    Food truck
    William H.

Anytime I am in High Point I drive by the gas station to see if this food truck is open......even if I have already eaten. I always need to take some home and a LARGE container of their rice pudding! Located on N. Main Street in the parking lot of a Mobil Gas Station, you can see this Orange truck from the street. Every dish on his menu is pictured on the truck and I can say I have tried half of them and never been disappointed. Whether it's chicken, lamb, gyro, everything is seasoned and cooked perfectly. The last touch is their homemade sauces and you can ask for none, a little or extra. The flavors of the proteins mixed with their rice is just amazing. And DO NOT leave without getting some of their velvety, smooth rice pudding with a hint of cinnamon.......OMG.....I thought my Latino family made the best, well I was wrong! The owner is polite and service is quick. Some people will eat in their cars. He use to have two tables by the truck but I have not seen them lately. It is a gas station and you will see some weirdos around at times but there are always customers around as he is very busy with orders. If you're around or after a baseball or soccer game, stop by. You won't be disappointed as this is the most traditional Halal food I have had since NY.

I think i found a hidden gem! This unassuming food truck at the mobil has station hit the right spot with me from the get go. Stopped by one night when we were hungry and wanted something quick cheap and delicious and this was on our way and was PERFECT! It is a typical halal cart with basic chicken lamb and falafel dishes in gyro platter or kabab form. The service was pretty quick, i ordered and left un 6 mins. The owner was pretty nice, he spoke hindi so i hit it off with him right away. He suggested the food i got and i loved it. The hot sauce was delicious (actually hot) with whote sauce toppings. The pricing was great, I got two meal worth of food for just $8 and I am sire rest of the items were similarly prized too. You can never go wrong with this place, i will be back for sure!

I must have driven past this food truck a hundred times before I finally paid it a visit. It was enough to make me wish I had stopped much sooner. Al-Falah offers a combination of Pakistani (chapli kabobs, chicken tikka, samosas), Middle Eastern/Mediterranean (gyros), and American (hot dogs and cheesesteaks) sandwiches and entrees, all made fresh to order. Expect a ten or so minute wait. Prices aren't posted, but my chapli kabob over rice came out to $10. It ended up being quite a bit of food for the money, and while not quite on-par with the best Middle Eastern or South Asian in the area, it was still very tasty. The meat was well-seasoned and the white sauce made for a nice complement. If offered spicy sauce, be forewarned that it lives up to its name. If you made my mistake of passing Al-Falah by without a second thought, let a gyro or kabab be your penance. You won't regret it.

This is my second time here, and both times, ordered the chicken over rice. Today was a little off, the chicken was a little burnt and the rice just wasn't fresh. It was still good, but not as great as the first time I visited. I think this is due to the busyness of the food truck. Today (Thursday afternoon) the food truck didn't have much traffic while the first time I visited (on the weekend), it was quit busy. While your wait time might be extended, it could be a great idea to go on a busier day!

Love this place. It is as close to The Halal Guys in NYC as you can get. Portion is very decent and the food always came out really tasty. I always get the mixed plate with a side of samosa or falafel. Highly recommended!

    You should stop here!

Just what I was craving and expected. Huge portions for the cost. Recommend asking for the sauce on the side if you are conscious of making healthy choices and sauce intake. Note that the kabaab tikka was the perfect level of smokey and spicy.

Al-Falah Kabab & Gyro was parked at the Speedway at 3010 N. Main Street in High Point last week when I stopped by for lunch. I don't know if that is there regular spot or not as it was my first time there. I ordered the lamb gyro and fries. He said "ten minutes," and that made me happy, because I knew the food was going to be fresh and hot! I was not disappointed with the lamb gyro. The fires were so so, and I wouldn't get them again, but the lamb gyro was flavorful and plentiful, two things I love. I would have liked to see some prices on the outside where the dishes are listed, or at least a chalkboard with prices. The lamb gyro and fries cost me $11, and that's not bad with the way prices are today. I highly recommend dropping by when you see their bright orange truck. Totally worth it.

First off, this isn't just a random food truck. There is such an incredible story behind it. It's run by Gary and his best friend Alex, who have been friends since grade school back in Mexico City, Mexico!! You can feel that deep history in the way they run their business. There's a level of trust, energy, and authenticity that you don't usually see, and it trickles down to the entire team!!!Every employee I interacted with was genuinely happy, welcoming, and proud to be there (which says a lot) especially during these times. They've also set themselves up in some of the best spots around. I visited : 1) Summerfield Farms. 2) Oden Brewing Company. At both locations, you're not just grabbing food, you're getting a whole experience! Plenty of parking, plenty of seating, and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay awhile. Live music, dog friendly. The menu is simple, affordable, and done right. We got to try 4 different tacos, their queso dip, and their churros, and everything delicious! The meat was seasoned to perfection, super juicy, and full of flavor without being overcomplicated. But what really made this experience unforgettable? I got invited onto the truck to make my own churros!! let me tell you, that is not something you get to do every day. It was hands-on, fun, and honestly one of the most unique experiences I've had, collaborating with another business. By the end of it, it didn't even feel like a transaction anymore, we became friends! Taco Bros isn't just serving food, they're building up thier community. And that's something you don't come across often.

Overall the truck seemed very clean and hygienic for a food truck. The staff was incredibly friendly and organized. The food came out quickly and was piping hot. The prices are a bit high which is common for food trucks. Guac and chips was $10 and the chicken quesadilla was $14. One thing that would have been a nice touch was Jarritos. The chicken quesadilla was good but could have used a bit more seasoning. It was good sized and stuffed full of chicken, onions, peppers, and cheese. Overall we enjoyed Taco Bros and would definitely try them again at another event.

We stopped by their brick and mortar location about 4pm on a Saturday which is located at 5002 High Point Road in Greensboro. They have limited hours. They are closed Sunday, Monday and Tuesday and open from 2pm to 8pm the rest of the week. We were very surprised when we walked inside. It was nothing like we anticipated. There were no tables. It is located in a small strip mall where everything looks similar on the front with the signs above the establishments. We actually thought we walked into the wrong place, the walls were black with chairs around the perimeter and the center completely open. There were a couple of framed Chicago Bulls posters on the wall and one TV mounted on the wall near them. There were three posters with inspirational messages on them and a drink cooler. Someone came to the counter shortly after we walked inside. All items are packaged to-go. The menu was on the counter where you place your order with the register next to it. After checking out the menu, we thought the prices were high but we had anticipated that based on other reviews. We each decided on The Original Mac for $15 each. We had a seat at two of the chairs against the wall. No one else entered or left while we were there. Less than 15 minutes after we placed our order, we were provided with our to go order. The bag felt very heavy and we proceeded to our car to check them out. After opening and distributing everything which was very nicely packaged, we opened the containers. The top was a little hard as if it had been baked in an oven. After breaking through the top, the inside was very creamy with hot penne pasta mac and cheese and bacon crumbles. It was delicious! This is some of the best mac and cheese we have had. Although this was pretty amazing, the cost feels like too much for the masses and the physical location definitely needs some work. We may be back, but this will not be a regular visit. There are too many other places out there to try.
