This place caught my eye driving by a few times so I decided to try it while very hungry and in the area today. It's newly constructed, modern and clean. Full disclaimer, I don't really understand the assembly line to create a giant trough... er bowl of ingredients as a meal places in general. So, I had kind of hoped there would be simpler options on their menu which there really wasn't. I opted for a wrap and was guided through my confusion by a helpful man behind the counter. I get 3 kinds of hummus on one wrap!?! Ok... and he proceeded to efficiently and maybe a little too quickly guide me through the process... So we quickly threw a bunch of ingredients into my trough... umm wrap. But, really, you put the dolmas inside the wrap?!? So I am still recovering from that when he rapid fires off the sides and I pick sweet potato fries not fully grasping that I will be paying another $5 for greasy sweet potato fries in addition to the half pound of ingredients wrapped in a spinach flatbread. Plus, probably another $5 for soda. And, I just don't understand why. The gyro meat is fine and the types of hummus are probably delicious but I don't know how to decipher which is which as they're all slathered on an unheated wrap which always feels a little like raw tortilla when that's how they're served. The sauce was bland. Anyway, the wrap was fine. The sweet potato fries were greasy and flavorless and I am annoyed because I didn't really want them. And honestly that's why the 2 stars instead of 3 because of the ridiculous upsell. And it really wasn't worth the $25 for lunch that I paid. read more

The friendly and attentive staff are the first thing that you will notice. This is a well located extremely clean and absolutely delicious fast casual, and healthy place to be. I am so excited that it is within 10 minutes of my job. I have celiac and gluten-free and I have eaten here several times with zero cross contamination. I wish that my picture did the meal justice. I have had my eye on Hummus Republic since it opened. The menu was impressive and it seemed like a good value. Staff were friendly and very helpful when deciding what to order. They had an olive hummus that was delicious and offered many vegan options. You don't see a mushroom shawarma on many fast casual menus. If you like spicy be sure to try the cucumber jalapeño lemonade. My partner got a wrap and it was enough for at least two meals. The dining area was a little sparse with decor. There was plenty of seating. I am hoping they get lots of traffic. Hummus Republic is located just off of I -90 and near a Cleveland Clinic Location. I will be visiting again. read more

Wow!! Discovered this cute little spot in Avon and was so impressed. It's giving Cava dupe!!! The guy who worked there was very welcoming and let me know how the menu and the portions worked. He encouraged me to get more hummus when I only ordered one type! I will say he put a little bit way too much tahini on my bowl but that was my fault for not stopping him, lol. This place gets 5 stars from me because A) they have beets! and B) they have my favorite gluten free brownies which I couldn't find anywhere since I had them at a conference back in November. Very nice lady who seemed to be a manager or owner served us. Food was tasty and freshly prepared. My wife and I both ordered bowls. I had the crispy chicken and chicken shawarma. My wife chicken shawarma x 2. Lettuce mix/spinach was just a few sprigs on both would have liked more... a lot more. Add ons are self explanatory. Scoops of hummus, be careful. While they plate well and are tasty, they can overpower the taste of everything else in the bowl. Sauces same. Great selection and combination of flavors to offer. If you have it poured on top, this plus the scoops I found made a big mess of flavors, which my palate couldn't sort out. Yes, I'd go back but have all sauces on the side. This place is an excellent value for this day and age......I got a bowl with everything they offered (ok I didn't get pickles), and I will be eating this for three days. It probably weighs 3 pounds. We looked forward to stopping as it hits some of the right notes. By the time we left, that changed a bit. Place was spic and span clean. The owner gave us a quick run down O their offerings. We both ordered bowls $14 each. I waited a minute to see what she was building. Couscous, rice and chick peas to start. You can have one or all three. Then one of several proteins. She tried crispy chicken. Then onto other toppings. Greens, any number of spreads, (hummus etc) toppings like coke, olives, feta, beets and more It ended up being a decent portion. The chicken was tasty. I ordered the gyro. They say off the cone. Mine came from a drawer to a flat top. It was "warmed" up a bit and chopped up along the way. I went through the same building process. The gyro was not hot, chopped up to small pieces and in fine print, an additional $1.49. Totally not worth it. For our two bowls and a drink was $35. As we saw other meals being made, they seem to eyeball portions. The various chicken items throw on a flat top. Others in the deep fryer. They had 6 drink machines circulating lemonade and such. Three were labeled and three were not. It was hard to tell what they were even by taste. They serve Pepsi products( We are Coke all the way). People were nice. There seemed to be some confusion with some of the to go food. I'm sure it's just newness issues. That's all I have. read more
