First time visiting for us both, my daughter and I enjoyed a play date with friends. The fairground is spacious and expansive with food, games and toy vendors spread throughout. The rides are divided in to two halves of the park. The big kid/adult rides are at the front of the park nearest to Gates 8 and 12, the little/smaller kid rides are located at the opposite end. Mini roller coasters, long slides, bouncy areas, drop rides, carousel and swing rides along with a few others encompass The Sky Ride ($7 daily unlimited or free included with the unlimited rides wristband) is a gondola ride. It takes you across the fairgrounds. Sounds lazy, but is super convenient when you have tired little ones or just want to observe the park from an aerial view of different rides, food and game stations, and toy spots. With an unlimited wristband, my daughter and friend enjoyed every ride desired. In absence of the band, rides are worth so many tickets. We witnessed parents losing track of their value only to be told they had to reload after standing line for some time. Fortunate the lines did not become long or crowded until 7ish. Lucky for us, we purchased admission and rides during presale. Unlimited rides at the park is either $80 or $90, definitely not worth that price. Our park visit was 2-3 hours in total. With the heat, breaks and snacks and food and water did not make our littles last long. The miniature train and art exhibit were cool non-ride attractions both little people enjoyed. It is unlikely I would include the fairgrounds in our summer plans, but it was something fun to experience at least once only with the discounted rate. read more

First time coming to this fairground and it's a good one to check out. I like that it's in June before the heat begins unlike sac town fair. The food is the typical stuff you find at fair. The beer options were good. Lotta craft so that's good. Recommend getting here early to avoid the big crowds after sunset. read more

My wife surprised me with going to see the lights here.. this year. It was our very 1st time ever paying to see Christmas lights. She paid $16 per ticket for the 7:30 pm slot. However, upon arriving.. we were met with many other ppl/cars waiting as well. We got there at 7:30 pm. We waited on a extremely long line. Got to the front at about 8pm. We were there for only 20 mins or even less honestly... then it was done. The lights were meh. Was nothing extraordinary nor extravagant. Nothing popped.. or truly jumped out. It was flat!. Came here for Muddy Dash 2025 and had a great time. I wasn't in the best of shape but was able to still finish within an hour. The people were amazing and had a lot of great energy. There was some great obstacle courses, but there was a lot of running. The fairgrounds is very spacious and was able to see everything as we ran through the whole fairgrounds. Definitely coming back next year if Muddy Dash is here again. read more

Quality/Quantity - Our annual family tradition. We also try to time it for the donation day, today we supported the Humane Society; see pictures. Very consistent fair. Excellent, 6 stars, as we come every year. Fair foods are a treat. Free shows and amazing bands; they are a good way to take a break from the heat. A little of everything for the whole family. I also like that the prices are "regulated," so I do not have to "shop" for the lowest priced booth for my beer, LOL. Extra plus that there were so many different areas to buy alcohol! They even have a wine bar, see pictures. This year's wine bar was by McGrail; a winery I am thinking of joining. Today was the Humane Society promotion and $1 rides until 5pm. They also have season passes, but one day is plenty. Special concerts for extra $$ - See website. Horse racing. None today. Dining at the track - Sky Lounge & Terrace. Fastrak for rides. Rides are/were extremely short, is it due to the $1 ride days? Or because these rides are for very young kids? Some of my favorite highlights of the fair, not in any order: Turkey legs. Caramel apples - For my daughter Many different promotions to cater to all. Can food drive, $1 ride days, $2 food bite days, concerts, etc. Contactless and mobile options. Wristbands for rides. Atmosphere - Something for everyone. Easy in and out parking. Plenty of parking, especially since we get here early. Got a space right up front! Plenty of clean restrooms. Color coded map, see pictures. Mobile charging stations. Petting zoo $$. Kids' areas - Quite a few kid areas and shows. Service - Good, plenty of ambassadors and security. Plenty of employees and volunteers. Shuttle from the parking lot to the entrance if needed. Price - Parking - $15. Rides - $1 until 5pm. Admissions - Donation to Humane Society. Owner Comment - Glad you are back. My daughters' band used to play here annually, so after being the "groupie" loading and unloading all the equipment, we got to enjoy the fair for free. :) read more

