From the initial moment he walked in the door, he spouted his opinions about another Children's Hospital that has just opened in the area, stating how their computer system is flawed, how maybe in 10-20 years they will be a good hospital. This had absolutely NOTHING To do with the care of our child, and he also brought up how since "republicans took over" the healthcare funding got messed up, AGAIN with a topic like politics which have absolutely no place in the care of our child, also his viewpoint was offensive to us. He mentioned specifically how millions of dollars of tax money needed to be donated to fund the children's hospital. When he finally started to discuss the matter we made the appointment for our daughter about, he'd been ignoring her the whole time when he when was on his tangent, name dropping how he went to events with the CEO of Mercy and Arkansas Childrens Hospital, conversation we had absolutely no desire to be a part of. We were concerned that our 5 year old daughter had a UTI, and he quickly said her urine test came back normal, then he listened to her lungs and felt her tummy. After he was done with this he leaned close to her and whispered in her ear "I'm gonna have to look at your bottom" which she immediately responded in absolute terror to. I as the mother was NEVER consulted or given the reason he needed to do this, and the manner in which he gave her this scary news was all wrong. No man has ever looked at her privates and we have taught her to protect her body and that she is in control of what happens to her body. This was absolutely not the case and the doctor said nothing to me about it beforehand, also did not bring in a female nurse to help my daughter feel comfortable with the situation at all. My daughter was screaming and crying about how she was so scared and absolutely did not want it to happen, Dr Youngblood looked at her and said "I know you don't want it to, but This IS going to happen" during this time I was trying to comfort my daughter and Dr Youngblood told my husband how his nieces expose themselves without hesitation, again very inappropriate information to be sharing, he then told me to hold her on my lap while he forcefully pushed her legs back, exposing her vagina and anus, all while she was screaming and crying in protest saying "No don't do it, stop". He then proceeded to talk about the possibility of pinworms and trying to give a lesson on how to wipe after urination, but at this point I had no interest in anything he had to say. All I could focus on was my daughter sobbing into my chest, and she hid her face in her blanket, and it felt like she had totally been violated. When I've gone to the Dr with UTI symptoms myself as a grown woman, they've checked my urine only - and if a physical exam was needed a female would have performed or at least been present for the examination and I would NEVER allow myself to be forced to expose myself in the manner which happened to my daughter. He then told us pinworms would be present 2 hours after she goes to sleep, if she has them at all, not in the middle of the day, so he didn't even see anything and seemed he was making a guess, leaving us to wonder why he had to look at all? I've never felt my trust so violated by a Doctor, and not only will I never ever be going to this office again - I will tell everyone I know to steer clear of Dr Youngblood. His bragadocious, political agenda pushing, forceful, inappropriate behavior is absolutely unacceptable and I will never take my daughter to him again.

My scheduled time was 3:30 and granted I was maybe 3 minutes late. I had filled out all paperwork online and did not remember at the time that back in December they told me to arrive 30 minutes early. Their reminder text I got yesterday said "see you at 3:30." Nothing about arriving 30 minutes early or they would 100% cancel my appointment and reschedule it. The office person said she would go ask if they would still see me and came back minutes later and said no. If this is how they treat their patients, I don't think I want to ever go there. Not very flexible or understanding. The office seemed nice and the people did seem nice. I just feel like better communication was needed in their text reminders for new patients. Now I will have to find another place and who knows how long their wait will be. So disappointed.

Feel slightly better as my fever broke but not 100% me yet. Kept drinking water and staying hydrated as they told me I should as I walked out the door. Right home back to bed. Next day I feel like I can run a marathon! So glad I went here over the old ritual of over the counter crap wondering if it will actually work this time or just make me worse till I need antibiotics from a trip to my usual scrip or surgery writing see me a whole 45 seconds after a 2 hour wait doctor. Yes that old method is done! This is my go to place for not only when feeling like crap, but now my preventative measure place! They even have a protocol for a pre vacation or night out of bad eating and drinking that can make life a lot more enjoyable with more energy and less payback later.
