I had no idea Hoover had a plant in the UK- the volunteer told us that people in England still call their vacuums "Hoovers". Oddly enough, I was listening to an audiobook after we left, and the British author referenced the Hoover in the next chapter that very day. Weird, right? The grounds and gardens here are quite lovely. We walked back to the event space where a lecturer was speaking about the history of North Canton. It was quite warm inside that space, so we quickly left, but my son found the playground and all was good in the world.

WARNING: Worst Rental Experience Here is the order of events…read morethat occurred leading up to my charter and how your company failed to provide what was promised. 4/12/2018 - Client makes inquiry about bus charters and receives a quote from Angie Bishop for one 56 passenger bus to transport guests from the Ritz Carlton hotel (1515 W 3rd St, Cleveland, Ohio) to the private property at 3535 Revere Road, Richfield, Ohio and back, confirming the pickup and drop off locations for the first time. 5/4/2018 - Client receives booking confirmation from Lakefront Lines on the charter, confirming pickup and drop off locations for the second time. 6/14/2018 - Client inquires about a second 56 passenger bus and receives a quote, confirming pickup and drop off locations for the third time. 6/27/2018 - Client receives confirmation on the charter of the two buses, confirming pick up and drop off locations for the fourth time. 9/10/2018 (week of the wedding) - Client's wedding planner reaches out to Lakefront Lines to confirm booking and make sure that Lakefront Lines had performed a test run to ensure timing and accessibility for the guests. Lakefront Lines informed our wedding planner that there has not been a test run and then scheduled one on 9/12/2018 (3 days before the wedding). 9/12/2018 - Lakefront Lines comes to the private property at 3535 Revere Road, Richfield, Ohio and informs the wedding planner that the buses would not be able to drop off passengers at the contracted address, and would drop wedding guests on the street 300 yards away from the location. Lakefront Lines cited road width concerns. Wedding planner asks the coordinator to at least attempt a test run to the actual location, but Lakefront Lines refused. 9/13/2018 (2 days before the wedding) - Wedding planner and client reach out again to Lakefront Lines to try to figure out a solution to transport the guests from the street to the actual location of the property. Not only does Lakefront Lines not offer any solutions (smaller buses, shuttle vans, etc.), the representative, Angie Bishop, now changes the narrative and claims that the booking was for transporting between hotels rather than to a private property. This was a flat out lie and an impossibly bad one, as Lakefront Lines had at least 4 months and 4 different confirmations to check the location. 9/14/2018 (one day before the wedding) - Client books two shuttles from separate companies for an additional cost to move guests safely from the road to the actual location of the venue. As you can see from this timeline and details, Lakefront Lines had four and half months from the time of initial booking (and five months from the original inquiry) to the actual charter date to test run and inform the client that the buses would not be able to drop off guests at the actual location. Lakefront Lines never had the intent to do a test run until the wedding planner reached out. Lakefront Lines informs the client three days before the wedding that they would not be able to drop off at the actual location. When pressed about why the client was not informed of this during the previous four months, Angie Bishop then lied and claimed that the booking was for a hotel to hotel transfer, despite verifying the address four times. Not only did this experience create additional costs for the client (having to book shuttles at the last minute), it also caused delays in the wedding, discomfort from guests (some of whom had to walk), and heavy emotional stress for the client in the week of the wedding. Lakefront Lines made no attempt to remedy the situation and falsely tried to put the entire responsibility on the client.

The Canton Museum of Art (CMA) is an unexpected art gem in the Canton's art district. It is located…read morein the Cultural Center for the Arts. The building contains Canton Ballet, Sing Stark, and ArtsinStark. You can have an entire cultural adventure in the same space. That's exactly what my experience was. I visited the center for St Nicholas Balalaika performance, and discovered that the building had this museum. I love art and so I HAD TO stop in. SPACE: The museum doors are accessible through the Cultural Center for the Arts. You can peek through large windows to get a lot at some art at the Cultural Center for the Arts. The museum has multiple rooms of art. There is plenty of room to explore. The museum also has a small souvenir shop. ADMISSION: Regular adult admission is $8. Free admission is available every Thursday and first Friday of every month. ART: The art museum has a space with gorgeous sculptures. There are also art works for sale in the foyer. Few striking pieces are available. The main exhibit space is displayed in multiple rooms. The current exhibition is Shattered Glass: The Women Who Elevated American Art (on display until March 1). To be honest, prior to the visit here I was only able to name Gloria O'Keefe as a renowned female artist. This exhibit expanded my horizons. There were so many famous and global women artists. It's a very empowering exhibit. You'll even find the renowned "Migrant Mother" photograph. The art includes digital art room. Plan for extra time to look at every piece of art and read every single story. Also, linger by the guestbook available in the galleries. There are beautiful reflections about the exhibit. Leave your own. SERVICE: I was blown away with the service here! I've been to museums in various parts of the work, and this one was the friendliest. I arrived during the last 30 minutes of their work day. The staff welcomed me with open arms. They were friendly, informative, and invited me back. It was an excellent experience. PARKING: There is a surface lot by the center. There is also a parking garage to accommodate visitors. I look forward to returning to the museum for events and exhibits. This museum is such a gem, more people should talk about it. I loved my time there - the art, the hospitality, and the new perspective about women artists.

As someone who isn't a huge football fan, I was mostly tagging along for my husband, who was excited to visit. While there were plenty of exhibits, we were surprised that some notable players we expected to see had very little presence. My husband enjoyed the experience overall but felt there could have been more to see. One thing that stood out was the lack of seating throughout the museum. If you're planning to spend a few hours walking through the exhibits, be prepared to stay on your feet. We spent about two hours exploring and found the two theater presentations to be the highlight of the visit. The films were engaging and, for me, the most memorable part of the experience. The photo packages offered at the entrance were quite expensive, with the cheapest option starting around $38 for digital downloads only. The gift shop was also on the pricey side. In the end, we purchased the digital photos and a few small souvenirs. Overall, it's a worthwhile stop for football fans, especially if you can take advantage of a combo ticket. While my husband was glad he finally got to visit, we both felt the experience was a bit shorter and less extensive than we expected.

It is a kids' modest science center with a big dose of history about the local county. It is not open during the winter, but visitors are able to climb the stairs up to the mausoleum. The view from the top looks over trees to the river. Halfway up the stairs there is a large statue of McKinley. There is plenty of parking. This is a short drive from the Pro football Hall of Fame so if you are in the area it is worth a short stop to pay respects to William McKinley our 25th President.

We won't be back except for the random clearance events. The place has definitely gone downhill in the past few years, less and less offered. The store space is smaller. The chocolates don't even taste the same (or maybe the experience makes it taste miserable, ahahah) I don't see it lasting more than another year or two max. I went on another Canton Food Tour last week, this time a walking tour. It was great fun and very…read moreinformative again. This time the amount of food we got was more reasonable (still plenty to replace a meal and no one left hungry, but not the outrageous portions from last time). We visited Bender's Tavern, Journey art gallery, Deli Ohio, and Basil Asian Bistro, as well as a few other informative/historical stops along the way. You should definitely check out these tours! They also offer tours in Wooster, which I'd like to try next time.