Recently attended in event at the fairgrounds over three days. At least on security was rude and intrusive. For instance, I had a t-shirt in my bag, and I had to take it out, shake it to show I wasn't hiding anything and explain why I had it. I am a 60+ adult - not going to pick any fights with a t-shirt at this event! We were not supposed to bring in food, but some security personnel allowed it, others did not. Food concessions were super expensive. $7 for a 20oz Pepsi, $15 for a hot dog. read more

There is so much to see and do at this fair, it's impossible to do it all in one day. If you want to relax, there is a gorgeous garden to sit and relax in, I love all the shade. There are so many rides for kids and adults to ride, you can have a thrilling day. You can basically find any food too. Greek, kabobs, salad, burgers, corn, Hot dogs, fries, ice cream, slushies, coffee. They have it all. I loved all the entertainment, trapeze, juggling, ropers, yo-yo, science, dancers, singers. Oh, no, seems here is the Fair I attended today, the other Fair without "grounds" behind fair. So, comment the same thing here: Anyway, this is a nice place to visit, but I will not purchase wristband if I know this ahead.(every purchase is non refundable). Their pricing is ridiculous. They charge admission for children over 32 inches tall, yet kids at that height aren't allowed to ride most attractions on their own. Only three rides are suitable for smaller children, and parents are required to purchase tickets as well in order to accompany them. Who would pay full admission just to stand around and ride a few attractions with their child? I enjoy the rest part of the fair. read more

was at fuel fest last week and decided to stop by Korean Papi Kitchen and sheesh that line was loooong! Luckily, I was 3rd in line..heard they were cooking up a fresh batch of bulgogi and all of a sudden, I heard this commotion. Seen an older white guy yelling at one of the employees inside the trailer..dont quote me but it was like "you cant fuckin do this, I will get you kicked out of the fairgrounds" something close to that. Turned out that the person yelling was an employee of the fairgrounds, based on the polo shirt he was wearing. Pretty unprofessional if you ask me! An employee of the fairgrounds talking to another adult in that matter is uncalled for, no matter what. Hope Korean Papi informed someone else on staff and handled that! Left the line cuz the fairgrounds employee was saying too much and not trying to hear that vendor for that event. What a shame.. read more

It's not just the setting of my favorite annual county fair, I've attended so many diverse events and festivals here over the years, including the Norcal Reptile Expo, Bay Area Pet Fair, TinyFest, 626 Night Market, Pirates of Emerson haunted house attraction, horse racing, and most recently, the SF Bay Flower & Garden Show this past weekend. Tons of space and a massive amount of parking (typically charging $15). The types of events held here are diverse and interesting, usually family-friendly and/or fun for couples, and the setting offers the flexibity of utilizing a single building, multiple buildings, or a combination of buildings and outdoor space. The fairgrounds Sky Ride (chairlifts used at Alameda County Fair) are just one of the many unique elements and nice touches that make this place an appealing venue. No doubt, I'm a fan of the Alameda County Fair (so much to do, see, and eat, plus it's where I first fell in love with bunnies!). But I often get excited when I learn that any special event is being held here... I don't attend them all, but when I do, it usually ends up turning into a positive experience, including the SF Flower & Garden Show this past weekend, which had much to offer for plant lovers like me. read more

Very nice space for event and well run plus very clean - huge parking area and staff is all extremely "on it" - we attended a three day Hula event there so spent a lot of time there lol ! Bathrooms plentiful and clean, buildings used for different reasons like one was converted with partitions to be dressing rooms and another was used for a huge craft fair, outside areas used to bring in food trucks and then the main arena used for stage and audience areas with bleachers brought in for the different participants. My favorite pastimes as a kid was going to the fair with my family. It's still my favorite thing to do during the summer. Although my daughter is grown up now, I'm so happy she still enjoys going to the fair. Last year was still remnants of covid and very few vendors and livestock were here. This year was as normal as it was before covid. Lot's of vendors and all the livestock was here. It was a very hot day to visit the fair today but keeping hydrated was the plan. I was able walk the entire fair and had a great time. Most vendors do not take cash so be prepared to tap your credit card for payment. I enjoyed a corn dog and pineapple agua Fresca. Very fortunate I live close enough to walk to the Fair. Otherwise I would be paying $15 -$25 to park. read more

