Dinner at Aladdin's in Independence: ~3 - 4pm, 28 January 2026:      Sorry for the delayed review.  While out running errands on 28 Jan. 2026, ~2-3pm my wife and I decided to stop for a dinner date at Aladdin's in Independence. The manager/hostess (Nicole I believe) was very patient and accommodating as we decided whether we would order carry-out or eat-in.  We decided to eat-in which turned out to be a good choice.      I had a Grilled Tuna Salad and my wife had the Hummus Chicken Plate dinner.  Both meals were delicious, reasonably priced, and we both enjoyed the meal again at home a couple days later, thanks to the generous portions and a doggie bag.  They were still very delicious, even reheated!      What really made our date so pleasant was our waitress Eva and the manager/hostess, Nicole.  Eva was very friendly, polite, and knew the menu very well.  Eva gave advice, answered questions and suggested options with a smile.  She was very helpful and patient as we were going through the menu trying to decide.  Both Eva and Nicole were very attentive and made sure to stay on top of refills and make a friendly pass-by every now-and-then to check on us, as well as other, customers to see that everything was fine.  Their friendly service with a smile made us very comfortable ... as if we were family. read more

The place is wonderful. Friendly staff, plenty of seating and excellent food. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. Everyone greets you when you enter the door. I love the hummus here. I had the pesto hummus and a lamb pita roll. The garlic sauce and hot sauce are some of the best I've ever had and their pickled veggies are phenomenal inside the pita wrap. Omg everything was so delicious! I haven't been to Aladdin's in awhile and it was even better than I remembered! We tried the spicy cauliflower and Loubie Bzeit, which were both amazing with tons of Flavors! The Loubie Bzeit is italian green beans sautéed with onions, whole cloves of garlic, fresh tomatoes, and extra virgin olive oil. It has herbs too and I wish I knew what type! read more

Do you want hot sauce? Do YOU want hot Sauce?! DO YOU WANT HOUSE SAUCE?!?!?!? I'm not sure if all Aladdin's does this but the one in Independence does this ALL THE TIME when ordering takeout. You can't even get your order out before they're asking, "do you want hot sauce?!" It's SUPER annoying!!! Please STOP this! Don't get me wrong I love their hot sauce and I order it every time I order takeout. I will tell you I want hot sauce if you just give me the chance to say it! I've grown to hate ordering from here just because of this. They are also known to get orders wrong with me too. Given garlic sauce when I asked for Tahini, no falafel in my order. Given hummus when I ordered baba ghanoush. Please look into getting your takeout orders right the first time. As of late they have been doing better. But these issues do make me anxious ordering here. You'd earn another star if you could correct these issues. Oh yeah and the prices keeps creeping up more and MORE! I mean am I going to be paying $30 for my favorite dish at some point? When is this inflation going to cap off? read more

I used to love this place... but it has gone downhill... My Favorite dish was the Mediterranean Lamb plate.. not cheap, but tasty.. You would get pieces of succulent lamb marinated to perfection with rice and other fixins... Today I got 4 ground dog turd looking things that came from a factory somewhere... We went after being on the road for close to 10 hrs on our way to Cleveland, and were looking for filling yet affordable meal. And that is exactly what we got! From the name we were expecting something less fancy and neat looking and a bit more of just a hole in the wall with amazing food. But this place gives you a luxurious feel along with great food so I'm not complaining. We ordered the veggie soup to begin with, when it came out it was very cold so we sent it back to get a hotter one. I could see them heat it up in a microwave so didn't expect much, and to no surprise it was just a tad bit warmer when it came back with no taste to it. This set of our meal on the wrong foot and we were dreading the meal to come. We ordered the chicken curry Pitza and the chicken platter with cauliflowers and to our surprise everything we got after the soup was to DIE FOR! The pitza had super amazing crispy pita bread as a base topped with perfectly browned slightly caramelized sweet onions and delicious curry chicken on top. The chicken platter had a generous dollop of hummus, deliciously blackened cauliflower and juicy chicken. The portions were amazing with a ton of pita breads that came on the side. The server was very considerate with our soup fiasco, I felt bad to send it back again so just ate it as is. He recommended us the delicious grandma's chocolate cake which we got to-go and enjoyed after getting back to the hotel! Get anything except the soup at this place and you will be stuffed as a turkey on thanksgiving! read more

Ambiance? Meh! But the food is great!! Attentive and friendly service. My wife and I shared a Tabouli salad. The server said that a small was enough for 2 to share, but I wish we ordered a medium. We didn't expect the place to be as fancy and popular as it turned out. The place had seats at the bad, booths, and even round tables for people in wheelchairs. Our server was sweet and answered all our questions very patiently. We started off with a vegetable soup that wasn't warm when it first was served, and upon asking it was reheated in a microwave (only reason this is not a 5-star review). Other than that, we ordered a Chicken Curry Pitza that had a very peculiar sweetness to it because of the gravy and the fried onions. This is a flavour that I doubt I've ever had before, but I really enjoyed it. Along with that we ordered a specialty plate (I forgot the exact name), but it came with chicken Mishwi on a bed of brown rice and vermicelli, greens and hummus. The whole dish was amazingly flavoured and super filling. This whole meal was very hearty and tasty. The order also came with a pile of pitas that were equally yummy. To finish it all off, we ordered a slice of Grandma's Chocolate Cake that was probably one of the softest cakes I've ever had! Very soft and tasty. A perfect end to a perfect meal. I start by saying that I have a split rating. Without a doubt, the food was delicious. The ambiance was excellent, very nicely decorated. The waiter named Sam did an outstanding job. But I have two observations. The Yelp address is incorrect and getting the location was quite a project. Especially for a person who is not from the area. My second observation is that it is shameful that the lady in front does not have the right concept of customer service. Nor to receive people and even less when firing them. A business depends not only on its food, but also on the way diners are treated to make sure they come back or recommend it. read more

