My family goes to Owa at least once a year if not more! We love it! Staff is very friendly, the food is pretty good, (the chicken tenders are my favorite) the water slides are all amazing but the stairs going up to them can be pretty nasty lol just watch your step. This is one of the worst water park/ amusment park I've ever been to. The food was awful the rides are sickening 3 of the people in my group threw up. I will never visit this place ever again. The workers were not doing anything they were letting people do whatever they want. The water rides are dangerous I flipped over and kids were running in the water park. I was getting splashed left and right the workers really need to do more. read more

Arrived mid-afternoon during the off-season so most everything was shutdown except for a few shops and restaurants - there were lots of workers setting up Christmas decorations and a few working on murals. We did a walk through and seen a few others doing basically the same as us. It's a very well maintained facility but today it looked more like an empty movie set. The park was clean and well cared for. However, I have celiac disease and was not allowed to bring my own food into the park. This is the first park I have gone to that has not permitted me to bring my food. I talked to the manager and he said it is a problem but I'm free to eat in the parking lot or outside the park away from my family. But I'm not allowed to bring any food in. So I was hungry the whole day and had to leave early with my children and their friends. This is discrimination and not ok. Probably not coming back here again. read more

The pickleball setup at OWA is really nice. I especially appreciated the friendly atmosphere. It's a good spot for pickleball.

Speakeasy in OWA ....clean & nice owners but way overpriced for very little. Nearly $4 for a plastic glass of ice tea with.99 cent refill! 3 half filled tacos, mostly lettuce .......a $25 meal. One other table only. Sad. read more

Great park and great value! You get an amusement park and waterpark for one price. Parking is free. The staff, especially on the amusement park side, were awesome! They were friendly and made the rides that much more fun. The amusement park has several intense rides, some mild and lots for little ones. The Waterpark offers so many great slides, a lazy river and wave pool with a giant TV, which was showing March Madness games, not my bag, but I'm sure others appreciated it. No outside food or drink, but there are exit privileges and the parking lot isn't that far if you wanted to pack a picnic and go to the car. Inside the park the food was good, typical amusement park prices. Overall a great place for families! read more

7/14/24 Sunday: Our first trip started out pretty frustrating. First, we spent an obscene amount of money for two adults and two children, PLUS an outside cabana to enjoy. Within the first hour of being there was thunder and light rain. Understandably, they shut down the outside pool area, so we headed inside to enjoy a few slides. At the first slide my husband realized he wasn't aloud to wear his hat on the slide so my son and I went to walk it back to our cabana. Upon approaching the outside side walk we were informed that not only was the pool closed but the ENTIRE outside area, including all cabanas, which is where our belongings were. Of course all the workers were young adults, more than likely all under the age of eighteen so no one could tell me why. Thankfully a young girl offered to take our hat back to our cabana for us, but I was furious. We paid a lot of money to come to this facility for one day and then am told we can't even enjoy our COVERED cabana because there was SOME thundering. I tried to brush this off because again, we are here for one day with our children and I did not want to ruin their day, but this was outrageous. I was walking around in my bathing suit because I wasn't aloud to have my belongings outside. The inside area was very slippery. I mean, so slick I took a tumble several times. You're only allowed closed toe water shoes (which we didn't have). We purchased a pizza because it was more "bang for our buck". Alcoholic drinks, pricey, just like anywhere else. Our kids favorite part of the entire park was the surf wave runner. The wave pool was also nice. James, our server for our cabana, was exceptionally good. He gave me his phone number ahead of time because he knew he had several cabanas. I would text him our order and he would reply and show up with our food and beverages within minutes. Because we paid so much to be here, we stayed at the water park until it almost closed so we only had a little under an hour to enjoy the amusement park. Overall, we spent a total of $700 for one day, again, husband and I each had probably 5-6 beverages each, prices ranging $12/drink (yikes). I highly doubt we return. Families wanting to enjoy a water park, drive to Hattiesburg. It's way cheaper. read more

We've had season passes for several years because we are locals. Here's my assessment of the park: all rides are not running all the time. Employees have to decide their time between rides or they are simply closed. Not cool, especially on a Saturday. Concession stands are not fully staffed so prepare to wait in lines that are unnecessary. Water inside the waterpark IS cold. They say it's heated but something is not right. Outside wave pool is great! However, plan to clean the loungers because they always have bird poop on them. We know these things and still go anyway, but if I were coming with my family for one day and spent the amount of money that is charged, I would be ticked! read more

Love OWA! The only thing that it really is lacking on is food - Grub is very meh inside the water park - but you can easily purchase a day pass and go to one of the many restaurants available in the immediate area. Parking is vast and free and is such a luxury to not have to worry about. BRING SUNSCREEN! You will need to reapply it because you're probably going to spend the day here, and that isn't a bad idea! You should bring a change of clothes in case you (or your family) wants to jump in between the water park vs. the rides at OWA. Not perfect but 5* ! read more

Just fun all around. From the wave pool, to the lazy river to the amusement park rides and games I was pleasantly surprised by just how much fun we had. I'm not a beach person, you can take all that sand and blaring sun but I enjoyed the day, as did my 5 and 6 year olds. My only regret is that we only planned one day for the Park. Next time it's getting first priority and we're spending a couple days enjoying what OWA has to offer. read more
