The staff was NOT trained for a tea party, which is ironic. We had reservations for 3 adults and one child....we waited over 30 minutes to get served. They brought out water and never asked if we wanted our tea. We got our tiers, but they still didn't bring out tea, we had to ask for it. The food on the tiers were not good...like a biscuit with no jam. I had to ask for small plates and we had to pour our own tea. All in all, a disappointing tea party after our 2 hour drive! My granddaughter is only 2, so she had a good, special time, and for that I praise the ambience of this cute restaurant! But since the restaurant is an Alice and Wonderland place, the staff should be trained to hold an equally magical tea party!! PS. When we got the bill, they had over charged us by 42.00. Remember, before you tip, they add a tip too! The manager did correct our card for their mistake. Sorry, The Hatter, we were very disappointed. A tea party at an Alice and Wonderland restaurant should be MAD and crazy special!

I was intrigued by their menu and image and resolved to try them soon. I will definitely be back! I've had a hard time finding a go-to spot in Scottsboro but I think my search is over. The turkey had absolutely no funk or sliminess, just tasty, slightly thickly cut slices of meat that paired perfectly with the smoky strips of bacon. The spicy aioli was addictive and even though the sandwich was served cold (my preference), the Gouda had a rich, melty quality that melded things together perfectly. I LOVED this sandwich. I grabbed a cookie of the day (biscoff) on my way out. This wasn't quite a 5/5 cookie (it was a little on the dry/crunchy side for me), but I still enjoyed it. For my Philly cheesesteak, I thought they skimped a little on the meat and what meat was there was tough and super thin -- reminded me of Steak-Umms. Despite the other toppings, it just wasn't as rich or flavorful as I expect of a cheesesteak. The fries were frozen then fried but at least had a nice little sprinkling of seasoning, salt, pepper, etc. The person who got the fettuccine alfredo was pretty unhappy; there wasn't much chicken in it and she said the noodles were beyond overcooked. She didn't eat even half of it. Overall, I'd rate this place as pretty average across all dimensions, with some strengths and some weaknesses. The salad bar and large, welcoming space were definitely the highlights for our party.
