Run away as fast as you can. Look at the workmanship below. We wish we had never listened to…read moretheir slick salesman. Alex NEVER came out to the house even after we plead with him to fix this. Shameful. Just shameful.

I have to take a few deep breaths before writing this review…read more We had Alexandria Windows come out to replace a few windows two summers ago. The communication and scheduling was lacking, so we were a little frustrated, but it didn't prepare us for the ordeal we were going to be dealing with. We live in an old house, 1920's. My husband expressed this many times, that appropriate measures would have to be taken as we had lead in our old windows and trim. I heard him over the phone as well as in person and he was assured they would take the steps necessary. The day the windows were to be replaced, my kids and I left the house. Two windows were in our daughters room, the other in our guest bedroom. One window was oriented the wrong way and still installed. The worst part was, after removing the old windows, the workers took leaf blowers out to blow debris out into the yard below and all over the rooms. My husband ran upstairs and yelled at them to stop, that once again, there was lead paint involved. They stopped and cleaned up, but not well enough. My husband wiped everything down afterwards, not trusting it was cleaned properly. A few months later, my daughter received test results showing elevated levels of lead in her blood. It was quick and not a single other person in our family had any detectable levels. I was livid. I'm still livid. I don't care that one of our windows is wrong or that it took forever to arrange communication. I'm livid that lead safe practices weren't followed as promised and my child had to pay for it. You can't put a price on that. Thankfully, she's grown, and the situation is under control now, but if you have an old house, I would absolutely not recommend this company. To the owner, if your business gives homeowners your word that things will be done safely and following safe standards, you need to follow through. Safety should be top priority. This could have had a very poor outcome.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY -5 star rating. Yes, negative 5…read more Worst service ever from both service team and management. Originally purchased 2 garage doors from Anderson on 4/29/13. In October of 2018, a cable on one of the doors snapped. A service call was made on October 22, 2018. There were 2 service men, Scott (apparently the one in charge) and Ron an elderly gentlemen who told me he was just hanging on to retire soon. When I tried to explain what happened when the door broke, Scott cut me off and said, "I can see what happened, I don't need your explanation". I expressed that my husband and I reattached the cable yet the door still was not opening and closing properly. Scott then scolded me profusely stating that we should never try to repair a door on our own and what we "should have done" was called Anderson immediately. Scott said the cable detached because the rollers were rusted, rotted and bad. I asked Scott what would cause rollers that were only about 5 years old to go bad so quickly. He argued about the age of the doors stating that they were at least 10 years old which is not true - the receipt I hold for those doors is 4/29/13 which dated the doors to be just a bit over 5 years. Scott proceed to say that the rollers were garbage and that they were going to put on new, heavy duty rollers. "Garbage?!" The rollers that came with the brand new door were garbage? Scott said, "yes, the factory rollers that come with the doors are crap and this will solve your problem. The rollers were replaced and Scott was sour that I didn't like the way he had spoke to me so while Ron worked alone, Scott sat inside of their van. Following their visit, called Anderson to speak with the manager about Scott's customer service and the way he spoke to me. Honestly I was pretty shook. The manager told me that Scott was a great guy and that he didn't know what else to say. The garage door shook vigorously as it opened and closed. I called back to Anderson and within a couple days, Ron came back out, met with my husband and told him that he needed to grease the rollers and everything would work just fine. My husband did as Rod suggested. Fast forward, it is December of 2018 and the garage door is screeching so loud with every open and every close. My husband greased again yet the loud screeching still remains. It was a hectic holiday season so I waited until after the first of the new year to contact Anderson. I called them on January 4, 2019. The manager told me that they would come out for a service call but that I would have to pay a service charge again. That the work they did would not be covered for this visit. The invoice reads that I have a 60 warranty but obviously since I called just a few days beyond that 60 days, Anderson will not service the work they have already done unless we pay them again. Since I have had repeated horrible customer service from Anderson, I will not pay them again. Now I will pay a competitor who cares about their customers and prides themselves on craftsmanship to repair a door installed by Anderson and serviced by Anderson.

Scott and Kyle came out and delivered exactly what Terry quoted, and once again I could not be more impressed. Their professionalism, work ethic and skill set are immediately apparent. My old heavy wood doors were quickly removed, the new doors installed, and the work area left immaculate when finished. The doors I purchased are insulated, and quality is immediately evident, I know in cold weather especially these doors really deliver on keeping the garage and/or bay areas a lot warmer from the elements. Thank you to the team at Anderson Door! John and Christine S-06/26/20
