Unfortunately, that's where the positives ended. We paid over $250 to spend just a few hours at the park before storms rolled in around 2:30 p.m. By about 4:00, the skies had cleared--but the park never reopened. With two full hours left in the published schedule, and clear weather outside, the day was over. I reached out to management, which is when the situation really took a turn for the worst. Their proposal - a rain check for a future visit. Problem is--we came all the way from Colorado. A "come back next time" credit just isn't helpful when you've spent that kind of money and have no plans to return. We've visited waterparks in multiple states--Arizona, Texas, Colorado--and have never experienced this kind of early closure after a storm passed. Most parks resume operations when it's safe. Not here. Beyond that: You're not allowed to bring in your own water, which is a challenge on hot Alabama days. Several lifeguards at the wave pool seemed more focused on chatting and flirting than on guest safety. The park itself feels a bit rundown and in need of investment. This may once have been the place to go in Orange Beach. But based on our experience, I'd suggest exploring other options for your family day. There are better values--and more responsive customer service--elsewhere. Incidentally, I made numerous attempts to resolve this issue with management, to no avail. They were unwilling to help and (eventually) completely unresponsive.

You sign a waiver and you have to weigh between 70 to 250 pounds for the zip line. Our two tour guides Jaeda and Spencer were amazing. As someone who's never zip lined before, they were comforting and patient. I think this zip line tour was good for beginners and kids. I think there were 10(?) zip lines that were approx 300 feet each. I'd prefer a longer one next time!

Everything is awesome for us, from the small boutiques, Fairhope Pharmacy, walking the pier, talking to Garfield the Goose at the duck pond and so many other things I can't name. When the original founders wanted to make this a utopia, little do they know they have succeeded. So many transplants, like us, and yes many tourists and y'all keep coming back. New experience tonight with the Christmas Parade. Wow, it was awesome. I've been to Christmas parades before, but this was the best ever. I met so many nice people, who when we tell them we recently move here, they are so welcoming, from celebrities to just your neighbor. The town is filled with pastel colored houses, dreamy tree lined streets with flowers on every corner, resident geese and pelicans that the locals have named and the most friendly people I've ever encountered. I knew I wanted to get away to some place fairly close and Southern Living named Fairhope one of the best small towns in the south and after a little research I was sold. Fairhope is only about five hours from Lafayette and if you're in New Orleans it's even closer...about two hours, thirty minutes. Mobile is right across the bay, so you can go to the "big city" fairly quickly but stay in this idyllic little town. There's so much to do with the museums, shopping, and dining.
