10/10 Calamari Fritti - I really loved this calamari! It's such a great mix of different pieces, and it's clearly high quality. I'm definitely ordering this again next time. It also comes with two different sauces that are both incredibly flavorful and compliment the calamari perfectly. 10/10 Papardelle Vodka -This is truly the best pasta in all of the land! It's rare to find a dish where the sauce, the pasta, and the protein are all this high quality. Everything is literally perfect. 10/10 Complimentary Bread -I love that this restaurant serves complimentary bread! It's so freaking good and the quality is amazing. It comes with an oil and vinegar dip that pairs perfectly. Honestly, it's hard to stop eating it. Don't fill up too much before the main course! Cost - Calamari $17.00, Pappardelle Vodka $22.00 (Before taxes and tip).

La Tavolata in Artesia is probably my favorite place for spaghetti and meatballs. What makes it outstanding is that their noodles are clearly house made. The spaghetti has an outstanding chew to it. Their meatballs are made of veal, which gives a nice savoriness. Calamari tastes freshly breaded with chewy rings and crispy legs. My wife loves their pappardelle vodka, which has a craveable sauce over their freshly prepped noods. Overall, I think that La Tavolata is probably the best pasta place that people just don't know about.

The food was incredible. Service was amazing & the setting of the restaurant was just right. I absolutely loved this place. The spaghetti carbonara is out of this world!

Went back to La Tavolata on a date for the first time in a while. I'm biased, Italian food is my favorite so I love this place. Reasonably priced pasta dishes. Ordered some appetizers and a bottle of Chianti. The servers were kind, pleasant, and professional. We had reservations but didn't seem like there was a wait and it was mostly packed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very pleasant and nicely lit vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you're looking for a pasta evening, I highly recommend trying this place out at least once.

I found my new favorite local Italian spot! We made a reservation for a Friday evening and were seated upon arrival. After ordering, they brought us some of their garlic bread with bruschetta on top. They also give you a little dish of olive oil and balsamic vinegar. The bread was yummy, and I love that you can ask for more! I was eyeing the Spaghetti alla Cammorista that has spicy tomato sauce and chile-garlic shrimp. I wasn't sure how spicy it would be, so our server said they could adjust the spice level to make it less spicy. She also said she would bring some chili flakes on the side in case I wanted to add more spice. It wasn't spicy at all, so I don't think ordering it as is would be too spicy! I appreciated how much shrimp they gave in this dish! The sauce was tasty, and you could tell that the pasta was freshly made. They also bring your parmesan cheese to add in if you'd like. Another dish that seems to come up over and over again on reviews is their Fettuccini Compleanno. It has spicy pink sauce shredded chicken, Andouille sausage, tasso ham, and shrimp. I can definitely see why this one is popular--its so good! The pink sauce is the perfect blend of acidity and creaminess. I enjoyed the variety of ingredients as well. Will definitely be ordering this one again! The servers are friendly and attentive, and we were checked on frequently throughout the meal. Looking forward to coming back again!

La Tavolata has been my go-to for handmade pasta since they opened in Cerritos years ago, so this visit was a bit surprising. I ordered my usual Pappardelle Vodka, but the noodles were overcooked, and the sauce was very milky/lacking flavor. It's normally perfectly balanced, so this was unexpected. We also tried the Scaloppine de Pollo al Limone (similar to a chicken piccata dish). The chicken was juicy, and the sauce had amazing flavor, but the pasta tasted more like ramen noodles than spaghetti, which threw us off. Still giving this 4 stars since this is the first time this happened, and I'm thinking it was just an off day.

