He is one of those who professes to be a good Christian. My ex and I used to do the income taxes and took his advice for 8 years. He was clever and good in terms of taxes. However, as a professional he lacks of good ethics. When I was passing through the my divorce, he gave a letter to my ex stating that I went to his office when I didn't go for income taxes of 2022. He not even bother to check his agenda to make sure I wasn't there. Also, I think he was unprofessional that he gave a letter to my ex so he can used it in court against me because I was as good client of his as my ex was. Finally, he used to share information about other family member's finances of my ex with us during our yearly sessions. Sorry! but I certainly do not recommend Steve Williams.

After we approved the draft returns they sent, they filed them. Problem is, when I asked for copies of the returns they filed, the information had been changed without our permission! They increased the amount of refund we requested from roughly $10,000 to $35,000 AND CHANGED THE BANK ACCOUNT NUMBER TO A PREPAID DEBIT CARD THAT WAS SENT TO THEM. When I found out (6 months ago) I called them and they said they had been "hacked" and they would fix the problem. Well 6 months have gone by, and I haven't been able to talk to the guy who filed my tax returns despite trying to get into contact with him by calling, emailing, and texting. I still don't have either my state or federal returns, and I am now locked out of my state FTB account, and I may now face an IRS audit. Save yourself a headache, don't let them anywhere near your tax filings. This is a nightmare I can't seem to get out of, and no end is in sight.
