    Shrimp Alfredo
    Britney M.

Just okay... The shrimp Alfredo was not it. The sauce tasted like flour. Not buttery and cheesy like it should be. I hate it when places skimp on the ingredients for Alfredo sauce and it tastes gross. I did not like the Alfredo sauce on the shrimp Alfredo dish. The Caesar salad was decent. Nothing special though. I picked off the chicken and gave that to my dog to eat. My dog enjoyed the chicken. I ate the lettuce with dressing on it. My husband had the pasta with mushroom sauce, and the spicy fusilli dish. He liked the spiciness of the fusilli fish. He didn't care for the mushroom sauce though. It was bland tasting. Service seemed fine. Everything was delivered in brown bags, and had utensils. I can't speak on the ambiance, as I ordered for delivery.

    Truffle mushroom pasta with shrimp

Ordered them from DoorDash so I can't speak on ambiance or service. This is only going to be about the food. Ordered the truffle mushroom pasta, and let me tell you, the truffle smell was OVERBEARING. Like jeez, the SMELL! I was afraid that it would be mostly only truffle taste. Funnily enough, the pasta ended up barely having truffle taste. The oddest thing I can think of. Also got the mozzarella sticks. That? Delicious. Crispy as wanted. No cheese pull but the taste itself is good. Cost was a bit steep, but I understand that due to DoorDash. The portions were great. Solid place to get the Italian fix, but nothing more!

    Truffle Flat Bread

TDLR: It's better than what the yelp rating would suggest. It's not the best pasta but it's good enough for a return trip and a recommendation. Truffle Flatbread: Fragrant, filling, and fresh. The bread's crust held the whole thing well and the insides were chewy. The truffle taste stayed throughout the meal, and I think this is a classic combination done well. Cajun Chicken Pasta: It's rich, creamy, and contain a bit of heat. The sauce is just teetering over the point of being too much but is still cut down enough by the pasta. The chicken was plentiful and solid, and the portion is something I won't complain about. Service: It's a to-go spot, so nothing out of the ordinary happened when conversing with the staff. Ambiance: The place is in a food park. So it's breezy, parking isn't an issue, and there are options outside of this one to try.

    Yum!

The portion sizes are enormous and make this place a great value. My salad was made with fresh ingredients and my pasta dish tasted really good. I had a good amount of broken rigatoni, but it still tasted great. Most importantly, all of my coworkers food and sides were in our bag when delivered. Thank you so much for the attention to detail. I'd definitely order again.

Stopped by Al Dente during a recent trip to Steelcraft in Garden Grove and had a good first experience. They are the designated stop for Italian food on property and they do not disappoint. Our party was torn between building our dream pasta dish or ordering a flatbread, but since we were ordering several items from all of the vendors to eat and share, we went with a simple pepperoni flatbread. The staff was friendly and our order came out within a reasonable wait time given they were busy at Steelcraft that day. Our flatbread was everything to be expected in a good way. A nice, shareable size. A solid sauce to cheese ratio. Plenty of pepperoni. We were more than satisfied with this tasty and filling meal. The price was also very affordable for what we received. We would definitely return to Al Dente upon our next visit to Steelcraft in Garden Grove. I would love to create my dream pasta dish next time with the many options they have available.

Bbq chicken flatbread + pineapple + jalapeños

Seriously have never had a bad meal whenever we come here (and we come here a lot) and it's one of our faves at Steelcraft. Had the bbq chicken flatbread last week and added some pineapple (fight me) and jalapeños - love that they didn't charge for extra toppings. Crust, sauce, cheese, and everything about it was perfect! It was a beautiful day outside at Steelcraft and we couldn't have asked for better service and weather! Must try items imo: bbq chicken and margherita flatbreads, any of the pastas but especially the pesto creamy and pink sauces!

