I typically do not leave negative reviews for businesses, as I believe most issues can be resolved through communication and understanding. However, after my recent experience, I feel compelled to share my concerns and explain why I will not be returning to this practice.
I have what I personally refer to as a "three-strike rule" when it comes to businesses, and unfortunately, this office has exceeded that threshold.
My first experience with this practice was when I was 14 years old, when I received dental work involving fillings and bonding treatments. I returned in 2024 for a dental extraction consultation. The original treatment plan involved removing three teeth in succession; however, due to financial limitations, I requested that only the most problematic tooth be extracted.
I have a well-documented history of requiring significantly more local anesthetic than average before achieving proper numbness. During the procedure, I became aware that pressure was being applied to another tooth that was not scheduled for extraction. I experienced what I recognized as the distinct sensation and sound of a tooth fracturing. I immediately asked the dental assistant to stop. She appeared embarrassed and denied that anything had happened.
The reason I am confident in what occurred is because, prior to the appointment, I had personally examined that tooth to ensure it was intact. The sensation and audible pop associated with a tooth fracture are unmistakable. At the time, I chose not to pursue the matter further.
Unfortunately, I can no longer overlook the situation. The tooth that I believe was damaged during that appointment, along with another problematic tooth on the opposite side of my mouth, have both become increasingly painful. This has made eating and chewing extremely difficult.
As a last effort to seek help, I recently contacted this office. I remained polite and understanding throughout the call despite being in significant pain and distress. In return, I felt that my concerns were dismissed, and I was met with laughter and mocking behavior. Whether there was only one staff member present that day or not, the manner in which I was treated was, in my opinion, highly unprofessional and inappropriate for a healthcare setting.
No patient seeking assistance during a dental emergency should feel ridiculed or humiliated. Healthcare professionals choose a profession centered around helping people during vulnerable moments, and I was deeply disappointed by the lack of compassion and professionalism shown during my interaction.
As a result of these experiences, I will not be returning to this practice, nor will I recommend it to others. I would not want anyone else to experience the embarrassment and frustration that I experienced while seeking help.
If you are considering this practice for dental care, I encourage you to research thoroughly and consider patient experiences carefully. Based on my own experiences, I cannot recommend spending your time or money here. What troubles me most is that I have since learned that I am not the only individual who has experienced what I believe to be unprofessional conduct from this office.
I sincerely hope that this feedback is taken seriously and used as an opportunity to improve the way patients are treated in the future. read more
