I went outside, called the number and made an appt for 10 minutes later! Ridiculous. Then while waiting the woman was telling everyone a different story. Some she told they needed an appt. Some she told the wait would be 45 minutes. The Xray Tech (April) was excellent. She was professional and polite. This was around 2:15PM on March 16, 2026.

Rosemary checked me in, and my paperwork was quickly completed. No problem arriving later rather than earlier. Josh came out to the waiting room to get me at 2:25. He apologized for keeping me waiting, but I didn't mind. I enjoyed sipping on one of the complimentary water bottles while watching the flat screen tv on the wall. He took me into a room to store my things in a locker, and change into cotton pants and top. When I entered the room for my MRIs, Josh provided me with a warm blanket as I lay on the table. He also gave me earplugs to minimize the clunking sounds of the MRI. During the procedure he continued to be attentive, caring, and informative. At 3:15 we were done. I changed back into my street clothes, and walked to the parking garage - a short walk away - to drive home.

What a terrible place…read more.. This medical arts building has been there since about 1970. Not much money has been put into it in that time... The waiting area and the internal offices are depressing. This is not a confidence inspiring place. We were told to show up at 1pm, but we weren't taken until 2pm. There were lots and lots of people waiting, but few people being served. While our tech doing our MRI was great, I would never come back here again. They need to move to an updated facility and manage their wait times a lot better.

Once I checked in and sent to room 25...she already seemed crabby. I explained that I did not have my script. She argued with me to the point that I wanted to cry. "YOU DON'T NEED A MAMMOGRAM. " [she was trying to sell me something else] "I can't see you today since we have to review your insurance for the option B procedure." Go get your script and come back in two weeks!" Tears in my eyes, I said, "My doc only said mammogram." "AND, BTW! I need all of your records from 5+ years ago!!!" So - I immediately went to pick up the script. IT WAS FOR A ROUTINE MAMMOGRAM!!! Very user friendly operation if you're tech savvy. Almost everything is done online; no phone calls…read more or receptionists. They'll text you, send QRC's and you use a kiosk to check in. They're quick, usually pretty friendly and they do a very brisk business, as one would expect for a huge lab company. I've always gotten results in 24 hours or less. This place is on Belcher in a medical plaza just south of Sunset Point. It's kinda secluded and hidden from the road behind a row of big trees, so go slowly as you get near. Very barren, sterile waiting area, which no longer has a receptionist ever since the Rona came and went. Go to the kiosk, scan the QC code (they email it with a reminder), your ID, your insurance card. They'll also send texts and notifications to your phone if U enable them. As I said, if you're not tech savvy then you may be at a handicap. A lot of the older generation that comes here seems to get stumped at the kiosk, so bring your patience or just allow 'em to text you; EZ as anything that way!

My BP was very low at one appointment b4 a treatment and the Dr told me to call our primary to get advice as to what to do about it. My primary was shocked that Dr was unable to address this issue in that moment. MRI being scheduled but the paperwork was never sent over so it was cancelled. New treatment was started but no-one is checking to see how the reaction to the treatment is going, no follow up appointment until the next treatment 6 weeks away. Calling on a Monday with a concern about medications and not receiving a return call. I had to call again that Friday to get my answer. Cancer does not take Holidays off.

I originally started seeing Dr. Barzey in early 2021 after being extremely unwell since 2017 with…read morezero diagnosis. I had seen well over 30 different doctors and expressed to several of them that I'd felt like part of my health issues was my thyroid and I'd been exhibiting all the symptoms of hypothyroidism. None of them listened. They'd run tests and tell me that I'm fine. Even the Chief of Endocrinology at USF, a Harvard grad, told me I was a medical anomaly, that he couldn't do anything more to help me and sent me on my way. Dr. Barzey was the first doctor that made me like my complaints weren't being views as complaining and actually listened to me. After one visit and some testing, BOOM. Diagnosed with primary hypothyroid disease. And ironically enough, I've since gone back and looked through all my labs from 2017 up until I was diagnosed, and my thyroid labs had been consistently tanked. T4, T3 and TSH were all "normal" but only barely. I feel like any doctor who saw that all my labs were crazy low-normal should've done something to help me. The whole way lab testing is done where they take the lowest of the low and the highest of the high and if you're somewhere in between, you're normal.. that's gotta go in my opinion. It's keep so many chronically ill people undiagnosed and hopeless. I'd previously rated this clinic at 3 stars because while Dr. Barzey is phenomenal, the front desk staff was always extremely rude and treated me as if I were inconveniencing them when calling in or checking in and out for appointments. Their behavior was so bad that mid last year, I actually started having the nurse practitioner who I see for my hormones at a different clinic take over my thyroid maintenance since she did both. I was recently diagnosed with low blood pressure and the cardiologist that diagnosed me referred me to an endocrinologist. My hormone NP was honest in that she had no clue. So I thought about my amazing experience with Dr. Barzey and knew that if anyone can diagnose what's going on, it's her.. so I had my first appointment with her in over a year just recently. And I've gotta say, I was REALLY PLEASANTLY SURPRISED. All the front desk staff are the same, but they're all so nice, helpful and well, enjoyable. So I'll definitely continue coming back now. I'm really glad that issue was fixed cause Dr. Barzey is so amazing. And I never wanted to stop seeing her. I just felt so awful already with my health, that the frustration I was experiencing with the front desk previously wasn't worth it to me then. But even if they were still rude, Dr. Barzey is definitely worth dealing with this or that in order to see. Thank you SO MUCH DR. BARZEY. YOU SERIOUSLY CHANGED MY LIFE FOR THE BETTER AND I WOULDN'T BE AS WELL AS I AM TODAY IF NOT FOR THE CARE YOU GIVE TO YOUR PATIENTS!!!
