He called me 1/2 hour before he was going to show up and the timing worked perfectly. I tried saving some money and doing it myself and going the Home Depot way. Tony fixed my problem, secured my door (and my neighbours too), and had such a cheery attitude I don't think I could even consider going some place else. When I got my bill, I thought it would cost more. In the end, adding all the costs of trips to Home Depot, and having failing equipment I just wish I had called them in the first place. June 2019: I bought a used car that only came with one immobilizer key. Replacements were…read moreridiculously expensive at a dealer ($350 all in) so I got a 2 pack of replacements on Amazon for $100. I called Precision to see about getting the new keys cut and programmed, got a quote and made an appointment to bring in the car and keys. Khalil was awesome; first he confirmed that the chips in the new keys matched the original then he cut the keys. Programming the keys to the car took only a few minutes then he fine tuned the cuts to make sure the keys worked smoothly in the locks. I paid exactly what I was quoted and have two more keys for about half the price of one at a dealer. March 2020: I bought another car that came with only one, non-factory key. This is just a basic key that I could have copied at any hardware store but I had a good experience here before so I thought I'd come back. Rather than simply copying the old key, they did some decoding of the cuts and then cut new ones from the code. Amazingly the new keys work better than the old one and it was only $11 for the pair. I seriously doubt I would get that at a hardware store! These guys really know their stuff!

The Universe has a perverse sense of humor and our problems started. I had a "vanity" key pattern I really liked. I found something close. Got it cut at Lowes. It worked in the new side door lock but not the front door. Then we discovered that one of the keys that came with the new lock also didn't work in the front door. I ordered a keyblank like the one I prefer. We tried a (different) locksmith in Everett. He cut the key, it didn't work, he declared the blank "junk" and said "throw it away. He cut me an aluminum key; half of the teeth were missing. We also had a lot of communication problems. We tried another Everett locksmith who claimed they had a blank like I wanted in stock. They didn't. I was frustrated. Today we tried Everett Lock and Safe. They: recut and filed the two almost-working keys to work in the front door AND cut me two working keys with the blanks I like. Extra points for no communication issues. If we need a locksmith or to have another key cut, this is where we will go! 10 stars!

Jackie was able to attend the site the same day mere moments after I called, and re-keyed our locks so the stolen key would no longer work. I was in a huge panic to think that a stranger had access to my personal information, but Jackie was very kind and reassuring and made me feel better about the ordeal. He explained that this sort of situation routinely happens to many people and that the mistake of leaving registration papers and spare keys in a parked vehicle is not out of the ordinary.
