Located in an outer neighborhood (you can take a bus from Pizazza Venezia to within a couple of blocks of the restaurant), we had a late reservation but entered to find the comfortable main rooms still active and lively. When our waiter realized we spoke English, he sought out the owner who helped us navigate the large menu of choices and with his encouragement, we made a meal of primarily the restaurant's starters. We had crudos and tartares, raw clams, and plates of fish and vegetables. The food was extraordinary. Probably the best seafood I've ever had, and I grew up on the New England coast and now live in NYC -- I think I know fish. We also enjoyed a delicious Sardinian wine and ended the meal with the owner's treat of two small glasses of a strawberry liqueur, house-made. Our only regret was that it was our last day in Rome and couldn't return to try more things on the menu. We appreciated the restaurant's friendliness, helpful service, and most of all, the superb fish and shellfish. If I can't travel to Sardinia, I can only hope to return soon to Rome so we can eat at Eleonara d'Arborea again.

They are known for the best Truffle anything anywhere. lol. A little tricky to find and very small. Maybe 6 or 7 tables at most. I was surprised when I read the Yelp reviews that a few of my awesome Yelpers also dined here too and gave high marks so I was very excited to give them a try. After ordering some tasty vino we went the Focaccia with mozzarella, black truffle with a truffle cream sauce. The Focaccia was lite and a thin crust. Topped with some delicious mozzarella and black truffle made this appetizer and home run choice. After the Focaccia I decided to stay on theme and went with the Fettuccine al tartufo nero e porcini (fettuccine black truffle & porcini mushrooms). Holy cow, a delicious culinary delight. Some other hits of the table included the beef fillet with green pepper sauce & Digione mustard. Astice grigliato, verdure al vapore e maionese alla curcuma (Grilled lobster with steamed veggies in a mayonnaise turmeric sauce and a Lasagna, tartufo nero, funghi, mozzarella e grana (lasagna with blach truffle, mushrooms, mozzarella and Parmesan cheese) All were just amazing. Impeccable service and an old world Italian charm decor made this a delightful experience.

I liked it so much though that I will make it a pilgrimage next time I am anywhere in the city. When I counted up the diners around me, I liked my odds for having an authentic experience. I was the only tourist in the place. It is tucked into a small plaza surrounded by residential buildings so you are unlikely to walk by this spot unless you are trying to navigate to it. The owner is an imposing large guy but immediately friendly and speaks good English. He welcomed me as a single walk-in and made sure that I received a good meal. I came here primarily because of 2 things that are Roman cuisine ingredients but not found on all area restaurant menus: Bottarga and Oxtails. I suspect that they may not be popular with foreign tourists so it is likely harder to find these items at restaurant spots closer to the tourist districts. Here, they were available daily and on point. Really great comfort foods for those in the know that like these kinds of flavor profiles and textures. I also enjoyed the small, intimate feel of the dining room with some interesting and quirky decor (a wooden tree grows in the room!) and the depth of the menu is outstanding. People around me ordered some grilled calamari, fresh fish dishes, and several types of pastas. All looked just as good as mine which gives me plenty of excuses to come back here again in the future. If I was staying another day, I would repeat this lunch visit tomorrow because yes, it was just that good!

I first visited this place back in 2015 when I visited Rome for the first time, and my experience was OK, I then decided to come back nine years later after hearing they continue to offer gluten-free options, due to having limited time before heading back to the Airport to find anything else. The gluten-free pizza base is quite good, it's a thin Roman-style base which was pretty tasty, on my recent visit I ordered a gluten-free Margherita pizza, and while the sauce/cheese didn't taste as good nor as fresh as others I've had, it was still pretty good. The staff seemed friendly enough however the place certainly didn't feel authentic, it is obviously aimed at tourists visiting the Fountain. Service was a little slow but I'd rather they take time to cook it with care, especially being gluten-free than rush the food and potentially make me sick or mess up the quality. 3* - OK, It wouldn't be my first choice to visit but is certainly a reasonable option if you have limited time and are willing to pay a little more than you would elsewhere for the convenience.
