I'd heard about Full Circle through a friend, and when I stopped in, I was shocked at how expansive not only the physical size of the store is but their range in book selection. The store is beautifully decorated, and it's clear that the staff is very knowledgeable about local interest and insightful recommendations. If you don't ask someone on staff, you might not be finding what you're looking for. I was interested in the Percy Jackson series, and it wasn't in the adventure or young adult area, it was actually tucked away literally in a corner of the children's area. The box set was more expensive than the Amazon price, so I asked if they did price matching, and they declined. It's a store policy to not do so with competitors, which I guess makes sense. So sadly we left empty-handed with an Amazon order on the way. It felt bad to so do because I do like Barnes and Noble but I'd rather pay a higher price at a local bookstore than at a large box store, but we didn't have time to stop elsewhere. Archives would not try to resend the book, and tried to charge me a penalty. First they claimed my address was incorrect (i showed them on the USPS site where my address is verified), then they claimed that they could not deliver without a 9 digit zipcode (not true), then they claimed they couldn't resend the book without a totally different address. This was all via email - and they refused to take my call or call me back to discuss. I even offered to come pick up the book, but they would not do that without me paying a penalty. I confirmed with the USPS that Archives could have resent the book to me for no additional charge and gotten a refund of the shipping penalty, but Archives refused to do so. Their customer service is clearly written by a bot, and they have no interest in actually helping customers.