It's been a while since my family and I went to the Alameda County Fair. My older kids were not as impressed. My husband thought it was okay, prices have gone up. They've gone cashless. Purchase tickets online or at a kiosk at the fairground. If you brought cash- there is a kiosk to add your cash into a card. You can pay your food, tickets with it. You'll have to show your parking pass on your phone. Attendants will scan the QR code. We tried the little kids section. Purchasing the card to ride/play games was a little confusing. Good thing staff was near by to answer questions. Once you find a "deal" and pay, you will receive a bracelet. Must wear it to ride rides or play. The prices are a big high. My 6 year old rode a ride with her older sibling. Attendant scanned her bracelet scanned my daughter's bracelet 3x. My older daughter explained that there were only 2 riding and that he scanned it 3x. He didn't care much. Food was okay. We were a little disappointed that a lot of items were not available when we went. There were a couple of buildings that sell products. That was pretty interesting. We bought a few things that we thought were good deals. Overall, the family and I stayed about 4 hours and was ready to go home. I asked the family what they thought. From a scale of 1-10, 1- would they come back to 10- I'm definitely coming back. They said, eh, maybe a 4 or 5. So, maybe Alameda County Fair will not be a yearly family outing. read more

Thought bait and switch sales tactics were gone? no, they are still alive and well and practiced daily by La Mesa RV at the Alameda County Fairgrounds. In short, I was told at the Pleasanton Alameda County Fairgrounds RV show (Jan '25) hosted by La Mesa RV and told by the salesperson to put a down payment on an RV that I was seriously considering. This deposit would ensure that I had secured the vehicle from sale to anyone else for 24 hours. After completing all the form(s) to do so and providing them a credit card to charge the deposit, the Manager said unequivocally that He can't do that..." I told him that I would have an answer in 24 hours whether I wanted to purchase the RV based on my overnight review of the vehicle in question. The salesperson said that they do this deposit/purchase an RV regularly which is why I decided to move forward with a deposit. After taking 2-1/2 hours of my time in moving the transaction forward to post the deposit, the Manager didn't care, nor make any attempt to honor what his salesperson(s) had promised to complete the transaction. He approached the transaction like this was a common occurrence... I would recommend other RV vendors as you simply cannot read more

My sweetie and I love coming to the county fair here. The fair is a lot of fun and the fairgrounds are huge. Also, it is one of the few fairgrounds in North California where you can find somewhere nearby to park for free and walk inside. Why pay their parking fees when you can park for free even though it will mean a slight more of a walk, we prefer to save some money?!? Also, during Halloween time, there is the Pirates of Emerson (POE) event held here. However, we went there once and found it just okay. Yah it was kind of fun. However, what we although did not like is that many of the exhibits and rides cost extra as they were not part of the general admission. That was disappointing. POE is not worth the general admission fee which is already priced high unless at least you can get some kind of discount. And yet, as I said, the supposedly best experiences at this event cost extra. read more

Perfect day to visit under the cool weather where you can really enjoy Theo food, animal shows and people watching. Many food trucks with great and interest g options. Mango and Pineapple Dole Whip- this was more like a soft serve ice cream with great consistency and the mango and pineapple complimented one another quite well. Really recommend this one! Turkey Leg Taco - these were your normal street tacos with turkey leg meat, pinto beans (I think), and pico de gallo. This was a 5/10 because it got really soggy really fast and the tortillas broke almost right away upon picking it up to eat. This was also lacking some flavor because they didn't have much salsas to work with other than tapatio jalapeños, and green tobasco. Corn with Hot Cheetos - this consisted of canned corn, mayonaise, cheese, and hot Cheetos. 10/10! Cant go wrong here because it is very simple yet the burst of flavors that compliment the corn was delicious! We went to the sauce station on the right side of the stand and also added lime juice, tapatio, Cajun seasoning, and valentina. Carne Asada Fries - consisted of fries, steak (asada), sour cream, pico de gallo, and cilantro. They offer red and green salsa on the side which we added and this was super delicious. Pleasanton seems like a dubious place for a county fair. Too suburban. But then Pleasanton was probably more rural than suburban more recently than I think. It's definitely large enough to hold the county fair, and I can tell that they can exchange parking space for additional fair space, so the site is scalable, as long as you don't pay attention to how beat up the asphalt--where there is asphalt--is in its parking lots. It feels like there should be more permanent buildings. Yes, there's an entire racetrack, and some of the demonstration buildings are massive, but from what I remember, the Fairplex (where the L.A. County Fair is held), used to have some permanent rides even in the early '80s, and this fairgrounds seems like it should have an airborne tram or something similar. It gets really hot during the fair itself, and not all of the permanent buildings are air-conditioned. In fact, I think most of them aren't. That seems like a massive oversight, although it was definitely cooler inside the buildings (and in any shade) than it was out baking in the sun. Actually, they need more shade structures. Not just near the food stands, but everywhere there's open space. More misters would be good too. read more

