I went to Performance for a second opinion after a dealer's shop (which I had used for over 10…read moreyears) told my wife that her 9 year old SUV needed 4 new struts and 4 new tires for $3,200! Remember, this shop had done all scheduled maintenance, including oil changes for 9 years (and put new tires on less than 4 years ago). Performance did a complete inspection of the SUV, and determined the struts were fine, and the tires good for 5,000 miles! Their report included pictures and measurements, which I appreciate. They'll be getting all my non-dealer-required work for both my vehicles ftom here on out.

Both an employee and the manager rode with me and acknowledged that the car was pulling, but the next day they walked that back and claimed it was just following the road. Reluctantly, I went in and they took my van for 15 minutes, gave me a quote that was $250 higher than another company. I went to the cashier to pay and the price jumped to $72 and some change. I asked what their tax rate is. He said that the extra $5 was for shop supplies. What shop supplies were used to look at a vehicle? Why wouldn't you tell someone before performing the service? I wouldn't trust these guys.
