The space is well laid out with various sections, making it easier to browse. Really cute vintage shop with nice owners and unique selection of items. They even had old school board games! Rocket Reuse evokes a simpler time-come check them out.

I was not expecting this kind of horrible customer service. It was my first time here and will definitely be my last.

We figured we'd just be given a late fee. I work in the city, so I have helluva time making it there before 7. When I get there, Safeway is open of course (24hrs as it states on the DVDPLAY website), but the kiosk will not accept the DVD. It told customers to call them. I thought the kiosk was just broken or something, but it turned out that DVDPlay was just closed. Great! So inconvenient. I will not use them again.

I ended up buying a couple of new records as they got some stock on Record Store Day here as well in addition to their usual huge inventory of used (and new) records. I even got to replace an old Rolling Stones live record that I loved (and at some point lost in my own collection). There's a big parking lot and it's fairly easy to find parking. It was a little hectic when we went, only because it was on Black Friday.

Digital downloads be damned, this shop is focused on physical media...CDs, DVDs, cassette tapes, Blu-rays, and of course, vinyl. Even before picking up spares at Park Bowl, I recall that moment in my youth when I made the monumental decision to switch my record purchases from vinyl to CDs. Nowadays, vinyl is making a comeback among a younger generation looking for a higher quality, more realistic sound quality. I saw these Gen Z audiophiles flipping through the long LP bins in search of the elusive underground classic their stereophonic friends could appreciate and envy. Personally I could find nuggets of my own. Albums like The Very Best of Spike Jones (Photo 10) and The Complete 2,000 Year Old Man (Photo 5) resonated with me. I was happy to see individual LPs consolidated into boxed sets like the Linda Ronstadt retrospective. Beyond the music is the expansive DVD collection of movie titles both classic and obscure. There's also books and collectible merchandise like pop-culture lunch boxes and celebrity prayer candles. I walked out with international vinyls showcasing music from Brazil and Nicaragua last weekend, but finding the Thriller album was icing on the cake. I wasn't really looking for it, but there is a Jackson 5 section showcasing many of the Jackson 5 albums and their individual projects. Service - I had great service the first time I went because no one else was there. The second time I went, the service was still good but being that it was busy, he pointed me to the exact locations I could find what I was looking for if it was there. I feel like he really knows his shop, and that in itself is valuable. There are many, many vinyls. They're organized as well.

Wow. This place feels like a relic from a bygone era. People tell you about how "so much has changed" as they grow older, but more my generation, nothing more aptly demonstrates that than what has happened to the home video market. It's so cool to see places like this chugging along when everyone is streaming their content from home. I was surprised how packed this place was when I went in on a Thursday afternoon. It had an extremely old school feel. Well organized, lots of light and space. They have everything you can imagine to rent, new and old, well known and forgotten. They have a large section for sales. I do wish they would price a little bit cheaper for the blurays they sell (4.99-7.99 is the sweet spot for most people buying used in person), as I've seen perfectly sellable merchandise sit for literally over a year. Still, they sell most for 8.99-11.99. Go here. Rent, experience the world, buy the movies if you can. These are the sweetest people ever and I want them to stick around. read more

I recently visited this store while searching for a wig. I was impressed by the wide selection and fair pricing. However, I was informed that trying on wigs was only allowed if I intended to purchase one that day, due to sanitary reasons. I respected this policy, but observed two other customers trying on multiple wigs without issue. When I decided to leave, staff intercepted me and explained that different wigs have different policies. This inconsistency left a negative impression, and I was not asked which wigs I wanted to try on. As a result, I will not be returning to the store or recommending it to anyone I know. read more

I went into this store over the holidays since I saw that it was open. They were even open on New Year's Day! I was pleasantly surprised. They have a huge selection and it brought me back to the day when you could spend hours in a video store browsing through titles and figuring out what to watch. Their prices are very reasonable and they also a rent one get one free on Mondays! What a deal! I hope that this stay continues to stay open. The stylist couldn't define the curls and I left with frizzy hair. When I got home, the extensions caused tension in the temple area. When I came back to have the extensions removed, I was passed off to an assistant and she aggressively removed the extensions. My hair was thinned out and extremely brittle from the aggressive takedown. Never again, I learned a lot from this experience.

I received a text confirmation a day or two before. And, when I showed up, Pat was there! Believe me this is a big deal. I don't know how many times I done had to wait outside of a shop for the stylist to show up! Pat greeted me with a smile, and I could tell by her energy, she's a good person. She was kind, patient, and listened to my concerns about my hair and I knew right away I was in good hands. As she did my hair she shared with me what she was putting in my hair, what it's purpose was, and her assessment of how my hair felt before and after the product. Pat took her time, was gentle, and used great care from start to finish. I don't like a lot of heat on my hair, and she respected that, and used the temperature I was comfortable with.
