probably be enough for other towing companies to pass on the job. Sterling Towing happily showed up and helped me get my car onto the flatbed while navigating an awkward angle and a gate that kept trying to close on the car. Mike and his awesome driver Joe were extremely thorough and made absolutely sure nothing was scratched or damaged. It's also worth noting that since the car was somewhat able to drive Mike even tried to talk me out of getting it towed. However due to repairs needed and not having insurance on the car we agreed to tow it and took it to his dad's shop (KMF Auto, which I also recommend). When unloading the car Mike was on his hands and knees carefully placing 2x4's and inspecting the car every inch of the way down. I'm always blown away by the level of service Sterling Towing provides. When Mike says he cares about your car, he is not bluffing.