This review is for their Hazardous Waste drop-off event only. This Drive-thru event was very well organized. There were two separate queues. The attendants were around guiding the traffic. They scanned Driver License of every car entering because this event was only for Alameda County residents. The queue moved quickly and everything was conducted very efficiently. We had to stay inside our car at all times for safety and masks were mandatory. The attendants collected the bags/bins of hazardous waste promptly from our car trunk and we were out in less than 20 min. The attendants and staff were friendly and very helpful. We are very thankful for this essential service offered to us- residents of Alameda County! read more

The alameda county fair is always a fun activity. We went with one son, his wife, in-laws and our granddaughter. The service fee adds more than 10% to the admission. Cash isn't accepted by Most vendors so you need your credit card. The fair food is usually outrageous. Foot long corn dogs, smoked turkey legs and bbq ribs. There are lots of drink vendors and options for sweets ( ice cream, churros, cotton candy, candied apples, kettle corn to name a few) There are lots of carnival rides and gamers of skill. Our granddaughter went on a few rides and had a blast. The shopping buildings were crowded so we didn't spend much time in them. The collection displays were really good this year. It's best to go when the weather is cool. We were lucky it was not hot. read more

There always seems to be something going on at the fairgrounds whether it's the popular county fair or some other type of event. Last year was hard because COVID literally shut this place down for over a year. But this year has been a huge rebound for the fairgrounds. Of course, my favorite events are the ones that have anything to do with food because I'm a piggy. Plus, where else can you get the best fair food? Right here baby. Right here. Earlier this year, I attended their "Grab-n-Stay Food Fair Feast". It had been a while since I'd been to the fairgrounds, so I wasn't really sure what to expect. But wow, they really did an awesome job organizing everything. Parking was easy and free at the time, and they conducted temperature checks and bag checks right at the entrance for safety. All of the staff was masked up and they were constantly cleaning all of the tables and any trash that was on the ground. I felt completely safe during this event. COVID restrictions have relaxed a lot more since then, but the fact that they kicked it into gear so early made me excited to come back for more events in the future. And of course the FOOD!!! They had so many wonderful fair food favorites. If I had my way, I'd probably hit up every food stand. But since I can't possibly do that without passing out from overeating, I decided to visit just a few. Got me a corndog, lobster fries, and a pineapple dole whip. You really can never go wrong with a corndog from here. And those lobster fries were delicious! They accidentally made me the large size and still gave it to me at no extra charge. This thing is a HUGE ass bucket full of fries! Could not finish it, so I took that baby home for another day. I skipped the fair this year, but in previous years, I've always enjoyed coming here for the fair. But a few things to note if you're planning on coming to the fairgrounds for the county fair: *Get here as EARLY as possible! The lines to get into the parking lot get mad long in the afternoon, and then you have to wait in another line to get inside of the fair itself. *Bring lots of water! This year the start of the fair got pushed back to October, but it's usually in the summer time and it gets HOT. Water at the fair is super expensive too, so bring a few cold bottles of water with you. *Prepay for fair tickets and parking ahead of time online. Trust me, it will cut down a lot of time getting into the fair. *Bring lots of cash. Most vendors accept cards now, but there are still many who do not. There's an ATM at the fair, but those ATM fees can get pricey. Plus, transactions are faster if you have cash. *Bring folding chairs for the concerts and wine tasting events. They usually don't have very many out, and this will allow you to pick a closer viewing spot for the concerts. *Wear comfortable walking shoes that you don't mind getting a little dirty. There's lots to see and do at the fair. You'll be walking around all day in the grass and dirt, so I wouldn't wear anything that you wouldn't want to get dirty. *Be prepared to spend some money. The fair ain't cheap and prices go up just about every year. Between paying for parking, entrance fees, food, rides, advanced show tickets, betting, wine tasting, and local crafts/souvenirs, you will def be spending some dough. Went to their Grab n Stay event last weekend and it was great! We went around 5pm on Saturday and it wasn't too busy, there was still plenty of parking in the lot which is free by the way! Entry is also free and they temp check everyone at security. Bag check was quick and the line to get in was short. There are also restrooms available to use. They had plenty of tables set up on the grass to eat at and tables were spread out for safety. You're also allowed to bring your own blankets or chairs to sit on in the grass. The lines for food weren't too bad. The only long line I saw was for funnel cake everyone else had a short line or no line to order at all. There's only 11 vendors but it was nice to have all the food in one area. Easy to walk around the whole area first to see what you want before you order. We ended up getting the chicken mowie which is chicken and rice served in a pineapple with slices of pineapple on the sides. They will wrap it in foil if you want to take it to go. This was $14 tax included, which isn't too bad for fair food considering a plate lunch at a Hawaiian bbq restaurant is around $11 or $12 now. Also got the lobster fries which we've had at the regular fair before. There were big chunks of lobster on top and a bucket of fries underneath. They also sell garlic fries at this vendor. Would have liked them more if the lobster was served with garlic fries. This was $19 so a bit pricey but most fair food is. Other choices of food included dole whips, funnel cakes, corn dogs, churros, pizza, gyros, bbq meat and sandwiches. There was also a stand selling alcohol. Overall a good variety of food, a few more vendors would have been nice but it wasn't too bad. Prices aren't any higher then they usually are at the regular fair. Enjoyed it and felt safe. It was a bit chilly in the evening so bring a jacket. May go back again this weekend earlier in the day! read more

