This was me and hubby's first time visiting Ak-Chin for a movie since moving to this area and to be honest I was pretty impressed, at first. It was busy with different vendors selling things and the entertainment area was lively. We ordered our movie tickets online and was able to walk right in... the theater was not packed at all with about a total of 10 to 11 of us and we saw the movie Sinners. My only complaint is once the credits start rolling, the movie is not over, but what they did was turn on the lights before the movie was over. Taking it as though that movie is playing all day long. You would think that they know that that movie isn't over so I wasn't happy about that. We will visit again with the kids and try to enjoy the other amenities, which are the casino, arcade, bowling Etc,,, we'll be back for an update, hopefully. read more

26.50 for two people for 2 games is a okay- tad high price for bowling in a early 90s bowling alley. Granted wasn't expecting modern aesthetics or technology but could the pins be arranged without being knocked down or just shutting down entirely? (happened to a family next to me and my partner) We left halfway through our second game. Not to mention the wait staff ignored me trying to order alcohol. Ak-Chin center is always a hit or miss experience. It's so gorgeous on the inside but it's sort of a ghost town. I typically go when I want to catch a movie which is usually nice except sometimes there are staff there to help and sometimes there's not. I remember calling about an event before and no one ever picked up but I believe it's because no one was there! They had a free carnival a while ago and it was so nice for the community. Overall, I think it has a lot of potential and I would love to see the place lively and bustling with staff and customers. read more

Overall bowling experience was good. When we got to our lane the previous people were still sitting there. Their dirty dishes and food sat at the table and on the floor the whole time. I asked an employee at the restaurant if we can get it cleaned up, she said she would let a bowling alley employee know. Finished our last game and the lane was still ditry. The new group of people sitting across from us were nice enough to stack the cups and plates. But that is not something they should have to do. Came to have dinner with friends at 347 grill in the entertainment center. Everyone at the table got there food beside me . The gentleman who brought out the food asked if we needed anything and and we said yes we're missing one plate he asked what it was cause he didn't show it , later waitress came to tell us they burned the pasta which was a lie . Almost 30 minutes later the pasta was brought out but this was after watching the kitchen mopping the floor and cleaning and then grabbing the pasta plate and bringing to table with no glove nothing . Unsanitary ! Manager never came out to check on us or ask how everything was . We finally had to ask for manager. Who was also a piece of shit . Nothing was done he took pasta off the bill bit we returned it but nothing else such horrible customer service horrible manager ! The we went to snack bar to order. A hot dog since I was the only one on the group to not eat and those 2 hot dogs both had a long strand of hair on them ! read more

Disclaimer- my husband and I are retired, and came here on two week days to bowl at Ten Pins Down. We've been here before the pandemic, so we recognize that they are trying to attract customers back, with an emphasis on safety. Obviously, there are no crowds on weekday afternoons. They had a pretty good staff to ensure the desk was covered and ample tech support on the lanes. The bowling lanes were decent and comfortable, but my husband felt the lanes needed oil. The games are $2 each in thee afternoon. There is a to-go counter at the adjacent restaurant for food and beverages. Service was a little slow, but adequate. The ice cream counter was closed, the adjacent arcade area is still closed. There is also a concession counter in the lobby. Let's talk safety. They have lots of signs and announcements that masks are required at all times. Which is really awkward for a physical activity. The first day, we we're spaced 4-6 lanes apart, so we removed our masks on the approach. The second time, we had people on the adjacent lanes that weren't wearing masks at all. A manager did come by to request wee all wear masks at all times. Just thought it was a challenge in the lack of consistency. read more

Resturant- Customer service they forgot to give my son part of his order, and when I went to ask for his order, nobody was able to help me. After I got the bartender's attention, he was a total jerk. I also missed part of the movie because they had me waiting like if I was asking them for free food. Boo to you! No stars!! read more

Went bowling as a family and the temperature in the establishment was extremely warm. Upon arriving and getting stuff for bowling, the employees were unfriendly and lazy. Not a " you're welcome " or any sort of customer service. While in our lane, the people next to us left and left their pizza pan and trash there. We were there for almost 2 hours and not one employee was walking around to ensure the place was clean. 3 of them were just talking amongst themselves at the desk even when they didn't have a line of people to assist. This place was an awful experience for bowling. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with nasty attitudes from the staff. Once settled in our lane, the lane started having mechanical issues. It wasn't returning the bowling balls, after letting the staff know they responded with crappy attitudes and no apologies were given on their end for the mishaps. This was a Sunday, on the website it said closing at 9pm. They started turning the lights on and shutting down the bowling area at 8:30pm while paying customers were still in the middle of a game with 30 minutes until they closed. This "business" was very unprofessional, rude, and the service was disgusting. If you want to go bowling it's worth it in the end to just drive to Chandler and go bowling over there. Wanted to go bowling with some friends and get some pizza and beer. Us 3 grown adults managed to play 2 entire 10 frame games without getting asked a single time if we wanted service. We weren't even offered water. The lane broke multiple times during the two games. Bowling is overpriced and service sucks. Will not be returning, would rather drive into Chandler. read more

I arrived to the bowling alley at 3 and was told it's a 45 minute wait. Two hours later I'm watching the same people that have been bowling since I got here continuously add game after game to their alley. They were only signed up for two games but they've played about 5-6 because they just keep adding "one more game". When an alley finally empties I wait to be called while the employees stand around talking to one another behind the counter. I had to go and say "it's been two hours and you said 45 min" for them to realize the alleys were empty. I still bowled because my 9 yr old was excited about it but the staff is terrible. read more

This place has piss poor service. I am bowling in a men's tournament and in between sets I sat here waiting to order food. I am sitting at a table next to a group who has been visited by wait staff 6 times and each time the waitress walks right by me with zero acknowledgement even though I am sitting here with a menu in hand. If I could NOT have selected a star that would be way to much! This place is a total joke. Walked in, went to the bowling counter. We subqestly got sent to 3 different lanes.... I was told no lane servers so went to directed area to be told the gentleman on my left is my lane server. Hmm... so now we have a lane server! Fantastic! Ordered an app and drinks-great. I walked up to bar to get napkins and plates that were not dropped when food was dropped . This 19 something "security" child tells me to put a mask on while I'm sitting eating and drinking.... rhe second time I decide to remove my family as I'm the only singled out. The entire lane I was sharing with another family haf NO MASKS. when turning in our shoes I ask the "SECURIY" "Why am I the only one you asked to put a mask on?? He said because you didn't have one. With events they have at the Luxe Bar, I recently attended a dance they had on September 4th and the bar staff was not ready for the crowd. Being a bartender for 3 and half years I've experienced this type of crowd and when you put on an event that will draw in the Ak-Chin Community as well as the Tohono O'odham Nation you need to be prepared for a big crowd and tend to each and every one of the guest. I've seen people wait for almost half an hour and the bartender would walk by them and tend to a different guest as well as work in a fast paced environment. read more
