Very friendly and efficient waiters and the food was reasonably priced and delicious. I had the friend mushrooms which were huge. And rigatoni Renato for dinner. I brought half of it home because it was so filling. Lots of chicken, mushrooms, and tomatoes in a creamy sauce. We've been going to Renato's for many years now because we love their food. The seafood pasta is cooked perfectly: the shrimps, scallops, and mussels are tender and fresh. The outdoor area is covered and has heaters. There's plenty of parking, it's in the CVS plaza. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a young lady. The decor transports you to a different place. You can see where they make the pizzas, which I can't wait to try. Our server recommended the Tuscany pizza. We were seated right away. Our server, Carlos, is the nicest, most attentive server ever. We loved him! Thank you for the awesome service, Carlos. He deserves a raise. He made us feel welcomed (they all did, but he was amazing), at home and answered our questions. I ordered the fettuccine al funghi con tartufi, it has mushrooms and truffle cream sauce. It was delicious. Im not sure if they make the pasta from scratch, but it certainly tasted like it. The sauce was just perfect, savory and creamy. I think adding chicken or shrimp would pair really well with this dish. Next time! My bf ordered the linguini alla pescatore. It has clams, scallops, shrimp and I think calamari with tomato sauce. It was good, I liked it. The portions are pretty decent. They also offer garlic bread. We stopped in again for dinner at this family-owned restaurant. They've been around for about 45 years and are a staple for Italian food in this community. I ordered the salmon and the others ordered the lasagne and linguine alla pescatore (seafood), paired with glasses of chianti wine. Parking can be hassle during peak times. Be warned: there's a security guard by US Bank is patrolling the area if there's an event a Seafood Paradise...directing all cars to park elsewhere. The place has an outdoor dinning area. Reservations is highly recommended for parties of 3 or more. Menu offers variety from appetizers, pasta, chicken and seafood and salad and pizza. Check out the daily specials that posted by the cashier. Soup of the day changes everyday according to the cashier. Portions are huge and complement for the pricing. Offer complimentary homemade garlic bread (olive oil and vinegar are offer through request only) Sodas are fountain. Pizzas are set and toppings can't be substituted unless you create your own pizza.Order the usual of calamari friti and Linguini alla Pescatore (seafoood with pasta) while friends order traditional spaghetti N meatballs and lasagna. Stuffed mushrooms were ok though the choice of sauce was interesting. It was like a cream of chicken flavor, when I'd expect a marinara pairing. Caprese salad was unavailable. Napkins and utensils were not provided, so we had to ask our hotel which does not offer food service after lunch. It was a disappointing experience after reading the rave reviews by recent customers and driving 40 minutes round trip to procure dinner. Truly a hidden gem in Westminster! A small family owned restaurant that serves incredible Italian food. My favorites were the Tuscan pizza add burrata and balsamic vinegar and the Farfalle aurora (pink sauce) with shrimp. Those were amazing!! The truffle pasta was good but those two were the stars of the show. I'd like to try the Rigatoni Renato next time as I imagine that is probably their specialty. Wow! I cannot believe this place exists in it's current environment! An awesome Italian food restaurant smack dab in the heart of Little Saigon? This hidden gem, is in a rather unassuming plaza off Brookhurst/McFadden, next to a CVS and Saigon City. I stopped by Renato's for lunch today, and had a great experience. Really cannot believe I've never eaten here before. Juan Carlos cheerfully welcomed me into the restaurant while I grabbed a menu to look over what to order. I opted for the Spaghetti and Meatballs, and a drink. The house bread is complimentary with entree. Food is made to order here - about 15 to 20 minutes from time that I ordered. While I was waiting (I opted to dine in) - countless customers walked in and out - and it seemed like they were regulars. It's always a good sign when you hear the friendly conversations between regular patrons and the staff - indicates that it's more of a neighborhood restaurant (and has that warm, wonderful atmosphere) rather than someplace you go to eat once in a blue moon. The Spaghetti and Meatballs was delicious. The pasta was al dente and there was a good ratio of pasta, sauce and meat. The homemade meatballs were larger than your typical meatballs - and each bite was rich and full of flavor. The house garlic bread - served with the spaghetti was wonderful, and soaked up the sauce for more flavor. Service is top notch. Juan Carlos checked in on me several times during my visit, offering refills on my soda or if I wanted more bread (I kindly refused since I had more than enough food). I did ask him about whether the restaurant would serve "Cioppino" again - since I had noticed photos of it on Yelp. He mentioned it's a special dish that is served on the weekends during the colder months - so I'm definitely looking forward to coming back to try that, since it's my favorite Italian/Seafood dish. Parking is easy - it's part of the massive lot shared by CVS and Saigon City, but there are also reserved spots for Renato's patrons upfront. Our office has been ordering the turkey meal from Renato's for Thanksgiving for years. It is surprisingly very good for an Italian restaurant. What we like best is they already de-boned the turkey and put it back together as a full turkey. Amazing! It's always delivered warm, and the cranberry sauce was so delicious warm. This establishment is probably one of the few left prior to pre-Little Saigon and still owned by the same family! Though, I've long moved away from my childhood home in Westminster, thought I would give Renato's a try again on my way from a massage down Bolsa. If you are looking for the classic family owned American-Italian food restaurant without going further down to HB then this is the place. The linguini clams was in a red sauce and tasty! Complimentary bread wasn't overpowered by garlic and the side order of salad was generous. A repeat stellar performance from Carlos and all the crew at Renato's Italian Restaurant and a positive testament to the younger family member having taking over from an elder that played piano and sang for us many moons ago. It was supposed to be a quick stop for us to get a pizza on the way home. But after the lovely missus and I sat down at a table and marveled at the wonderful Mediterranean Sea decor, and seeing the overhead monitor showing the colorful hills and villages of Tuscany from above, it was an easy decision to have our pizza in the restaurant. Renato's glass of Sangria wine was a good start while we waited for our half and half of Canadian Bacon and mild Italian Sausage. We also ordered a side each of the Renato Spaghetti which came promptly. This side dish immediately reminded me of my experience on an Italian passenger ship where such a side dish of Spaghetti was served morning, noon and night and any time in between. We were happy with the well made meaty proteins on top of the melting cheese and a swirling base of a savory tomato sauce. I loved the crusty edges of the round pizza pie. Yes, the left over couple of slices of our pizza was boxed up to take home. A wonderful impromptu dining experience at Renato's. read more

Big fan of the amount of mushrooms on the dish, it was a lot. Loved how thin the noodles were. In terms of flavor, it was a little on the bland side. Good sized pizza, the dough was crispy on the bottom. However the toppings all slid off the top at the beginning. It takes the kitchen a while to make each pizza. Was excited to try the bread basket, but it seemed like every table except ours was getting some. They make it fresh, so there's only so much they can give out at a time.