State Fairs are fun! Got to pet a super cute pig named Strawberry. The entertainment was great, and over all a great time to spend with family. I LOVE the Mom & Pop owned Vendors. You know, the ones that sell the home made bath bombs, cute baby T-shirts, I even go a wood chipped sign. You know the ones that say, "The (insert last name here) Family", and has cute stick figures on it. Even a hot sauce guy. I'll always support the Mom & Pop Owned businesses. Now on to the ugly, which is why I'm only giving 3 stars. I've been meaning to upgrade my phone from Verizon for a while. I realized they were a 3rd party (that means they're doing business as Verizon). Their actual name is Cellular Sales. The guy, (whom I'll refer to by his initial Y) ripped me off. He charged me a hidden fee of $40 which he included in the tax price. He never said he there was a hidden fee until he charged me. He also did not honor the $800 trade in-offer. Also, the Mattress Firm people opened up a credit account under my name without telling me. Hella shady y'all! Don't trust those "bigger" businesses at these county fairs. read more

I've been here many times. I've never really had a compliant other than it can get a bit crowded but can't hate on a place for being popular. Getting in and out is always quick, smooth, and organized. They're only taking cards for parking post COVID, no cash. Unless it's an emergency, skip the honey buckets at the entrance. There are really nice regular bathrooms inside that are always very clean and well stocked. Today there was an attendant there cleaning every time I looked at or used the restrooms. Be choosey about your drinks, saw quite a few $14 beer stands before stumbling on the very nice, reasonable, and tasty $6 Piston Pete's. It's awesome they allow you re-entry to the Good Guys car show, we had a lot of car parts we grabbed at the swap meet and carrying those around all day would have been a bummer. There are many areas to park, a kid zone, multiple buildings, shade, and areas to sit. I've perused cars, scrapbooked, run a mud obstacle courses, enjoyed the fair, and attended a quilt show here. The Alameda County Fair is a tradition in the Bay Area, and lately, it seems they have been stepping it up! I had a blast there. The trick is to buy your tickets and parking passes ahead of time online. You can add these to your phone to make getting in as fast as possible. The parking is close to the park. You can park in Gates 8 and 12. Be prepared in comfy clothes to walk around the grounds; you will get your steps in. Once you enter, you are greeted by carnival rides, games, and food! The main strip of food is directly in front of you. Here you will find foot-long corn dogs, bacon cheesy curly fry bricks, turkey legs, and more. If you're looking for food, this is one of the best spots. As you journey throughout the park, you will find more food like deep-fried Oreos, Dole Whip, and funnel cakes. There is so much! Pace yourself. Throughout the park, you will see music performances and museums. I went into the little critters building and saw cute bunnies and a snake. There is a farm area where you can see goats, pigs, horses, and cows. There is a horse racing area where you can watch the races or see a medieval jousting match. If you have a chance, see who is performing at the main stage at 8 p.m. The fair usually brings in a top-tier cover band or a well-known artist. E-40 performed the night before. I had a chance to see a Prince cover band named Purple Reign. They killed it. On my second night, I had a chance to see LeAnn Rimes, and she was amazing! To see that type of talent at a local fair is pretty cool. Lastly, the carnival! This is the area with the rides and games. The rides are your typical county fair rides--the scary ones, the fun ones, the romantic ones. The games are fun too, so try to win your honey a stuffed animal. There are photo ops all around the park, so keep an eye out. Tag the fair in your posts; they may show you some love. And remember this place is contactless pay, no cash. I'm