Build your own: spaghetti with meatballs and mushrooms

This is the second time I've eaten from their lil shipping container and it's good. I would eat here again, if I'm already here, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here for a craving. The service was quick. Under 10 minutes for my meal to arrive. The ambiance is cute. I would say it's all slightly above average and a bit pricey. We ordered the spaghetti & meatballs with mushrooms and everything seemed like an upsell. After it was all said and done, I think the price doesn't justify the atmosphere.

Visited in a whim with my sister and was pleasantly surprised! The pasta was delicious and the portion size was pretty decent! It's just pretty pricey for what you're getting, but it was pretty yummy! It's at Steelcraft so safe to say the vibe is always a good one! I'm not mad about it! Definitely considering giving them another try!

This dish was absolutely delicious. Ordered on door dash, charged long distance fee and it was still hot & fresh on delivery. Pasta cooked perfectly, sauce real tasty with right amount of heat. I'd definitely go back.

    Half mushroom truffle, half prosciutto
    matt g.

Half prosciutto half truffle mushroom pizza was just what the doctor ordered! I ordered a hef from the beer garden across the way and fried pickles from the chicken place. The pizza was balanced. The truffle oil wasn't too strong and the arugula was fresh. The prosciutto side could use a sweet balsamic reduction drizzle or just a little more pop. But all in all great pizza dough too.

    Cajun Pasta - large portions!

Steelcraft is a wonderful place for friends to hang out over drinks and many varieties of eats. There is ample parking around which is a huge plus! I have been to this pasta location and it does not disappoint!! The flatbreads are pretty delicious and filling. My friend ordered the Cajun pasta that came with breadsticks and I'm telling you... the breadsticks were INCREDIBLE!!!! Highly recommend trying this place out. The portions are large and very shareable for friends. They have a "build your own" pasta option which I'll definitely do next time! 10/10 recommend

The pasta that I packed for lunchtime at work.

This place is very delicious! I ordered the Build Your Own Pasta with rigatoni noodles, truffle cream, chicken, meatball, garlic, mushroom, sun-dried tomatoes, arugula, and truffle oil. It came out beautifully and tasted perfect. The flavors were perfectly balanced and it wasn't too overpowering of anything. You can definitely taste the quality in their food, especially in the meats! If you're in a hurry, I wouldn't recommend coming here because the wait for your food can be long, which is expected. Your pasta is being handcrafted, so it is worth the wait! The service I received was friendly. This is a place in the Steelcraft food court, there is plenty of comfortable seating. It is a nice place to be at with friends and family!

We were a little too trigger-happy with ordering (and everything wouldn't have fit in our table) but our server, Caitlyn, spaced everything to a tee. Started with the truffle bread. The honey is a must. As much as we loved it, I think it's better split among a bigger group (it was just the two of us). The crab roe pasta, the tomahawk porkchop were cooked perfectly. The star of the show for us was the seafood poke pizza. Instead of tomato sauce and traditional Italian toppings, the pizza leans toward sushi flavors: fresh seafood, creamy wasabi-infused sauce, seaweed, and sesame seasoning. The flavor profile is savory, slightly briny, creamy, and mildly spicy from the wasabi. It was a little unusual on the first bite, but it became increasingly delicious as we ate more of it. Highly recommending it for anyone looking for something out of the ordinary. Desserts : matcha berry tiramisu and the blueberry pavlova were . Drinks : lychee spritz and the sakura.

The restaurant was fairly quiet with maybe a few patrons inside. The patio had lawn chairs and bolted down tables. Not really a place I would've chosen but once we received the food and took a bite i didn't care about the chairs. The cheese pizza was so tasty, the mozzarella cheese pull looked like a commercial cheese pull. I don't usually care for cheese pizza but I loved it. We also tried the fried mozzarella sticks on a second visit, and those were just as good. It feels like they make their own fresh mozzarella. A friend of ours tried their chicken parmesan and devoured the whole plate. All in all, the food would definitely get me to come back. Also, they do allow dogs in the patio. This was a plus because we got to have lunch with our pup. We will definitely be back to try other things on their menu.
