It is also nice to have fish selections so close to my home. The real deal is the meats. If you are looking for a bargain, you are in the wrong place. If you are looking for great quality, look no further. I am like a kid in a candy story when I walk in. I grew up in New York and this place comes closest to what I remember. I suggest that if you buy one of the premade meals that you first ask what kind of meat is in it and how it is prepared. I got some fresh chicken breasts which were very nice w no fat on them. I also brought home a peanut butter pie which none of us really cared for. We were pretty disappointed since we love peanut butter pie. I took a picture of the Doux South products that they carry and sent it to my friend who was very happy to see that they have her favorite jarred tomatoes. Overall not a bad store. Place was quiet even though it was probably 75% full for lunch. Roast beef was served hot in toasted sour dough. Cheddar, tomato, lettuce and horseradish topped the generous portion of roast beef. Bread was crisp and the beef was hot and juicy. Horseradish gave a nice tangy flavor. My wife's Smiley burger was hand patted. Juicy and perfectly cooked. Bun was soft inside and nicely toasted in the outside. Bread and butter pickles, onion, tomato and lettuce topped it off. But the star of the show were the fries cooked in beef tallow!! Hot and salty, crispy and a deep flavor. I would come back just for the fries. Although a little bit pricey for lunch, it was excellent! Staff were friendly and attentive! Not only is it easy to browse the newest ads, I like that there is overlap in the ads--one day that you can shop two weekly ads at the same time. Because this location is a little farther from me, this perk makes it easier to combine the trip to save both time and money.