glad I got to attend this year, I won a pair of Yelp Elite tickets as part of a giveaway. The rides were very fun but I did get a headache so I would suggest to pace yourself in between rides and choose different types of rides to avoid nausea or a headache. Absolute money pit of an afternoon, you'd be better off going to six flags or great America. I came here for the county fair and it was just terrible. I swear these people try to squeeze every single dollar they can when you visit. It's $15 to park, another $18 just to go inside per person, and another $40 for a wrist band or $4 per ride per person. They also conveniently have the height requirements set up so that if you have a kid 4 or under then they can't ride anything without an adult. And wait for it... you have to pay to escort your kid! So that means another $40 wrist ban for you the adult just so your kid can ride a few rides. It's completely rigged because these exact same rides have shorter height requirements everywhere else. Many events are held here, but the RV show was the one that reeled me in. Parking and traffic control was organized. From the lot to the show was not that far, but shuttle service was available for those who needed it. Entrance was a separate fee. Ticket collector should have teared the tickets in half to allow in and out access. His response was to trust him that it would not be a problem. That's far from feeling assured. Hilarious! Initially thought the other RV makes would give interest, but that wasn't the case. We spent most of our time at Airstream. Everyone has a preference and the RV show has something for everyone. read more

Non Stop fun and food all over the place. The last time I was at the fairgrounds for the County fair has been years and for sure a lot has changed! To get right into it. Foods are priced decent to almost high. There the typical vendors who sell garlic fries to fried Oreos which are priced at $8-10. For meal portion foods the price is from $15-20. When it's comes to the games is when I would say try to avoid them. 1 credit/ticket is technically a $1 so if you're thinking you can get 5-10 games with $20 ... not even close. There are indeed many activities such as the free drone light show and fireworks. Country club show where you can dance with the crowd and show your moves. The comedy show near the Horse Racing area where the drone show plays and many more. The rides I would say are worth the price. 4-5 tickets at most for each and every ride. So for $20 is about 4-5 rides. Rides are fun and scary but ride with your own risk. All in all it's a good time during the summer to take your kids or even take your significant other! read more

This is a review for Fair Food Friday. To participate in this event, you need to order your meal tickets online and prepay. You have the option of adding alcohol to your dinner. I'm all for supporting local and we like to go to the Fair, but with COVID-19, that might not happen this year. On the day of pickup, you drive to the Yellow Gate entrance on Pleasanton Avenue (where the train stop is). You'll be directed to enter the Yellow Gate (a first for me) and drive up to one of two lines. Someone will check you in on the tablet, and then someone else will bring your order to your car. You can opt to have it placed in the trunk or inside your car. What was really cute was the painted cows that you typically see around the Fair were on the drive around the park, but they were wearing masks!. It was encouraged to take photos and use the hashtag #alamedacountyfair, #fairfoodfriday #foodie. The pick up experience was five stars. Let's talk about the food. This is where it gets a 3 star. The brisket was well done, some parts were like beef jerky. The loaded tots needed to be warmed up, but on the dry side. The beans were good because my son ate it all. The cheesecake tasted like a churro covered cheesecake. I'm sure it was good when it came out of the fryer. I don't regret participating in this event, but I'm not sure I could do it again based on the food. read more

