Finally made it to Chanos!…read more Lots of stuff to look through! Hard part was it's 50/50 in items being labeled for pricing. Which is a little odd then when you make it to checkout/makes me personally not want to grab non-labeled items. Another customer told me you can kind of bargain/haggle the pricing but if that isn't something you're comfortable doing... Overall the price I was given for my total was my max I would have spent had she gone higher I would have asked her to individually note the prices so I could put one thing back. I personally would have priced it probably $5 less especially due to one of the items being a short basket that had some imperfections and I couldn't see it being valued for more than $3 based on average of other places I'd been. But it was an experience

I share similar sentiments with those who have mentioned that Chano's Warehouse feels overcrowded…read moreand picked over, likely due to its recent popularity on social media. I miss the days when parking wasn't a challenge, as the lot is now often packed. The space itself isn't the cleanest--pretty dusty, and some items, like the records, are heavily scratched and have an unpleasant smell. I understand that thrifting and vintage shopping often come with some wear and tear, especially in a space of this size, but compared to my favorite resale shops, it doesn't quite measure up. Additionally, the selection doesn't seem to rotate much, and I rarely find more than one or two worthwhile items. If there were a wider, more consistently refreshed inventory, I wouldn't mind the cleanliness issues as much--I love digging through things to find hidden gems. That said, the staff is very kind and friendly, and the prices are pretty reasonable, which is definitely a plus. Just a heads-up--these pictures are from my first visit, and after returning this past Saturday, I noticed that the stock hasn't changed much and feels more picked over compared to my initial trips.

Well well well ! Where do I start? I'm a sucker for leaving reviews when a place sparks my joy. I…read morewas here a few weeks back before close and even though I got what I was looking for (wooden laundry basket) I HAD to come back. This place is like a fun interactive adult museum. Getting to see so many curated spaces, touch a bunch of fabrics,be submersed in a piece of furniture. I came hear for their cookies! Left with 10 packs. The cutest packaged cookies I've ever seen with hearts for my tea parties. I'm ecstatic that they came out with a third flavor! Lemon Vanilla! I have yet to taste test. Also! 2 for $3 if you're an in ikea member instead of 2 for $5. The membership is free and they call you family after, so worth it and it's funny because you may not be related to your friend by blood but family through IKEA :) I seriously don't think I'll have room today to taste test after having their Swedish meatball lunch with linenberry juice. LINNENBERRY juice! I seriously love it. It's way better than cranberry juice, sweeter but more refreshing. It's an ikea thing. I also came for my snake plant (I heard they're impossible to kill:) ) got that! Got a breakfast in bed tray for my picnics. This place sparks up great convo with your friend and just great inspo all around if you're a visual person, such cute stuff. Some funky looking stuff, all quit practical. As someone who appreciates systems and inclusivity, you name it this place has got it down. Besides handi-capped parking there is parking for expecting mothers and parents with children! The bathrooms have complimentary toiletries. Staff is attentive. Finished off with the second meal place after checking out after we read a sign about free ice cream! :) who can pass that up, got a boat load of strawberry vanilla swirl. And a hotdog (for the experience) and had a complimentary cinnamon roll sample while we waited and figured out the self serve ordering kiosk.

Another thing I like is that there's usually someone in each department that you can ask for help. I think they have a nice selection of most of the basic items. I haven't bought any furniture, but the housewares I have bought for kitchen and bath are good quality and a good value.

This place stocks a lot of great, mint-condition stuff... most of it mid-century modern. Lamps,…read morecouches, full dining sets, home decor, tables, chairs... they've got lots and lots of great, pristine, old-timey stuff. R Vintage (N More) is hiding right next the Vanguard on KK. Only open sometimes, blink and you'll miss it. I really enjoyed perusing and taking it all in... they've got some really neat pieces, though nothing jumped out at me this visit as a "must have." And honestly, I couldn't help but feel like everything was priced just *a touch* too high. Totally understand paying for quality antiques in relatively perfect condition, but this spot felt almost like everything was priced $50-$100 above fair market value.

We wandered around R Vintage during the Bay View Bash - it's a lot bigger than the storefront…read moresuggests. If you're into 50-60's glass, lamps, décor and furniture this is absolutely a place you should be checking out. They've got tons of interesting barware, lamps shaped like flamingos, beer signs for your awesome basement bar and lots of tacky paintings. I was surprised by how much furniture they had - console tables, tons of side chairs and the kind of horribly patterned upholstered sofas that my grandma referred to as "davenports". Speaking of my grandma, I'm pretty sure she owned most of this stuff at some point, especially the matador figurines because bullfighting??? IDK, never could quite figure out what theme grandma had going on in her living room. Anyway, I'd agree with Rachel that the prices on stuff here seem to be higher than at other vintage/antique shops. I'm guessing the high amount of vintage-loving hipsters in BV are driving prices up. Also be aware that the shop is PACKED full, so it's not a great place for smaller kids.