The restaurant is small with a cozy, intimate, and homey vibe. They are known for their authentic, fresh hand made pasta. Staff were nice and friendly but slow. Our server seemed distracted and/or overwhelmed. We started with garlic bread with bruschetta and a side of olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Good but a bit hard. We ordered: 1) Penne alla Salsiccia: penne pasta with pink sauce, chicken and sausage. 6/10. Chicken was a bit dry. Less meat but a lot of pasta. Taste alright. (I could have sworn my friend ordered the Pappardelle Vodka) hmm 2) Spaghetti alla Carbonara: 5/10 the noodles were overcooked instead of el dente. It was soggy and too creamy that it made my experience disappointing. 3) Chicken dish Scaloppine di Pollo al Limone: 5/10. The chicken was very dry. Taste was not appetizing. Experience was disappointing. 4) Spaghetti ai Frutti Di Mare: 7/10. Combination of clams, mussels, and Shrimps. Our experience was very mediocre. A bit disappointing. I was looking forward for some Italian delicacies. Im not sure if i want to come back. They're not that cheap either

This place is absolutely perfect! We ordered three different types of pasta and they were all so delicious! Our waitress was so friendly it really made the experience that much better. We found this place on a whim after a long day at Knott's and [[HIGHLIGHT]]I cannot get over how cute the little spot was.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Located in a plaza with lots of parking!

If you want amazing Italian type home cooking this is the place. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Location is very small prices are reasonable and it's always crowded.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Try to make a reservation beforehand for large parties. Ask for the offer menu item called Sheila's pasta it combines all three sauces and it taste amazing.

Ordered the house red wine, calamari, fettuccine compleanno, tortellini, spaghetti all'amatriciana, and tiramisu. The house red wine tasted great and was a good deal, and al the pastas were awesome. The calamari was pretty good and the tiramisu was ok. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, great experience with cozy atmosphere and great service.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Parking in the lot was pretty easy on a Thursday night. Truly a gem in the neighborhood!

Overall, every plate was cooked with love and well-balanced ingredients. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibe of the La Tavolata crew this evening was vibrant and joyful to be around.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I highly recommend going early, on a Thursday evening to avoid a long wait time. But it is also worth the wait, in my opinion. Tiramisu: A soft and moist sponge-like bite with silky layers of thick sweet mascarpone cream. The slow-dripping thick chocolate and drizzle of raspberry sauces pairs well together. ((Make sure you save room for dessert!!!)) Burrata Toast: A crunchy hearty bite of toast topped with creamy layer of burrata cheese. The splash of balsamic along with the cherry tomato and basil is a party in your mouth. Pesce di Giorno: The salmon was thoughtfully pan seared with a naturally crunchy layer of skin and moist texture. The plate includes smooth and crunchy bursts of green beans. The saffron risotto was perfectly cooked--soft, thick, and lemony. All topped with a drizzle of lemony and creamy aioli--a party on the pallets. Overall, the La Tavolata crew's energy makes it a welcoming and heart-warming experience.

This is my new favorite local Italian restaurant. The interior is very homey and simple. My party of 6 easily made reservations a week in advance for a weekend dinner, but I think the wait time can be up to 45 minutes. Fairly small on the inside, so if you have a larger party than 4 I'd recommend making a reservation. They bring complimentary bread to your table while you wait for your food. We ordered the calamari, caesar salad, and caprese salad. Everything was good, but the caesar was a bit too salty. I ordered the Penne alla Salsiccia, which is penne pasta with pink sauce, chicken, and Italian sausage. It's my favorite dish from here. Others in my party ordered the Frutti Di Mare spaghetti, lasagna, fettucine alfredo, and more. Everything was good. Service was nice too. They consistently checked on us, refilled waters, and cleared plates. Highly recommend this pasta for great pasta, a nice ambiance, and friendly service.

Really good! The pasta tastes authentic and is surprisingly really tasty! I would pass on the seasonal(?) menu that they have, like the risotto, and stick with the classic stuff. The papardelle vodka was soooooo tasty. My frutti di mare was honestly pretty mid which I was disappointed by. The sauce tasted like ramen..

    Is there any vegan options?

No. I am pretty that the homemade pasta has egg or some type of dairy product that isn't vegan friendly. They can possibly make you a veggie dish but that would ruin the Italian experience of wanting pasta.

    Which pastas are homemade fresh?

All of them, I recommend the lasagna

    Do they have lunch specials?

    Yes they do

What is the wine corkage fee?

Wine Corkage Fee at La Tavolata is $10

Can we bring our own wine, and what is the corkage fee?

Last time I checked, wine Corkage Fee at La Tavolata is $10

    Do they take reservations?

Yes, they do and I don't think the group size matters. I have booked reservations for just 2 people before.

