Quiet lanes for driving through or get a good workout by parking and then taking a hike. Politicians and industrialists and regular people are laid to reset here, with perhaps the most well known being Frank Seiberling (1859 to 1955) who founded the Goodyear Tire company that is based here in Akron. This was quite the spot. There were not too many people here, most of them just take their photos and leave. This warm, historic property has a wonderful ornate charm that makes you feel like you're staying somewhere truly special rather than a typical hotel. The continental breakfast was a real highlight - not only delicious but impressively large with so many choices that I had trouble deciding what to try first. It's clear they put thought into offering variety beyond the standard hotel fare. Our accommodations were very comfortable, featuring a well-appointed bathroom plus a communal living room, dining room, and full kitchen. Having that extra space to spread out made such a difference in our stay. Practical note: parking was easy and convenient, which is always appreciated when you're traveling.