COVID testing review. Testing is now open to all county residents! Please get tested if you think you may have been in contact with someone with covid or if you have symptoms. It's so easy and it's free if you have insurance. Drive through testing, you don't have to get out of your car. Well organized. You snake through a drive through and wait maybe 5-30 mins depending on how busy they are. They're open 9-12pm M-F or until they run out of tests . I came here last night for the Nor-Cal night market event and wow was it FUN! I had a blast coming here with my husband because we knew was to expect from a night market because we originally was introduced to it in Chang Mai, Thailand. There was many delicious food options to choose from varying from sea food, meats, soul food, desserts, and drinks. My husband and I tried a few places and wanted to try more but we were too full from eating too much. The lines were long for certain vendors because of the popularity. We tried steak fries, lobster Mac n cheese, rainbow grilled cheese, jasmine green tea drink, beignets, Hawaiian garlic shrimp and churro ice cream. My least favorite was the lobster Mac n cheese only because I'm not a big fan of lobster! Also they had an area for games to play, also a ton of vendors to check out for shopping, and a a few performances to watch for entertainment. Also what I loved the most was that the event lasts until 12 am which is great for people who get off from work late but still get to experience the night market and they also cater to people who eat halal. I'm not a huge fan of fairs in the first place so I gave it an average rating. There is nothing special about it, it's about the same as any other fair but I do like the delicious corn dogs, funnel cakes, churros and things. It's hard to rate a fair because they change. Sometimes they have food trucks and sometimes not, sometimes rides and others don't. So it all really depends on what you go for and what you are looking for as to if the fair is for you. read more

We went here for the Sip Savor and Wager event. It was $40 for the unlimited wine tasting event and included admission to the fair. I got tickets online so we skipped the line but it looks like you can also get tickets on the day of. There was no line when we went on a Saturday afternoon. There's a security check point so keep your greater than 3" knives at home. Parking was $10, cash only. There are ATMs everywhere but it looked like all of the food stands we visited accepted cards. Skip: Asian Inspired Cuisine. Namely the orange chicken burrito. Trust me, I tried to talk my husband out of it. But as a Panda fan he just had to get it. For $10 you get a large burrito looking thing filled with overly syrupy orange chicken, a handful of limp chow mein noodles and a huge scoop of room temperature fried rice with a weird aftertaste. This monstrosity shouldn't even exist yet here we are. But then again they did warn you with the Asian Inspired bit. Fried macaroni and cheese balls. You get 2(!) For $9. It's exactly what you expect. Scoops of macaroni and cheese breaded and fried. Not bad but you can get these in your frozen aisle. And like many fair foods, overpriced for the portion. Not especially unique,I would skip it. Get: Tacos, 3 for $10. This stand was at the wine event. Was it the unlimited bevmo quality wines? Maybe but these were tasty little things. The truck is associated with a restaurant so they probably have actual chefs. BBQ beef was the tastiest one. We got one of each (pork and chicken being the other options). Don't get the nachos. Tiny portion, bare bones chips and nacho cheese. Soft serve with the waffle cone. Need I say more? These are great. Don't get one to share or your husband will stare daggers at you the whole time. Wine event: i highly recommend this if you're a wine drinker. Bring a hat. The event is in full sun spare a tent packed with people who enjoy saving a seat and leaving for long stretches of time. Water is plentiful. And be sure to pace yourself. They have some lawn games available. Some of the hosts actually owned wineries. Others were volunteers or were staffed for the event. Don't ask any hard questions. They give you 2 souvenir glasses, a book to gamble on the horses, and a checklist of all the wineries present. Dangerous game for type A's. No, the do not have beer at this event sorry guys. But there is a brewery just around the corner so you can go get your pint and come back to watch your significant other tick off more boxes while asking if a winery is local and getting the response "no it's made in Italy, you can get it at bevmo." This fair has events for kids which I personally enjoyed-pig races, small animal expo, petting zoo. We'll definitely be back next year. read more
