Because of the infection, they had to do the root canal over two appointments, but they were absolutely fantastic. I felt no pain either time, and the doctor continued to ask throughout the procedure if he was hurting me at all. Additionally, he explained everything he was doing, zooming in on the x-ray and explaining why he was doing everything. He even offered me a mirror if I wanted to watch what he was doing. Finally, I felt like they were the most honest people I had ever met. My general dentist had told me I needed multiple root canals and about 8 fillings. Honestly, I was in so much pain I was going to listen to whatever I was told. The people at LTE were completely honest and said I only needed 1 root canal and that a lot of the other work that was recommended was not really needed. The office staff was as nice as the doctors, telling me before they started what my total cost was going to be. I paid on the first visit in full, and had no issues during the 2nd when they finished the procedure. Overall, I enjoyed my visits there about as much as a person can enjoy a root canal. The doctor said "now I hope I don't have to ever see you in here again!" but if I do need another root canal, I know where I'll be going.

Before putting crowns on my two teeth (#18-19), my general dentist suggested that I ask an…read moreEndodontist to check if those teeth need root canal treatment. I found Dr. Goldberg, and made a consultation appointment with him. He took X-rays, examined my teeth, and said one of your tooth definitely needs root canal but the other one does not for now. Then he thoroughly explained what was going on with the tooth nerves inside my gum, why the tooth needed root canal and how the root canal could save my tooth. Dr. Goldberg's explanations were very convincing. Although very much scared of root canal procedure, I decided to go for it. The root canal treatment was completed in 2 sessions each 1.5 hours long (total of 3 hours). I found Dr, Goldberg kind, nice, considerate, caring, experienced and professional in his job. He never was in a rush. He always had time for my questions, and patiently addressed all my concerns and questions. He gave me his email address, his cellphone number and work number, and said feel free to call any time if you have any questions or concerns. During the root canal procedure, he checked on me several times to be sure that I was comfortable and was feeling no pain. Sometimes he made funny conversations to distract my thoughts from things were going on inside my mouth. After Dr. Goldberg got the root canal treatment done, I was so happy and satisfied that I hugged him. :) Two days later, he called me to follow up. What else could I want from a doctor? I hope you all have healthy teeth, but if you need root canal consultation or treatment, I highly recommend Dr. Goldberg!

I was referred to see Dr. Joseph to have a root canal procedure done. From the very moment we had the consultation; he was rude, confrontational with me when I asked questions and needed reassurance and overall lacked professionalism. It was clear that he didn't care about what I had to say because anytime I spoke, he couldn't keep any eye contact, kept turning away to fidget with different tools and items and kept looking outside the room. I let it slide as I needed the procedure done for two very severely infected teeth which I couldn't tolerate anymore and the office was the only one who could take me in the quickest as all others were heavily booked. So the appointment was made, I went ahead with the procedure, finally, it's over, its done and I can sleep... I was so wrong. About a week later, the same set of two teeth began with aches and pains again. I made an appointment to go back to see what was going on. When I got there, he really could care less. He told me to wait it out and to continue taking my medication that was prescribed and hurried out the office. I didn't want argue and make a big deal out of it; Fine you're the doctor, you know best, I will do that. within the next 3 days, the gums surrounding the teeth started to form painful blisters and leak pus. It was so severe not even the medications could numb the pain and I had to admit myself into the ER. They gave me corticosteroids and I went to get a second opinion elsewhere on what is exactly happening as I was not going back to him From what I was told, it was such a badly botched procedure that if I didn't take action right away, I would have developed Ludwig's Angina or Osteomyelitis within a week and to put a cherry on top of all of this, he billed my insurance twice for the procedure which is dishonest and fraudulent and I'm currently fighting to get that taken care. I have reported this to the Attorney Generals Office and the Massachusetts Insurance Fraud Bureau. Save your sanity, save your stress, and stay away from this dental office. It's not worth the headache and pain, I am not sure how they are legally allowed to run operations like this

Dr. Eilers is extremely friendly and compassionate. She never tries to upsell you or make you think you need more work or some kind of treatment you don't, unlike other dentists these days. Dr. Eilers has many, many years of experience and certainly knows what she's doing, rest assured. The office staff is also phenomenal... truly kind individuals who proactively reach out to you to make sure you get a time slot since Dr. Eilers does book far out (we aren't the only people who want to see her and know she's great!) Dr. Eilers won't ruin your teeth, she'll help you maintain great oral health. Stay on top of your 6 month cleanings and any cavities and you'll have amazing teeth for life. I remember as a very small child in my dentist's office there was a sign that said "be true to your teeth or they'll be false to you" and now as an adult I understand this saying so much more than ever before. I really want to preserve my teeth and keep them in the best shape possible. This office is truly one in a million. The ONLY and I mean only negative is the parking but you can't have it ALL, and that isn't a deterrent, obviously. This office is also not handicap accessible but that's out of their control also. Lastly, she doesn't prescribe 800mg ibuprofen only 600mg ibuprofen, which is kind of friggin weird to be honest (REALLY weird to be honest actually), considering I, and anyone, can just go buy it at any drugstore. It's an over the counter med and not like it's a narcotic but you'd think it was from the way she prescribes.... overkill if you ask me. I'm pretty sure I've covered it all at this point. This office meets all of my needs and Dr. Eilers is simply an honest, smart woman who is a great dentist and genuinely cares for her patients. Can't ask for more than that! (And if you need more ibuprofen just go to your primary care and they'll gladly write you 800's!)

I came to the office for an extraction, and both the consult and actual procedure were handled professionally and efficiently. The doc has an excellent chairside manner, is great with administering anesthetic (often the most painful part of the job), and is very consultative and thorough pre- and post-procedure, so that no surprises occur. And there is community, comforting vibe to the operation that you just will find at corporate or even larger practices. I strongly recommend this practice and Dr. Eilers.

My whole family has been regular patients in this place. Recently, we received a very rude reminder about dental cleaning and a threatening message that if we don't schedule our last cleaning for the fiscal year, our account will be deactivated! What is that supposed to mean? I don't understand what kind of business this place is running if they think these kind of messages are going to bring more clients?! Quite the opposite! It is unheard of hygiene appointments to be required so patients can keep their account active! Usually, dental facilities and private offices send friendly reminders for the patients to take advantage of a covered by insurance dental cleaning since there are only 2 per year. The manager needs to really apologize to all patients who received this kind of unpleasant email or text message as this is really unprofessional and totally unacceptable! After all, there are at least 30 other dental offices in the areas near by Newton Corner, Watertown, Brighton and Waltham. This kind of treatment of the patients would completely drive them away!