Again We gave this eatery another chance. My door dash hummus at 17.99 was non flavorful and not very good. The lentil soup was a zero. I had to put it in a crockpot with my own ingredients to elevate the flavor. Very disappointed in spending 30 dollars for food that was not worth the price and not enticing enough to satisfy as a meal. Perhaps this review will improve the takeout experience. read more

We ordered a quick lunch from Aladdin's Independence while staying off Rockside road. Our salads were great like all of the other Aladdin's we've been to in town while visiting. I had my normal fattoush salad with chicken and my wife had the Lebanese. I could not help but get a tub of their hot sauce with extra pita. I've been eating those every meal since then. One other note is that my pick up order was waiting for me on a rack with my name making pick-up very easy. We love Aladdin's Eateries. read more

If i could afford to eat here every day of the week then i would. The food is out of this world. I highly recommend the Shish Tawook Pita Wrap and the Chicken Salad. I loved Aladdin's years ago and still love it today! The hummus, tabouli, and baba gannouj are always so fresh and delicious! The shawarmas are the best- my favorite thing to order. My second favorite is the kafta. Most recently I tried the falafel rolled. Delicious! I have never ordered anything on the menu that I didn't enjoy. The pita is some of the best I've ever had. I always make sure that I take some home. There are so many fresh, healthy options at Aladdin's- something for everyone. They have many vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options. Our server was so friendly and helpful. She was incredibly patient with us when we perused the very large menu. Tried the Chicken Fatoush Salad which had smaller pieces of chicken than the first time, slopped together & drowning in oil. The pita is bland, flat not fluffy & stale. Our server was less than happy to be there along w/ the other employees as though they were all upset at each other. I asked her for a Rosé she came back & said they were out, no problem cause the Pinot Grigio was better than what I had the first time here. After I finished, all of the staff was sitting down for a meeting in the middle of the restaurant as if they were resolving the issue at 1pm in the middle of lunchtime. Strange. The cakes look amazing & maybe that's what I should've had for lunch. I eat at Mediterranean, Greek, Turkish & Lebanese restaurants all of the time & can truly say that I've had better in the food court at the Galleria Mall in Henderson, NV. Not wasting my appetite here again. I do not think that Independence, Ohio has excellent Mediterranean food to compare excellent from what is horrible. While this is part of a regional chain of restaurants, it was a great experience. The service and food were both excellent. We ordered a side of hummus with pita and it was tasty. I had the Flavor Savor Special that came with chicken mishwi and beef kafta on a bed of brown rice with vermicelli; served with greens, hummus, and falafel. I also ordered a Tropical Storm smoothie. The falafel was nice, not dry at all which tends to be a common issue when I order it. The chicken mishwi had a great grilled flavor. The kafta was tasty with a hint of cinnamon. The rice and greens were tasty with a lemony dressing on the greens. The smoothie tasted mostly of pineapple, not the mix I had hoped for, but was good. My wife had the Superfood Salad - mujadara, lebanese salata, red quinoa, diced squash and zucchini, peas, seasoned pita chips, walnuts, cranberries, and special seasoning tossed in Aladdin's dressing and sprinkled with parsley. She said the food made her feel happy and healthy. read more

I'd found this place accidentally when hungry I looked for a decent lunch. The cafeteria looked casual and simple. I got the table quickly and the hostess was friendly and attentive. I immediately liked the menu- it had everything (meat, fish, vegetables and etc). The most important the menu had vegetarian options and low calorie options. I ordered traditional Mediterranean food: lentil soup and tabouleh salad with a chicken breast. I was happy with my choices, atmosphere and the service. We had a very good experience at Aladdin's Eatery. The food was delicious, and our server (Melissa) was friendly, helpful, and professional. We ordered the Veggie Combo Appetizer (which was enough to share), the Lentil Soup (more brothy than creamy but still good), the V-Nine Soup, and a Falafel Salad. The falafel was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. The hummus was smooth with just the right amount of tahini. I would definitely dine there again. read more

I really enjoyed this place and was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked it. They have a decent sized menu, enough to make you come back for more or do a nice sampling of a few items. Wasn't a easy decision on what to get at first. Once you do decide you'll be happy with the food quality and flavors of the dishes here. I went twice during my short trip to the area, that will tel you how much I really did enjoy the food here. This can be a good sit down restaurant or a grab and go place, however you want eat, definitely go check them out. read more

I've only been to Aladdin's twice, but I am going to make an effort to visit more to try other items on the menu. What I've sampled so far has been delicious. I had a Mujadara Power Salad and I added a chicken breast. The salad and the chicken tasted excellent. The quality was superb. I can't wait to go back! read more
