Needed them to pick me up from school to bring me to the airport. They arrived 20 minutes early, which might be great for some things, but since I was in class I couldn't leave early. I called the company and they agreed I'd not need to pay the additional waiting fees and so the gentleman waited and took me on my way at the requested time. read more

Found AK Cab on yelp and I have to say that the 5 star reviews hold up! In my experience, when I have ordered a cab they always come at least 10-15 minutes late. AK not only showed up on time, but was 15 minutes early! His cab was spotless and he couldn't have been nicer. I will definitely be texting AK for my airport trips in the near future! I had a very early Monday morning flight to the airport and I wasn't sure that using a shuttle van service would be reliable. I looked up some of the bigger taxi operations, but then I noticed the large number of positive reviews for AK. I contacted him in advance on a Saturday, to schedule the trip to the airport. He quickly responded back and confirmed my details. On Monday morning, he texted me that he had arrived. He was about 10 minutes early, but he patiently waited for me to check out of the hotel. His vehicle was clean and well-maintained. He was a sociable, yet attentive driver. The ride was quick and the cost was less than the original estimate. I found AK Cab through Yelp last month when trying to figure out how I was going to get myself and my daughter to the train station in downtown San Diego (which has NO parking lot) for a really early morning train. I called him the night before, and our train was super early, like before dawn. Nevertheless, he was in our driveway, early, and got us there in plenty of time. As other reviewers have said, he's friendly, car is clean, no issues like I've had with other cabs (ie: driver speeds or drives dangerously, car smells, driver is sketchy). $60 Bonita to downtown, but I guess that's the going rate. I figure it's worth it to have a driver you can trust. Will be booking him again soon for a trip to the airport. read more

Still 5 stars. Would give more if I could. Still nothing but good things to say about AK. Extremely professional, great person, always on time, and his cab is always in supreme condition. I use AK probably about 1-2 x a month to get to the airport. Plus scheduling a ride is always easy, just shoot him a text. Called AK day in advance for ride at 12:30 from north island to airport. The next day at 11am I asked to be picked up early at 11:45 am he was nice about it and came early still! Picked me up at 11:35am which was great. Has access to base which is great! Def recommend to anyone. Clean car also! read more

Don't call anyone else for a ride. He is so nice and so reliable. What is most impressive to me is that even though he has no employees, meaning he does all the driving, he seems to make himself available at any time unless he has another reservation. He is a very hard worker, good family man (we had a nice conversation during our ride to the airport), and a genuinely nice guy. I'm glad to see so many people supporting his business. read more

We had an awful experience with A K Cab. We called them the night before an early flight and reserved a pick up for 5:45 AM. At 6 AM the next morning when they still hadn't shown up OR answered our calls we had to drive ourselves and pay for 8 days at the airport. We almost missed our flight. At about 6:15 AM they finally called us back and said "We're running late- do you still need a pick up?" We were furious! Do not use this company! read more

We used AK to take us to the airport. He was prompt (actually early) and professional. I was surprised he ran a metered cab as I was expecting some sort of private town car. His car was comfortable and clean. He was friendly and we were able to book a day in advance of when we needed him.
