So in December I decided one item on my "want to do in 2018" would be dance lessons. The first class I went to was line dance. Jo, our instructor, is wonderful!! The beginner class is 30 minutes long and costs $5! We learned several line dances and had the best time. Once you feel ready you can graduate yourself to novice class which starts right after the beginnners where you can learn a little harder dances. Once every 3 weeks they have a Friday night dance at the studio! So excited!!! The studio is large and open- inviting and big enough to hold a good sized group. My next class will be west coast swing! Can't wait to try that one too!!! I think all the Yelp family needs to come join me :-)

My daughter has been taking piano lessons for about 5 years now and continues to love it! The teachers are patient and kind and very well trained in handling all ages of students (even adult students). They don't just do piano.... they have violin, voice, and art classes. Take a look and you will find something for everyone. We are here today doing a practice performance so my daughter can get some extra guidance before here big performance. All the staff work off hours because they are dedicated to teaching and love what they do.

I attended a disability fashion centered experience titled "Every Body Blooms." Sponsored by NCHPAD, UAB Arts In Medicine. This was such a beautiful fashion show showcasing the confidence of the models and their creativity in fashion. One model remarked that "When you look good, you feel good." I would encourage everyone to follow NCHPAD to learn more about the disabled community and how they adapt to the abled body society. Again, this is a wonderful venue. I'll be back for other shows and performances.

Highly recommend attending a show here if you get the opportunity. Parking was tough since I was running late but that was to be expected. Locating street parking is NEVER fun or easy! I ended up parking in a student lot ... no problems since the event was on a Sunday. My car wasn't towed! Ha! This was a great event and I'm so glad Eric Benet spent his birthday with us here in Birmingham, AL!!!! FUN NIGHT!!!!!!

If you've ever had the opportunity to see a show in NYC, you know it's an experience. The BJCC may not offer the same bright lights as Broadway and Times Square, but the shows that Broadway in Birmingham bring to the Magic City are epic! DO NEVER take your Kids to BIRMINGHAM DANCE THEATRE. Had the worst…read more experience with my daughter there too. Took her for a 2 years old Ballet class for the first time. SHe started crying and the teacher, that was looking at her phone during the first 12 min of class to see how/what she should be teaching the kids, while all the 2 years old girls were standing in front of her, as cute as they could be, waiting ( 2 years old and waiting for 12 min, does not match at all), took ( grabbed) my daughter by her arms and sat her in a chair. SHe tried to get out crying and teacher put her back there again and called for assistance. Someone else came, close the window so I, and the others mom would not be able to see them, and I heard the teacher telling my daughter " This is a place for you to be happy, so stop crying!!! . I got inside the room, took my daughter out and she will never get back to that place again! Just want to share it, so if you ever think about going to this place you will know what kind of teacher they have there.
