I was a little weary of tapas so tried this Italian restaurant in Sevilla. It was excellent! We didn't have reservations however they were able to seat us as long as we were done in an hour. No problem. I chose the beef lasagne. It was made with 5 layers of homemade pasta. That combined with the ricotta and sauce made this dish sing. Also tried the pasta with seafood. This dish had clams, mussels, scallops, langoustine in a light sauce, and was distinguished by layers of flavor from the tomatoes, seafood, and fresh basil. The restaurant is nice and a little upscale. Service was wonderful. read more

We went to their restaurant because it had both gluten-free and regular options. They have a separate GF menu with tons of options. I had a vegetarian GF pizza, which was fantastic. Almost as good as in Rome. My family had pizza with gluten and said it was "solid". The GF tiramisu was very good. I was also happy to see an extensive wine list and be able to order a nice bottle of Valpolicella. The outside area where we sat was really lively and fun. read more

Street style restaurant near several touristy sites in Seville. The outdoor tables were inviting and the weather was perfect for outdoor dining. The restaurant has misting tubes on the canopy to promote cooling on hot sunny days. I selected a pizza with pepperoni and a pint of a local brew. Pizza came with spicy oil vs the red crushed peppers we are used to in the States. In fact, the oil method tasted better than crushed red peppers. Service was good and the servers had a limited amount of spoken English to assist you with menu selections. I left with a takeout box and found a hungry person who gladly accepted my leftovers at the front of the Aldi grocery store. read more

Al Solito Posto is not exactly the spot that you would stumble upon while .traveling in Sevilla, it is not near the main attractions an took bit of a walk to get to that side of town which we did gladly to find gluten free Italian food. We were promptly sat in a table outside on a lovely patio overlooking a plaza. The servers asked about food intolerances and immediately changed the place mat of my companion to one that clearly indicated his gluten free preference and provided two baskets of bread to accommodate each of us. We shared the Burrata for an appetizer which was really really good and super creamy, covered in spices and olive oil and a Gluten free pizza which had a very well made crust and fresh ingredients. I emphatically recommend checking it out, food intolerances or not, the service was great and all the staff were attentive. Bonus points because everyone spoke English and the menus had English translations. It is the Gluten Free tourist paradise. read more

A charming Italian restaurant in the heart of Alameda. The staff were pleasant, the decor is nice without being fancy, the atmosphere was quite relaxed. I think it's a good choice for a date or a meal with friends. English is spoken by the staff & menus are available in English (great for Guiris who don't speak Spanish). The food was tasty, the presentation was fairly basic, the specials sounded impressive (trompeta de muerte pasta!) In the end I went for a calzone, which was good. My mum & her partner both enjoyed their pasta dishes & wine. It came to just over €40 for 3 with wine & service, which is pretty reasonable. If you're looking for a generous bowl of pasta or a pizza, then I'd recommend trying Al Solito Posto. read more

Ok so I remember this place was super hard to find somehow because the sign was hidden, my husband and I almost gave up a few times but SO glad we didn't. This is upscale Italian, perfect for a nice dinner out. The prices were much less than they would have been in NY or NJ, which was nice. When we told the wait staff we were gluten free, they replaced our table mats with black ones that had a huge sign to show we were gluten free diners, which was very impressive. They brought out dinner rolls and olive oil which we both miss! (It's the simple things!) We ordered pizza and gnocchi. Gnocchi was very filling so I would suggest you share it if you do get it. Also a tip for first time Spain travelers: Apparently, they don't believe in packing up dinner for you. So, if you don't like wasting food (which we hated!) definitely take into account and order accordingly. For dessert, do not forget to get Tiramisu, it was AMAZING!! read more

One of my favorite places in Sevilla! The pizza here is amazing! There are so many different options to chose from with unique and fresh ingredients. All of their salads are amazing as well. Great wine and drink selection. I was only in Sevilla for a month but I managed to stop by this place many times. It is in a great location with beautiful outdoor seating. Al Solito is a gem in Sevilla with delicious Italian food. They have a separate kitchen to prepare the gluten-free items and will even let you know if something -- the olives for instance -- are coming from the non gluten-free kitchen. The pizza was good, the tortellini really tasty (and a generous portion), but my favorite was the panzerotti. My grandma used to make them for our family, but once I was diagnosed with Celiacs she was never able to recreate the dish with gluten free dough. I can't believe I stumbled into it into panzerotti in Spain. It was delicious. read more

Tienen una cocina separada de la otra para el uso exclusivo de los ingredientes sin gluten. Al Solito Posto was so good that our family of five ate here twice during our stay in Sevilla - everyone liked it so much that we changed our plans for our final evening to eat there again. All of the food we had was great but I would particularly recommend the daily specials - the appetizers and the fish and pasta entrees - they were the best of the many dishes we tried. The tiramisu was also fabulous. And the wine list is excellent both in terms of wines from Andalucia and other regions of Spain. A particularly impressive wine list considering the size of the restaurant. The manager - Ignazio - is a fabulous host and the service was great all around. It is a beautiful space as well. And as other reviews have pointed out, they have a separate gluten free kitchen and additional procedures in place to make is safe for those with celiac. Make a reservation during busy times to avoid having to wait for a table. Highly recommend and look forward to coming back during our next visit. read more