Do they do any celebration for birthdays?

Nope! They make you pay for your birthday dessert.

Do they allow you to bring your own bottle? Do they have a corkage fee?

Yes you are allowed to bring in your own bottle. The corkage fee is minimal, I believe maybe $15 at most. We have brought in a bottle a couple of times with no problems :)

Parking: They're located in a high foot traffic plaza, so finding a parking spot can be difficult. Ambiance/Environment: They have a small space with a decent amount of indoor seating. The tables and seats were kept clean. There's cute decor from the ceiling as well. This is the type of spot where you'd bring your family with younger kids for something sweet, while the adults sit and talk. When we visited, my family and one other family pretty much took up all the tables lol. Service: There was only one worker behind the counter serving and making the drinks and desserts. She doesn't acknowledge anyone. It wasn't too busy, but throughput took a while since she was by herself. There's two kiosk to order from. You don't really interact with the worker until she brings out your order. Desserts & drinks: We ordered a mixture of almost everything. We noticed there were a few menu items that were out of stock. I ordered a mango pamelo sago, my sister ordered a brown sugar boba milk tea, my cousin ordered an americano, and my other cousin ordered a strawberry & cream eggette. I thought the mango pamelo sago was okay; the mango flavor was lacking except for the actual mangos. There was plenty of sago, but I thought this dessert was underwhelming. My sister thought the boba was okay bc it had an interesting texture, and the drink itself was lightly sweet than what she's used to. My cousin thought the coffee was okay. The only thing we all enjoyed was the eggette. It's a bubble waffle with ice cream and fresh fruits, which is pretty difficult to mess up. Pricing: Prices are pretty high for the portions offered. Overall, the desserts were underwhelming and some didn't meet our expectations. The eggettes are most likely the only thing we'll come back for.

We came in around 730pm on a Monday night and there were a few tables taken. I thought that was a good sign since it was kind of cold tonight...if people are choosing to come here on a cold night, there must be a reason why! When we walked in, there was a gal at the counter, but was on her phone. Barely looked up to greet us, which wasn't a big deal since there are kiosks for you to order, but what I thought was kind of strange was she didn't bother trying to help us when we kept saying out loud "there are no photos of this or that" literally just on her phone and not trying to explain any of their menu items. The kiosk set up is on top of the counter, so we were asking these questions right in front of her. Lol. Made me wonder what the point of her sitting there was. Might as well have been in the back to watch whatever she was watching on her phone to make things less awkward. Luckily both our desserts were fine, but I did not appreciate having someone sitting at the counter only to let you know they don't care if 1) it's your first time there, 2) are confused by some of their dessert names, and 3) photos are missing for many of their items listed in the kiosk. The tables were dirty, my bag got wet from whatever was left from the previous party. Not cool. If the service (or lack there of) was better and tables clean I may have rated this place higher. Though the desserts were decent, not I'll be back. ** Warning Auto Tip: I noticed when I got home that they added a 12% tip to my total. There was no option to get a printed receipt nor was there a step to review ANY tip. I've never experienced such a thing, especially when this is a self service/pick up cafe **

One thing they have always been consistent about is the quality of their turon--and unfortunately, the long wait times as well. There have been several occasions when we had to pay and come back later because of the high demand for their product. Because we live about 30 miles away, we were advised to place our orders by phone before making the trip, which is exactly what we've been doing. Yesterday, however, we experienced one of the most inefficient customer service experiences we've ever had. We called multiple times to confirm our order, and the staff who answered assured us not to worry because they had plenty available and that our order would be ready when we arrived. When we got there, the exact opposite happened. We were told they had run out of turon and that we would need to wait another hour. While discussing the situation with the cashier, we watched another staff member assist the customer behind us, who purchased 60 pieces. We had preordered only 30 pieces, yet somehow they were able to fulfill that larger order while failing to honor ours. Poor customer service will eventually drive customers away. Yes, the product is excellent, but there will come a time when the product alone is no longer enough to keep customers coming back. Given the popularity of their business, they should be focusing on improving their customer service and honoring preorders to maintain customer loyalty. Good products attract customers, but good service keeps them.
